WIKE & GBAJABIAMILA
ASO ROCK HOAX
-----------------------

Correcting The Lies, Comic Version:

Nyesom Wike in his braggadocio, has lied to Asiwaju about owning Rivers politics and having the people in his pocket. A lie he expertly sold to everyone in Tinubu's cartel. And backed it up expertly with the heist of 2023 presidential election results.

A picture even Asiwaju now knows is not true, but has decided to play along as a wise man. The knowledge of this lie was the reason Asiwaju was hesitant to offer Wike a ministerial position in his cabinet. Until Wike rolled in the Rivers billions, to bribe the entire Tinubu cartel to help him get a position in the APC's government where he has already started fermenting trouble.

To maintain his superficial god-like persona, and to back up his braggadocio, meant he'll have to maintain his grip on Rivers state treasury, to keep the cash flow that will guarantee the largesse he constantly dishes out amongst the Abuja APC big wigs. And this also meant constant depletion and bleeding of the Rivers state resources. Because, no politician ever spends his own personal looted money. They always ensure they are plugged to a government source, and Wike thought he had done it excellently with Fubara, unknown to him what lies ahead.

Wike's years of commandeering SIM Fubara, has made him to forget that the man (Fubara) which he brought, is an astute accountant. And despite issuing him (Wike) a hint during the electioneering campaign, where he(Fubara) made jokes about lawyers. Saying, he is not like them who only talks, talks & talk again with no result. Wike was to busy to get the message in the gist.

HOW THE COOKIES CRUMBLED!

Five months down the line, Gov Fubara the accountant has realized, that sticking to the Wike's status quo is evil against the generallity of Rivers people. And he may end his four years tenure without having anything to offer Rivers people, if Wike's chokehold on the Rivers treasury remains. Wow!

Not to cause any uproar, Fubara deviced a method to stylishly bypass Oga's monitoring structure. So that he can have his own legacy even if its just a little legacy. So, he decided to work for the people as against Wike's wishes.

Fubara started putting his small small accounting knowledge to work. Shrewd as every accountant should be, he started plotting his own work plan.

First, he tried to revive the Songhai Farm, Buguma Fish-farm, the Abandon hospitals, and some few chinkini chinkini projects. But unbeknownst to him that this will cause crisis in Babylon. Because Oga wouldn't accept such affront.

This culminated into several other battles behind the scene for Fubara, which eventually cascaded to the event of the 29th & 30th of October at the assembly complex. The debacle that later removed the veil from the eyes of Rivers people to see what has been going on in the kitchen.

This includes the world famous all expense paid "Humiliation Trip To Germany", where Oga hired a private jet, flew a delegation of fake Rivers elders to Germany, just to be present when he will insult and warn Fubara to be careful not to tamper with his structure. otherwise he will wip him 24 strokes of the cain like a primary school pupil in the days of old— an embarrassment that made Fubara to threaten to resign, but for Odili"s intervention.

BACK TO THE ASO ROCK MATTER!

The more Wike continues to squeeze Fubara, the more Fubara becomes more aware of his responsibility and mandate to Rivers people, and this went on to the discombobulation of Wike the iron god.

But mind you—Wike still has a lot of Rivers petro dollars in his possession, as it is alleged that he collects over 9billion kpale monthly from the RIRS alone. There is also the 25% he is yet to deny, that he collects from the federal allocation. A heavy pocket that has made even the Aso Rock new rock star I call "Gbajabia-kyari" the presidential gatekeeper to fall in love with him. Gbaja, a man who loves money more than those who invented money.

And Wike knows how to use the name of the villa to manipulate people to get his way, an experience he gained from his days in service to the GEJ's.

But...

The actions of ordinary Fubara has started demystifying Wike in Abuja amongst the big boys. An act that must be dealt with, as it has started exposing his emptiness and frailties.

