We must be careful what we wish for. There is definitely a better way to handle the conflict than dissolution. The dissolution of a union, particularly when it violates the constitutional right to freedom of association, might provide a fleeting victory now. But when that precedent inevitably circles back, the damage will be irreversible.

Let's not confuse private profit with national necessity. The attempt to label Dangote's interest as Nigeria's interest is an unacceptable conflation. This is a dispute between Dangote (who wants to have the leverage to maximise profit) and PENGASSAN, not a conflict between PENGASSAN and the Nigerian people.

Today it is PENGASSAN. Tomorrow, the exact same justification you use to ban them will be levelled against the likes of the NBA, the NMA, the NUT, and every other professional body. Bet on it: a violation of principle is a threat to everyone.

What is wrong in employing an Igbo doctor from Eboyin into Anambra state civil service? What’s wrong in posting an Eboyin doctor who has lived all his life in Anambra state to localities or whatever you call it?

Why are we falling for Reno's script? I used to think the man meant well, but now I know he only wants to spread division among Nigerian tribes (especially Ibos and Yoruba) for selfish reasons. The issue he just raised is not peculiar to Anambra but to many states in the country.

Pastor Reno's post is a precursor of the kind of messages that fan the embers of ethnic violence. Please let us all be wary of people like that.

If "Igbofication" is what caught your attention most, then it tells a lot about your mindset. This mindset is one of the biggest problems in Nigeria. If the humanoid were called Jane or Zuma or any other Nigerian name favorable to you, I'm sure you wouldn't have bothered. We need to unlearn to dislike our closest neighbors.
