Whynotthetruth: Which protocol boy was broken?
Is buhari's wife an elected official like Sambo?
Till infinity, Sambo would be accorded more attention anywhere than Buhari's wife who has no constitutional recognition or power or role...
BTW this write up is a propagandist handwork by someone interested in the post who's forcefully pushing for vacancy...So its absolute rubbbishhhhhh Tell that to your Oga wife, who snatched a microphone from a former governor and nearly slapped him for what she termed disrespect. |

I noticed u are just as constructive as I am and so I won't want u to waste time quoting someone who will never understand u. Thanks buddy. My only last piece for him is: He's insisting that Sambo being a former VP is entitled to privileges that shouldn't be accorded the president's family. But Sambo went with his family, and going by his logic, I will posit that only Sambo and not his family should enjoy any special privileges. In that sense, an eight-room apartment to him is a waste of resources. |

WombRaiders: Which laid down procedure?
Tell me why the Nigerian Embassy should accord Buhari's family members any diplomatic privileges?
Are they part of any Govt delegation to Saudi?
Are they not in Saudi to perform their religious obligation?
Why should the embassy deploy resources and man power to receive them?
Are they better than any other Nigerian performing the hajj?
You slave. But they did to Namadi Sambo and his family, as the report alleged, and you didn't query that! |

Politics › Nigerian Embassy In Saudi Arabia Snubs President Buhari’s Family by MalcoImX(op): 7:52am On Jul 09, 2015 |
For inexplicable reasons, the Nigerian embassy in Saudi Arabia this week side-stepped protocol by giving preference to former Vice President Namadi Sambo and his entourage of 15 family members over that of President Muhammadu Buhari when both arrived for the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia.
The Umrah is performed by Muslims from all over the world who converge on the holy city of Mecca to observe the ritual, which can be undertaken at any time of the year but mostly observed during Ramadan.
The pilgrims perform a series of worship activities symbolising the lives of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his second wife, Hajara.
LEADERSHIP gathered that both families arrived in Saudi Arabia this week for Umrah and while Aisha Buhari and her five children were allotted two-bedroom accommodation, the former vice president was allotted an eight-room apartment.
LEADERSHIP also learnt that while not a single protocol officer and vehicles were posted by the embassy to attend to the president’s family, a protocol officer and vehicles from the embassy were attached to the former vice president and his family.
An embassy source revealed that Buhari’s wife had travelled to Saudi Arabia via Emirate Airline instead of the presidential jet, as was the practice in the previous administrations, and had decided to seek alternative accommodation by herself at her own expense, to accommodate her and her children.
However, it was gathered that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided an official vehicle to convey the Nigerian president’s family around as it is done for the families of all visiting heads of state.
The source further revealed that the consular-general, Ahmed Umar, still sees himself as being more beholden to the former vice president than anyone else because Sambo it was that was instrumental to his elevation and posting to Saudi Arabia. He still sees himself basically as Sambo’s protege, a staff member of the embassy told LEADERSHIP.
The source added that even the two-bedroom apartment allotted to the president’s family was a result of the efforts of the ambassador, Alhaji Abubakar Bunu, and not the consular- general.
While the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was in power, Buhari and his family were denied any privileges by the Nigerian embassy in Saudi Arabia, even those due to a former head of state because he was in the opposition.
Sambo and his family had last year embarked on a widely publicised Umrah. | http://leadership.ng/news/445695/nigerian-embassy-in-saudi-arabia-snubs-pmbs-family

Dollyak: Why do you guys do this ? Let's talk about the comparative unprovoked killings done in the name of Islam/Christians in Nigeria and not the validity of both religion. Religion section is more appropriate for that. Muslims in the northern Nigeria are extremely violent. End of discussion. No more argument. If you still want to justify it by using off point argument, knock yourself out. Okay Dollyak, 'Muslims in Nigeria are extremely violent', and the American Christians who invaded Iraq for no reason, killing 174,000 (with some surveys putting the figure between 150,000 to a million) Iraqi Muslims were doing it to please Jesus. I think this agrees with you and you are satisfied! |

