Honestly, Bible reading really matters, but I think people oversimplify it sometimes. Reading the Bible alone doesn’t automatically translate to spiritual growth if there’s no understanding or application. Many people read it daily like a routine, yet their character doesn’t reflect anything spiritual.

For me, the key is intentional reading — asking questions, reflecting, and actually trying to live out what you read. Even a few verses properly understood can be more impactful than rushing through chapters just to tick a box. Also, prayer and personal discipline go hand in hand with Bible reading; one without the other feels incomplete.

Spiritual growth is a journey, not a competition of who reads the most chapters.

Oh yes! I and my colleagues did same. One private school owner engaged us but after hearing different stories from other colleagues who worked for him, we insisted that this man should reject us. Initially he was unyielding so we took the matter to our LI who did the needful. We found ourselves in a govt secondary school where we didn't need to stress ourselves so much.
