I slept off last night and was woken up at 2am by a sharp pain.. I took my bath by 2:30am and tried sleeping back by 3. Got to the hospital by 5:30 and the nurses checked and said I wasn't dilating and that all the pains I felt last night and still feeling is false. That I should come back next week Tuesday. I've been crying and I'm still crying because it's painful. I'm going to be offline for a while. Thanks for the show of love I really do appreciate, proudmom38 help me thank prouddad. Thanks to everyone..

Please, squatting is not encouraged during 3rd trimester or during labor unless you've been doing before pregnancy.
Squatting can lead to prolonged labor, difficult delivery and a generous episiotomy or possible CS.
If you squat with your knees and feet parallel, your pelvic will be in a triangular shape but if you squat with your feet pointing outward, your pelvic will be in a reverse triangular shape. I'll try to explain each.
A woman in her 3rd trimester can't squat with her feet and knees parallel. What it means is that when she's squatting, the upper side of the pelvic is open while the lower side is closed. Now, the optimal birthing position for babies is occipital anterior i.e. The baby's face facing your back. This position makes labor faster and most babies turn to this position during active labor.
If you are squatting and your baby is not in occipital anterior position, you force the baby's head to descend into the pelvic with no room to change which means you may be faced with a difficult labor. The baby will be in occipital posterior position and the outer side of the pelvic will be tighter. Yes, squatting is known for toning the pelvic.
If you squat with your feet pointing outwards it makes the upper side closed and the lower side open. This means that you can be fully dilated but the baby's head will still not be engaged or it will be hitting the pelvic bones. Most babies get engaged during active labor.
How about women that do water birth and deliver in a squatting position? You may ask. Listen, no professional midwife will allow a woman to squat during labor unless the head of the baby has passed the ischial tuberosities. When the head passes the ischial tuberosities, then the woman is allowed to enter the water for delivery. By design, a heavily pregnant woman cannot squat with her feet and knees parallel.

You can turn a labor that is meant to last for 3 hrs into a 10 hrs labor by squatting.
Walk, Run, Dance, climb the stairs, get down on your 4's, lie on your left side, rock on an exercise ball with your knees lower than your hips but please avoid squatting unless it's been part of your routine before pregnancy.

To God b all d glory my baby arrived dis morning by 12:15 am. Was 8cm when I arrived D hospital by 9:30. Indeed wat God said in d Bible was for me(Is 66:7 ).and God who did it for me will do it for other mama's in d huz.its a boy,edd was Oct 6 but delivered Sept 26.

when you talk of supernatural delivery, olowogbogboro did it for me.
my birthstory is the handwork of God. Thursday was my antenatal and I had mind of going for antenatal until
contraction started at 2am and continued on and off till I couldn't hold it again. I woke ifemi around 3am and told him I will hold till 5am and we can go to the hospital but by 4:30am I couldn't hold it any longer cos the contraction was coming on and off and I was using my timer to time the difference.I told ifemi let's head to the hospital I got into the hospital premises by 5:10am and I requested for my file and went straight to the delivery room, on getting to the delivery room with ifemi the matron asked him to go bring my bag and as at time it was 5:20am she said madam go inside and lemme check you.
Immediately she wore her gloves and checked she asked if that was my first and I said no 2nd meanwhile there was no show at all throughout the contraction and the matron said you are progressing and left to attend to another patient. She was wearing her gloves to attend to the other woman in the same room with me and I started feeling intense pain and I told I want to poo she said madam wait and she called another midwive before I knew it I was told to poo and I did dat with all my strength because I knew it was no poo, I was about to birth my princess and she came out crying and I was cleaned up.
my princess came 5:40am weighing 3.25kg.
my hubby couldn't believe it when he was told I had given birth.
Was discharged the next day.