To massage his ego, and to get his mojo back. Wike has promised to set Fubara as an example. But each plot is hashes, Fubara keeps dodging it with the finesse of a marshal artist to his bafflement Mr Wike.

Even after stripping Fubara of all functionaries of gov't. Cornering all serving LGA chairmen and commissioners from Fubara to his side, Fubara is still quietly going.

This got Wike enraged, and from thense began his collosal errors and crumbling.

THE CRUMBLING OF THE DYNASTY THAT LED TO THE ASO ROCK MEETING

Wike in his brash and erratic manner, without thinking through his actions, has conscripted his spy & ally Mr Tony Okocha, to take over the reins of Rivers APC leadership. So he can be controlling both APC & PDP in the state.

He has further instructed his political stooges and hirelings in the assembly to decamp to APC without thinking,. All in a bid to teach Fubara a lesson without thinking through the consequences such action will have.

Reality finally dawn on him, when the court empowered Rt Hon Edison Ehie as speaker, and without wasting time, the seats of the 27members were declared vacant.

Wike then reached out to his lawyers, a thing he should have done FIRST, and they took him on a constitutional tour, and had a brief stopover at section—109 of the constitution, and there he saw the implications of their defection. It was there his eyes became clearer.

Wike Speaking!

Oh No, Fubara is winning me without shouting. Fubara must never win this battle, no way. This embarrassment is getting deeper and this shit is getting stinkier.

What do I do now to save my face?

Wike again!

Oh yes! I have to decamp to APC now, and take over the leadership there. I think am finally done with this PDP.

But then came Wike's nemesis!

Out of the blue, CRA emerged!

CRA decides to save the day like a superhero. Because, leaving Wike to continue to run amok with our politics, will destroy everything left of our democracy. So men of conscience ought to do something.

Amaechi reached out to Rev Osinbajo for a prophetic meeting, reach out to Akpabio Ekpankuko meeting. He met with Akpabio who was already worried about Wike's decision to join the APC, because he knows with Wike in APC, the days for his position as leader of the party in the south south was numbered. Fayemi joined the wagon, and together they visited the presidency to pledge their support, and to recover the leadership of the party at their various states.

And yes! This shit was getting serious for Wike, because with CRA hinting at a come back to APC, it means there is absolutely no place for Wike in the APC..

The situation was getting more dicey for him. Because, on his instruction 27 assembly members have lost their seats at the assembly. Even though he claims he bought them the forms and paid for their elections including the air they breathe. But how was he going to deal with such sticky situation now, since he can no longer go to join them in the APC?

He couldn't open up to them about the true situation of things. So he was busy, desperately looking for options, but no viable one was coming through. The NASS members were also looking at him with a bombastic side-eye, to see how he's going to work out any suitable solution, because some of them like Sen Barry Mpigi is said to have already written his resignation letter from the PDP, and was just waiting for a signals from Wike.

First, Wike fixed his decamp date for Friday 15th, but his liver failed him when the thought of CRA hinted return hits him. So he cancelled it.

He fixed the defection again for Sunday 17th, but Sunday came in too fast so Oga no fit decamp. Meanwhile, the former assembly members have now join the amnesty boys to become ex-agitators. And some of them have threatened to return back to Gov Fubara soon, should he not join them in the cancer party, because they don't want to be like a sheep without shepherd in the APC.

So what do I do now? Wike lament! How can I get out of this?

Oh yeah, in his mind!

Gbajabia-kyari is a sure plug to help.

If I go to his office to sing him a little song like "on ya mandate Jagaban x2" and cook him another okra soup, maybe he can help me save my face.

And Wike knows that Gov SIM Fubara is a very obedient boy. If he uses the Villa as venue, and the President's name to organize a little okwe, Gov Fubara must listen. but his problem was how to make it look more real.

Wike was all over Gbaja, who was hesitant at first, but of course, who doesn't like the Petro dollar that Wike brings?

Gbaja latter obliged, and reached out to the president, begged him to please meet with Wike and Fubara once again, talk to both of them like a father before they will tear their shirts in public. But all of these was in the scheme.

