Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that the Nigerian government lied about deploying 100 Airforce jets, to look for the Dapchi school girls that have been abducted by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

Writing on his Twitter page, Fani-Kayode described comments from the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, as “another of his crazy illusion and more evidence of his deep-seated delusions”.

“When our mendacious Min. of Information, lying Lai Mohammed, said 100 Airforce jets had been deployed to look for the Dapchi girls I knew it was yet another of his crazy hallucinations and more evidence of his deep-seated delusions. The Airforce themselves have refuted his claim,” he tweeted.

SportsThiery Henry May Succeed Wenger by Malizumedia(op): 8:20pm On Mar 01, 2018
Arsene Wenger’s reign as Arsenal boss hit a new low on Sunday after the Gunners were comfortably beaten in the Carabao Cup final 3-0 at the hands of Manchester City.

Arsenal looked second best for virtually the whole affair and left Gary Neville fuming on commentary for their failure to even run during a cup final at Wembley.

Goals from Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and David Silva did the damage on the day and it seemed as though Jack Wilshere was the only Gunner to come out of the game with any credit for Arsenal fans on Twitter.

Wenger has now lost his third League Cup final and it seems as though the Carabao Cup will be one trophy that forever eludes the Frenchman.

Although he has one more year on his deal at the Emirates Stadium, most Arsenal fans are questioning whether he should remain in charge at all.
Craig Bellamy said in the studio after the final at Wembley that he believes Arsenal may have missed the boat on a whole host of top quality managers that have now joined their rivals.

Crisis hits the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a bad turn for them.

The new agreement list of the State Executive Council (SEC) of the party, which was released by the national leadership on Tuesday, was said to have jolted the Senator Rashidi Ladoja faction.

The faction reportedly conceded some slots to the faction headed by Seyi Makinde against the former’s expectation.

While the list convey 14 slots to Ladoja’s faction, 12 went to Makinde’s faction. The positions of the State Chairman, Women Leader, Publicity Secretary, Legal Adviser, Vice Chairmen I and II went to Ladoja; the position of State Secretary and many other assistantship positions went to Makinde.

The two factions had organised parallel congresses late last year when they could not agree on a sharing formula.
