Taymi: Even when i'm not ovulating? You are safe only if u are ebf both day and night. not be expressing but directly from your breast to your baby till your baby is 6month old and AF has not returned. its another type of FP. it worked for me. I started cautioning myself after I saw my period 4months after delivery. |

hunniesuzie: This is late but I think you should suspend the walker for a while. I read some children get so dependent on it that trying to get themselves around on their own is stressful so they don't bother. My baby was about 9kg at 6 months and he crawled and is walking without issues. Your baby's weight is fine OK, I'll try and suspend it to see if he'll make a move. he's so free on the walker that he follows me about from the sitting room to the kitchen, scatter every where for me. Thanks |

jazzyjazz: Mama, crawling is not a milestone for babies Some babies don't crawl Some go from sitting to scooting to walking Don't stress about it He will crawl when he's ready or he may just walk instead
My son didn't crawl early and he had a lot of weight too. It didn't bother me. One day I put him to sit at usual, and went about my chores. Came back to see him crawling Thanks mama |

nana228: I don't know about Epsom salt but my first baby was 12kg at 6 months, this one was 9kg at 3 months. The first one couldn't move early like your son but he started crawling at 10 months and walked a week before his first birthday. He's no longer fat at 4 and he's not lagging on any of his milestones, in fact, we are learning to read. I also have a friend that has a very slim baby at 8 Months that isn't crawling yet but very good on his walker.

soonest: Jesu! Pls don't try the advice, he's okay the way he is. He will crawl when he's ready. Is he sitting? yes he sits without support, he rolls from front to back and from back to front. he lift his chest up with his hands but he does not crawl. |
Health › Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by MamaDG: 5:18pm On Nov 30, 2017 |
Please my baby has refused to crawl at 7months+ and some mothers advised me to bath him with Epsom salt to reduce his weight that his weight has been hindering him from crawling. He weighed 9kg at 6months. He can raise his chest with his two hands but to raise his hips up is where the issue is. He doesn't make attempt to pick anything outside his reach no matter how beautiful the toy is but he is very good on his walker. he is a very gentle and lovely boy. People's advice got me thinking because I don't really see any problem with his growth until they called my attention to it. |

perfectcrown: Mama,i dont intend to use either on my LO. My children never had eela.
I wad surprised & shocked about d "combos" on her LO's skin! Mama I never regretted using it. probably u used it directly hence the burning of baby's skin.I do use mupiderm cream or agnesia powder for my baby's rashes and it will go but eela can be so stubborn, even agbo stopped working and cacatin for where. eela has different grades, u'll see the way eela has designed so many children's body and u'll be amazed at different things they have been using. I know we have lot of mamas here that are using this but cannot come out to say they use it. its a treatment not an every day thing that some people has turned it to. if u have a baby that doesn't have eela, just keep thanking God cos eela can be so frustrating. |