Baba accepted, not knowing the actual plan. Meanwhile, Gbaja has also spoken to Nuhu, begged him to be present and play along just to help a friend.

Monday came and they all arrived Aso Rock.

They made Fubara to agree that the outcome of the meeting was to remain a top secret. And the outcome was never to be divulged to the media, that doing the contrary will cause WW4, Whereas, they had perfected their plans to feed the lies to their propagandist to blow it up in the media, to make it look like they are in charge and the President has given an order, just to deceive Wike's gullible Rivers followers.

The meeting ensued as scheduled, and our baba the President gave his fatherly advice and sued for peace as expected, he then left the meeting hall to have some little adult discussion with Sir Dr Peter Odili on the side.

And that's when Gbajabia-kyari brought out the already prepared vague Resolution, claiming it was the president's directives.

Thankfully, Gov Fubara smiled at it. And respectful said he cannot sign such suicide note. Not now and not later, because Rivers people (Not Him) at all levels will resist it. Therefore, he was not in for it.

Gov Fubara left with his team, only for the purveyors of anti-democracy and aberrants of rule of law to go back to orchestrate their devices.

They immediately use the attendance register, where the meeting attendees had signed their signatures, crop it and paste it to the hogwash call resolution which they had prepared, gave it to their media machine to broadcast and started feeling fly that they had won the fight. Very laughable.

Of course Gov Fubara played along, not speaking to the media even though he vehemently rejected their proposition in its entirety.

THE TRUTH AGAINST THE LIES:

The truth of the Aso Rock hoax is that, Wike use Gbajabiamila to deceive the President, and used the presence of the President to deceive the public with a fake and unauthentic document. Gbajabiamila did this just to help Wike his collaborator and partner, to save his shame of losing out completely to an ordinary Gov Fubara. A lie that cannot be sustained.

Rivers state Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara never signed any Resolution as purported by Wike and his co-travellers, and in due course, the governor will speak. Although I know, that Wike is trying at all cost to bend the hands of natural justice, which he (Wike) has violated severally to the point it has come back to hunt him now.

I also believe, that the president will speak up in due time, to address the actions of those who are throwing mud on his name. Because, the public humiliation and media backlash on the president from this singular action, has refreshed the memory of the public again, back to the certificate forgery and identity theft that surrounded his name during his legal battle for his election.

For now.

Rivers people must disregard the lies, focus on supporting the governor to help him actualize his mission and mandate to Rivers people.

We must entertain no distractions, and no going back on the agenda of the governor which must be actualized.

Peeping in from Aso Rock window.

When I was dfending my project in Uni, I asked my supervisor and the external supervisor this very question concerning the arguments below, having come from Ogbaland. I was like, Sir, "Our people claim we're from Benin, but we don't speak like them, our culture differs from theirs but they claim we're from there, we speak more like the Igbos why"? The external supervisor just asked me to bow and leave. Even my supervisor refered me to someone I will never find just to get the answer to my question. We should be truthful to ourselves. The Ogba people from Rivers State have something in common with the Igbos.

*FINAL EXIT OF P&G FROM OGUN STATE: A Vision, My Experience*

_Hope you are aware of the exit of one of the top global Pharmaceutical giants, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) from Nigeria after 51 years in operations in Ogun state._

Nestle, Guinness, Cadbury, 7up are warming up to relocate...
Just imagine Agbara without Nestle, and the implications on the socioeconomic situation of Ogun state!
Do a rough estimate of P&G staff that are now jobless, especially Ogun state indigenes.
_Do I hear you say none of your family and friends work with them. Don't be psychophant. You can't afford to be a mediocre at a time like this, because of what you are currently benefiting from this regime._

Ayokunle Farm died,
Odutola Products died
ST.Tiamiyu production company
Many other companies that employed our youth in the early 90's and early 2000's have all packup.

