I have four rules which I developed newly in mathematics with their proofs. The questions now are :

How can they be made known,
How do I make them known,
Who would I meet?
Where would I meet the person?

A boy coper who is among the corp members of stream A, batch A,had a moment mental disorder one early morning in the orientation camp.
The experience was so bad that the other copers made a threat of protest against the soldiers who had mercilessly beaten the boy coper up until the camp captain came out, and was on his knees in the presence of other copers,rendering apologies. His humble action really calm the whole situation, after the boy coper has been taken to a hospital outside the camp.

Let the formula become :

G+M+F=K..........A

Let M denotes the mothers age,then

G=M/2 meaning that the girl is half of her mothers' age. If this is so,then the mothers age is two times the girls age.

That is,

G=m/2, we clear fraction to have

2G=M

M=2G.........1

We are told that the girls father is 5 years older than the mum. This means that 5 must be added to what ever age her mum is.
That is

F=m+5
But m=2G therfore,

F=2G+5.........2

Now plug equation 1 and 2 into equation A, i.e,

G+2G+(2G+5)=k
By like terms we have

5G=k-5.

Multiply by 1/5 to have

G= 1/5(k-5)

G=k/5 -1

Now,since the age sum is 100, then k=100. We now have

G=100/5 - 1=20-1=19

Thus G=19. The girl is 19

Plug G=19 into equation 1 and 2 to have the mother and father's age.
That is,

M=2G
M=2(19)=38. Her mother is 38.


F= 2G+5=2(19)+5=43. Her dad is 43.


Let us see the veracity of equation A.

Solve for F from equation A to have.

F= K-G-M

But m=2G thus we have,

F=K-G-2G

F=K-3G.........B. It follows that equation B is F value, thus we plug equation B into F in equation A.

G+M+K-3G=K

G+2G+K-3g=K

3G-3G+K=K
But 3G-3G=0

Now k=K. The truthfulness of the equation A is proved.

Note that,

F=K-3G

When G=19, and k=100 then

F=100-57=43.

nice try bro, although you made some some mistakes especially at the point where you took log of both sides. e.g it ought to be log(x+y)= log5 and not logx + logy = log5. but i must admit, you did a very good job.

here's another approach;

x + y = 5.......(1)
x^x + y^y =31.......(2)

from eqn(1), x=5-y, hence we substitute this value for x in eqn(2).
(5-y)^(5-y) + y^y = 31.......(3)
now, we have reduced the problem to what value of y that must be inserted in eqn (3) to obtain 31.

a thorough look at eqns (1) & (2) shows that the values of x & y must be positive integers within the range 0<x<5 and 0<y<5
clearly, y=3
i.e (5-3)^(5-3) + 3^3
2^2 + 27
4+27=31
now that we have established that y=3, we shall substitute the value of y in eqn(1) to get x
recall that x+y=5
therefore; x+3=5 or x=5-3=2
hence, x=2 when y=3

(xlog^x + ylog^y) = log 31------ eqn iii.
log(x+y) = log 5 ------------ eqn iv.
xylogxy= log 31 -------- eqn v.
log xy = log 5 --------- eqn vi.
(Using elimination method);
xylog5 = log31
xy = log 31/log 5 =6.2 approx. 6.

Recall, from eqn i, x + y = 5.
So x = 6/y or y = 6/x.
Therefore x=2 when y=3.
ans: x=2, and y=3.

Apart from the known methods which could be used to derive the quadratic formula, a new formula has been developed by me, and the formula can proof the Almighty Formula. The formula appears magical by a simple glance on it, and even during its evaluation. Below is the magic formula in the mathematical capsule 1.0.

Capsule 1.0

F'(x)=±sqrt(f'(x)^2 -4f(x))


Given a standard form of the polynomial of the second degree as,
ax^2+bx+c=0

Now we let f(x)=X^2+(b/a)X+c/a....1

The above equation is a monic or reduced quadratic equation.

F'(x)=2X+b/a.......2

Now plug f(x) and f'(x) into the magic formula for evaluation.

Thus we have,

2X+b/a=±sqrt((2x+b/a)^2-4(x^2+b/ax+c/a) )

2x+b/a=±sqrt(4x^2+4b/ax+b^2/a^2-4x^2-4b/ax-4c/a)

Taking the like terms and finding the common denominator inside the root sign reduces to:

























2x+b/a=sqrt(b^2-4ac /a^2)

Take the square root to have

2x+b/a=±sqrt(b^2-4ac) /a

Now,multiply by 1/2 to have

X+b/2a=±sqrt( b^2-4ac)/2a

Solve for x to have,and take the common divisor at the RHS to have

X=-b±sqrt(b^2-4ac) /2a
