The reason for stealing is greed, arrogance and impatient.

Anyone with this three things must enter into crime. And most Nigerians have these three things in them.

Politicians in Europe are not as emboldened as the sticky fingers we have here,there are systems in place that catches up with you in no time. But here our politicians are shameless thieves, they steal for 4 to 5 generations to come and nothing catches up with them. Here it's selective justice once you are perceived as an enemy.

I beg to disagree, the problem in Nigeria is insecurity. Not insecurity of lives and property but inseurity of what will happen tomorrow, so they are stealing for tomorrow not because of bills. If income is certain most people won't venture into politics.

The standard/bar they raised for themselves back home is always unreasonable. They get to europe and see that money indeed does not grow on trees. The money comes in trickles,plus bills over there are knee deep. Crime then becomes the major quench to there insatiable greed.