I finished my Youth Service in Feb. 2005. I was given a letter of recommendation from where I served in Jos (Vitafoam Nig. Plc). I was scheduled for an interview at their Head Office in Oba Akran, Lagos. I was to resume in their Kano Branch as Maintenance Engineer but religious crisis happened around that time. They had to shut down the Site to forestall collateral damages. Hence, I had to officially be flung to the ocean of "labour market". My first bite of "Nigeria Happened to You".

Fast forward to 2007. I had switched to full computer engineering. I cloned Computer systems for people and repaired same in the popular Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos. I just dey hustle anyhow to make ends meet. I always trekked from Opebi, where I was staying with the Owolabi's (May God bless that family for me) to Egbon Ojo's Office in Computer Village where I normally perch with my flash drive tied to my neck as symbol of a computer guy. It's in this state Sister Opeyemi Ajayi sent me a link to text my details to in Ibadan. I did and from that text message, my journey of 11years commenced.

I sincerely didn't know how big P&G was. I already passed UAC Management Trainee Test, scheduled for their Medical when P&G interviews were going on. A classmate I met at UAC in Lagos complained about their work culture, which was not too palatable. I shared my predicament with Pastor Kehinde Owolabi who told me how big the Company was in UK where he stayed for years. How Nigerians even lobbied and prayed to be their adhoc staff. This made me settle for P&G as my First Career Love. I resumed Sept. 13, 2007.

P&G would first host you for a month in Kakanfo Hotel in Ibadan if you didn't have anyone to stay with in Ibadan. All bills on them. The Company had bus that conveyed you to and fro the designated Bus Stop. You're trained about the culture of the Company for One Month. Free healthcare in the best hospitals in Ibadan and Lagos. Quality food at the canteen. My first salary was huge then because of all the prorated allowances. For the first time, I was treated with dignity. Naturally, the company gave me a sense of ownership till tomorrow.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo might have his negatives but Ebora Owu knows Economics. He blocked border against products being manufactured in Nigeria. Businesses were booming. We work round the clock to meet up with orders from distributors. We only shut down on 24th December and startup night of 25th. Same thing for New Year Anniversary. We shut down on the 31st, start up 1st January Night. Full operation by 2nd. We couldn't cope with the demands. P&G had to be forced to invest more in Nigeria.

I first travelled out of Nigeria courtesy of my First Love, P&G. I, with four others were sent on an automation training with Rockwell Automation in UK. Our Nigerian coursemates for that One Month were people from Total, Mobil, etc. No manufacturing company dared such investment but the almighty P&G. You're escorted even to Visa Office by Mobile Police entourage. You're taken to and fro the airport with same entourage. Because they see you as asset that nothing should happen to. Imagine giving "ordinary technician" such honour. That's my P&G for you.

"AGBARA, THE FUTURE."

Because of the market demands, P&G decided to expand their investments in Nigeria. Paper section of the company was relocated to Agbara. Over $300Million was invested there with state of the art facility built by Julius Berger Nig. Ltd. We had Gym facilities. We had massagers. We had table tennis. We had football pitch. We generated our own power with a massive Gas Generator. Your badge is the access to doors, offices, canteen, gym, everywhere. These were the stuffs you only saw in American movies like 24.

P&G prioritizes trainings. Some of my guys like Betiku Olubunmi Jude , Gbadamosi Adekunle , etc were on training for the new production lines in Cairo for a complete calendar year. If you're married, you could go with your family, even some that gave birth there like Samson Oloyede Johnson went with Malle that did omogwuo in Cairo. My friend even named his child after the Cairo Doctor that meant a lot to their family. That's how important you are to that Company. They value you. How would you not love such company? The Femcare guys like Stanley Emite , Aderanti Yomi , Adewale Ajibade ,etc, went to Germany for theirs. That's how big P&G was.