Dollyak: You are just shifting the post sporadically to try and fight for your faith. Poor you. Most western 'Christian'' countries you are talking about now holds a secular view. How many people now identifies as Christian? I live in the system so you can't pull a wool out of our eyes. The fact gay practises were forbiden by core Christians in the olden days is pretty conclusive. All these narratives of yours are red herring.
There are far less religious killings by Christians in Nigeria compared to Muslims. That is what matters, so forget about every other thing. You are not getting my point or you just want to drag the issue. Forget even about Islam and Christianity, the state has punishment for murder, and if it is not enforceable it is not the fault of the law but those who refused, for whatever, reason to enforce it. What you want us to do is to blame religious systems for your states' inability to function fully. Get this: Who kills who has never been my argument. My argument is, all religions do not encourage the taking of innocent lives, and had they done it, they'll lose their claims to being one. If you kill, you're OYO. Do you set free a Boko Haram on his reason that 'It's my religion that tells me to kill?' He is treated according to the law, and if it entails execution, it is applied to him. This is so because neither the state nor his religion agrees with his interpretations. It does not matter how he or anybody sees it - he has run foul of the law and must be punished. |

Lovesdaisied: I am ignorant on what Islam says, but the multitudes of terrorists today who cite the quoran and act on it makes me wonder.
How come many people of other religions in proximity with Islam have a negative view of it based on this fear of terrorism?
I mean, Christians, Jews, Hindus?
Don't you think that there is an atom of truth to it or are they ALL wrong?
Aren't you bothered that in several countries such as detailed in this list, only half or less than half of Muslims think that suicide bombings are never justified:
https://www.pewglobal.org/files/2014/06/PG-2014-07-01-islamic-extremism-10.png Are their views canonical? Are the views of mostly Western Christian countries on gay sex and marriage that of the Christian faith? I am asking you what the scriptures say and you're quoting "Opinion Polls" for me. |

barcanista: What the OP is saying is that Buhari should accept the resignation of Col Dasuki Sambo(RTD) instead of vendetta. Though Buhari cannot be prevented from carrying out probe on any sector or department. It cannot be ruled as vendetta, even if that's the case, because we don't know his motives for not letting him go. Maybe to make him/them confused. In strategy, the worst position to be is when you don't know what your master will do next. The opponent being close is easier to manage. |

omolami, pls don't be annoyed. | 1. You mean a 'Primary Six Certificate holder' should not investigate or what? I think they prefix his name with "President ...", not P6CH Buhari. 2. I don't know much about law, but I'll be with you if you can quote relevant provisions that specify actions against such. 3. 'Buhari likes vendetta' and Fayose survived. With what Fayose did, if it were 'somebody', those APC lawmakers must sit and impeach him. 4. And I think you're the one who Buhari should send to school. Zahra Buhari, his daughter, looks more educated than you. She can't write this concoction and call it an essay. |

U can see how they keep messing up their side of the bargain as an opposition. The truth is, APC is full of intellectuals and PDP is still trying to define themselves. And with rigging systems being dismantled, I think KOWA Party has more chances of success and being believed by Nigerians than them. |

Lovesdaisied: Does it still take away from the fact that his case is isolated while Islamic terrorism is systemic? Why do we talk about the "North" as opposed to Individual criminals?
Most people would agree that Norway is safer to live in when we discuss terrorism anyway. This is the point. My point still is, why is it difficult to apply the same yardstick for all. Were he a Muslim, would you not put Islam in the equation? Our viewpoints would have merged by simply calling him a Christian terrorist. Why do we always find a way to shift the post when it involves non-Muslims? I am looking for objectivity and fairness. In the final analysis, I believe extreme interpretations of scriptures that lead to terrorism automatically takes you out of your faith. So, terrorists of whatever persuasion are not people of religion, but lunatics. |