"Agbara, the Future" became the slogan. That was the plan before Nigeria happened to my beloved P&G. The startups for the new lines started getting extended due to our Nigerianness. Custom's policy summersaults started affecting the logistics. Border flung opened. Cheaper products littered the market courtesy of another Govt policies. 3 brand new babycare lines were brought for initial installations but only 2 could be installed. Cheaper products had taken over the market before we produced our first diaper. The "future" was punctured from the world "go".

We would produce but no one to buy. Sometimes you wanted to produce, Shell might tell you, they couldn't supply gas to power you generator. You had to switch to expensive diesel to power the other diesel generators to produce to meet up with the little demands. To transport the finished products became a challenge too. The roads were horrible. Containers doing gymnastics by summersaulting anyhow on those gully-holes (because those were not potholes). I even learnt the companies around the axis like GSK, UNILEVER, P&G, to mention but few approached the State Govt and proposed to fix the road with a possible tax waivers to no avail. They told them to bring the money while their works ministry help them fix it. The companies became helpless and backed out.

Agbara ceased to be the future courtesy of both external and internal self-destructive birthed out of greed and untamed avarice. The investors borrowed us $300m at the exchange rate of less than #200/$. In Buhari's first 6months, it had jumped to #500. He fell ill and Prof. Osinbajo was able to stabilize it at #350/$. P&G had no alternative than to do all it could to stay afloat business-wise. Until Tinubu came and did the worse #1000/$. Gradual retrenchment was introduced. Adieu my 1st Career Love. You actually "Improved and touched our lives". All your "offsprings" like Ariel, Pampers, Always, Gillette, Klin. Duracell, Oral B, etc would always have my endorsement anyday, anytime. Love you P&G._

PoliticsThe Legacy Of Awolowo Compared To Azikiwe's. by Makavelli001(op): 6:51pm On Dec 05, 2023
I always insist that the greatest merit for Igbos in recent times is *not simply the advent of the internet on the surface!* _It is the social media aspect of the internet_ which now allows independent thinkers to *challenge the lies of history.* In Nigeria, our little corner of the world, *through social media presentations,* scholars are now debunking the false stories perpetuated by the Yoruba press *(with the help of the north who has always been paranoid about Igbos).* The Yorubas took advantage of their civil war take-over of the press *to rewrite the history of Nigeria as it favors them...,* and if you believe them, *"every post independence success in Nigeria was Awolowo influenced"* and every problem in Nigeria was *"instigated by Azikiwe, Ojukwu and the Igbos!"*"The truth is reluctantly coming out"* and _Igbos are gradually being vindicated!!!_ Read this masterpiece below by *Professor Tekena Tamuno, a great historian and former Vice - Chancellor University of Ibadan.* By the way, he's not an Igbo man!👇🏽
===============

*"IGBO ARE THE MAKERS OF MODERN NIGERIA"

The problem with writing skewered history is that it equally misinforms its target: Kayode Esho was a great jurist, but Akunne Oputa was the "Socrates" of the Supreme court. Enahoro was a young editor, but Azikiwe made him that young editor with Osita Agwuna as his assistant, at his paper, the Southern Nigerian Defender in Ibadan, where my own father incidentally started as a rookie before shortly abandoning journalism for the stable berth of the civil service. The myth of Awolowo as building the first this and that does not match the documented economic history of the period.

Between 1954 and 1964, Eastern Nigeria was described as "the fastest growing economy in the world," by the Harvard Review; faster than China, faster than Singapore, and all the so-called "Asian Tigers." Awolowo is often credited with "free education".

But no one yet has pointed out any surviving school buildings of the period built by Awo. But all over the East there were quality schools built by the various communities using the Town Development Unions from 1954, and acessing the matching grants of the Eastern Nigeria Development Corporation. And this was the East with the poorest revenue resources of any of the regions. The Mbaise secondary school exists, the National High School Okigwe exists, the Ngwa High school exists, the Enyiogugu Grammar School exists, etc. These were solid schools built all over the East with matching goverment grants. But where are the buildings of the Modern schools in Western Nigeria? They do not exist. They were makeshift.

The Catholic church forced the Azikiwe government from its scholarship program, but it is also on record, that the Eastern government was the only government in the world that invested 45% of its revenues in education. The East had the highest number of schools; the highest school enrollment; the broadest penetration of medical services; and the best modern road network in west Africa.

Indeed if we look carefully, the only public hospitals and most of the schools still standing in the East today, at various stages of run down are the schools and hospitals built by Azikiwe/Okpara. Every division of the East had a Joint Hospital as part of the Eastern Medical services. So it is often claimed Awo built the first television station; the first sky scraper, and the first Sports stadium, the liberty stadium in Ibadan. Well, these are prestige or white elephant investments.

First, the Eastern Outlook, the government paper of Eastern Nigeria was the first newspaper established by any government in Nigeria, and it was of such quality and impact that the literacy level of Easterners, and the depth of public information retailed by Outlook was without compare. This is besides the fact that Western Nigerian Broadcast Services, WNBS-TV founded in 1958 only preceded the ENBC-TV founded in 1959, by only seven months. But Outlook preceded Sketch by about 15 years.

Now Azikiwe built the Onitsha Modern market, the first modern mall or trade emporium in West Africa. Onitsha was effectively Dubai before Dubai. People traveled all over Africa, from as far as the Congo and Sudan and Egypt, to come and buy and trade in Onitsha. The economic impact of this was humonguos. So, give me the vast Onitsha modern market over Cocoa House in Ibadan. *Azikiwe built the first Nigerian University at Nsukka* with the first School of Law, the first School of Engineering, the first Business School; the first school of journalism, and the first school of music and performance, etc. By the time its first graduates took the Nigerian civil service exams in 1963, everybody began to raise the cry of "Igbo domination" starting with Akintola and Ayo Rosiji. Give me UNN over Liberty stadium.

Azikiwe began the first modern library system in West Africa. The East had a system of city libraries starting with the very modern Ziks Library in Enugu. I Literally grew up in the Umuahia Divisional Library. These libraries were built all over the East. Schools in the East were built with libraries. Moreover the Eastern Nigerian Library Board had a sysem of rural amd mobile libraries. There was nothing like it anywhere else in Nigeria: kids having library cards and able to borrow or order books from the public library. Give me the the first library over the first TV. I do not by this mean that Awolowo did not make his contributions, but the regular skewering of the facts, and angling of contemporary national narratives often makes it seem these days like the greatest contributor to the founding of Nigeria and its development is Awolowo and the Yoruba, when the actual facts speak differently.

The great Ibadan historian, Tekena Tamuno, was unambiguous in stating once at NIPPS, Jos, that " *the Igbos are the makers of moderm Nigeria. When they abandoned their project, Nigeria collapsed."* We must remind Nigerians, particularly Igbo children, daily of these fact, to achieve what Achebe called " a balance of stories." And that also means we must read beyond the surface of things. Babarinsa's Guardian essay is angled carefully to maintain a revisionist narrative. And that is to be always challenged, however innocent it might seem.

Even today, most Yoruba think that Awolowo founded the Universities of Ibadan and Lagos. No one has reminded them that it took Azikiwe's pressures for a university for Nigeria, in his meeting with Arthur Richards in 1946, that led to the constitution of the Eliot commision and subsequently the founding of the University College, Ibadan. This fact is even clearly conveyed in Michael Crowder's eponymous book, The Story of Nigeria. Nsukka was Azikiwe's critique of what he felt to be the conceptual limitations of Ibadan. The University of Lagos was the result of NCNC's ideological contributions to the federal policy during the ill fated coalition government with the NPC. UNILAG was an NCNC project, shepherded by Aja Wachukwu as minister for education. Even the great UNILAG in her 50th anniversary failed to mention Prof Eni Njoku as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the university, a man that layed the solid foundation of what made Unilag is today.

These facts must be made known and put as forcefully accross as possible. Again, until the lion tells his own story, the story of the hunt will belong to the hunter.
PoliticsLagos Should Learn From Warri. by Makavelli001(op): 8:39pm On Dec 02, 2023
*Every Nigeria City Should Learn Something From The Collapse Of Warri.*

War destroys cities:
Every Nigeria City or aspiring city should learn something from the Collapse of Warri as Oil City.

Warri was a big industrial hub in the 70's - 90's.

Warri Refinery, NNPC, DSC, Delta Glass, Shell, Chevron, Schlumberger, Dunlop, Agip, Saipem, Halliburton were in full operation back then. Escravos & Forcados were at their peak.

The city thrived. The city was full of zeal and zestful activities. People living outside hardcore Warri called themselves Wafarians because of propinquity to Warri even though they were not Wafarians. To be a Wafarian was to belong to supposedly a unique lifestyle.

Multinational/Local Banks were present Citibank, FBN, ACB, Savannah Bank.

Business activities thrived. Warri port was a beehive of economic activities

Entertainment/Night life was at its peak, Musicians, Live bands at Palmgroove Hotel, Comedians held their sway: Fela, legendary Don Baker, Majek Fashek, Emma Grey, Oritz Wiliki, Rex Lawson were a few of many of the entertainers that made Warri ebullient. Lido, Zina, etc were comparable to their ilks anywhere.

The town was full of life and it thrived.

McDermot road was busy with Maritime activities and contractors. Kingsway Mall offered anything sold in Lagos at that time.

Joma & Mosheshe were big fish distributors across the Niger Delta.

Rubber produced locally, was used to produce plastics and tyres.

The town grew in size and became a conurbation with people coming from all over the country to settle down in Warri for economic activities.

The Airports were super busy, Escravos, Forcados & Warri Airport. The Warri Airport was even relocated to Osubi for expansion.

Warri was revelling in its glory. Warri Port was fully operational and served as an economic booster for the city. It served businesses in Warri, Benin, Asaba & Onitsha. The Port created huge employment opportunities for locals and the state.

Things started to go downhill from the late 90's. The community leaders and youth chairmen began to fight themselves over control/sharing formula for royalties that came from oil & businesses from settlers.

Itsekiri, Urhobo & Ijaw leaders & youths started fighting each other. The bloody fight started around 1999 and lasted for years till 2003/2004.

The community leaders started imposing local taxes called "Deve" on all companies, industries and local businesses, buildings & projects.

Little by little, the companies frustrated, started leaving.

This continued throughout the early 2000's till 2010. The companies kept on leaving, one after the other. The companies layed off their employees. Unemployment rose.

More companies left for PH, Lagos, Akwa Ibom. They layed off more staff. Unemployment increased still.

Today all that is left in Warri, is a shadow of its glorious past.

95% of all the big companies in Warri had either left or closed down.

Most of the young people have left Warri.

The ones left are driving Keke, doing P.O.S, Spa or Boutique, Beer parlour or doing hookup.

There's peace now, but the damage the greedy community leaders did to Warri, still lingers on and is almost irredeemable at this point.

Do not assume that your city can not be destroyed if it toes the same route Warri followed. Warri leaders did not ever believe that Warri will be this economically empty today while they were fighting then. Learn from Warri and protect our economies

Have you asked why big eeconomies like US, China, etc will never allow war in their countries?

We must learn and avoid things that will trigger war in our country no matter how strong we believe we are. Businesses and investors go where there is peace than where there is war.

Lagos State is presently exhibiting such atrocious high handedness in ways she is handling issues of defaults in physical planning policies, and should take a lesson from Warri. One should not be the regulator, enforcer and executioner all at once. High handedness only justifies the tag of an emperor or dictator.

In saner climes, persons who even built without approvals may be given options to regularise such developments. A government that gleefully destroys the wealth of her citizens, also poverishes herself.