zaynie: Hello mamas. I see and acknowledge all mentions. Thank you all.
All through MHC, Muna was acting up, throwing every thing she ate up. Just after MHC, she started running temperature. Gave her pcm, the temp went down ,some minutes later, she threw it up and the temp went up again. Gave her some few minutes, oya eat yam and egg. She slept for a long time, with a high temp, kept mopping with damp towel. At a point I had to wrap her head to toe in a wet towel. She kept throwing up all the drugs I gave her. By 10pm, I called the dad (he was downstairs) let's go to the hospital, so he ate and changed and we set off for Gbaja at around 10.45pm. Got there and we had to go and buy a card seeing as this was the first time she was seeing a doctor. Card was taken to the Nurse's station. Around 11.50pm I saw a known Paed leaving the consultation room, fully dressed for home. I went to the nurse's to ask why we weren't called up. She said they've been calling us and we refused to answer...... Me that was on a watch out o. My husband was like.... Are they alright sha? Nurse found out Paed had gone, she comes back to their station and drops our file on the table like..... I don't care. She goes into a room, turns on the fan and I guess she went to sleep. You're on night duty and you're snoozing by 12.15am? Na so I vex, carry MD phone number written on the wall, called MD. Told her all I'd done to stabilize my child from home and how her temp was spiking again because of the stress. How the nurse was nonchalant in her attitude. MD said I should carry my phone to the nurse. I knock tire, nurse don sleep go. MD said I should look for any hospital staff and give the phone to them, just then, another Paed walked into the emergency unit. Her eyes are red from sleep and I give the phone to her. MD speaks with her and she treats Muna. We were given mosquito bites in our bonbom, 3 sef (I don't know why I just don't want to call injection for her) and we got home around 1.20am. Moyo was the only one at home, asleep. All the nurse had to do was call the Paed via intercom that a patient needed to be attended to OR is it only when I run in unclad with a child in my arms and me screaming for help while crying like a banshee that I will be regarded as emergency?
We all want change but it really begins with you. Look at the man in the mirror and tell him to change. Change his attitude to work. Someone once told me its called 'work' because it's for you to actually stress yourself and get out of your comfort zone. When you go to work, do so with the intent of coming back home tired. You can't work and mise your energy.... I know medical personnels don't have it easy: understaffed and overwhelmed with patients but it's still your job to answer the patients as long as they're coming in. What will you do when there's a crisis like a really huge fire outbreak, a storm or serious flooding or a natural disaster? Will you fold?
Big sigh.....
Muna is better now. Using her drugs and playing rough play already (tumbled with her bike on the stairs this afternoon, fought with her brother just before she slept off )
Let me sleep the remainder of my sleep from last night. We thank God our Muna is fine, Those nurses attitudes can be very annoying especially General Hospital staffs. we thank God for given u the wisdom to call their MD. I ask for God's total healing on our Muna. |

beyedew: Sorry ma, but you are damaging your baby's skin. Why not try and find the culprit behind the reaction or you go for sebamed products or Aveeno or even natural oil? It could be your Lo reacts to something, like my 1st child, once he eats groundnut or peanut/peanut butter, rashes will appear on his body the next morning. I know it isn't easy looking at those ugly rashes but skineal is bad for babies whether little or much Cc mumjjj when I first noticed eela on my baby's body, I took him to the hospital to see the paed, what I was given didn't work, I bath him with the wine leave for a month, it worked at first and stopped working. I didn't use skineal directly on baby's skin like some mothers do, I believed the ori has suppressed the ugly work it could do. baby will outgrow it very soon and I'll stop |

MumJJJ: Thanks mama, Could ela be a reaction to something? we use Johnson products and we are on breastmilk ,formula, and water. could it be as a result of what I eat. They are twins but one does not have it. what works for me might not work for another person, the mother who introduced me to it's son is older now and has outgrown the eela stage,I exclusively breastfed my baby for 6months and eela keep reappearing on his skin, when u see me bring out the cream, it more like I'm rubbing him ori cos that's the most visible thing it and so far, he has not gotten any reaction to it so far. i use pure ori everyday and i switch to my combination whenever i notice anything on his body. |

MumJJJ: Thanks a lot mama. At what age could they outgrow? my baby use to have eela, I tried all manners of things, it keeps coming back. people told me I have an oyinbo baby that eela is their best friend (though I rejected it o), until I saw a mother with a clean fair baby, I asked what she's been using and she told me she's been using a small portion of skineal +ori+2capsules of ampiclox well mixed together. I did tried it and my baby's skin is very neat. I'll upload his pix very soon. The skineal should be very small cos skineal is not meant for babies. |

Graciouscharis: I used mirena. It’s an IUD too but hormonal. I used it from March 2012 to August 2016 although it was meant to last for 5yrs. My village people tickled my fancy and I decided to remove it earlier because I suddenly started missing my menses. I saw my period two weeks after I removed it, saw it the ff month and took in the next month. I had no issues with it and didn’t have to be checking if it’s there every time. If you have heavy flow or hates menses the way I do, you can go for it. The truth is that people react to contraceptives differently. Finding what your body will accept is key. I’m still going for this soonest. @Finding what your body will accept is key. Thanks so much |

dunasy: enque and feddy27..... mehn! hands in theatre air for you both oooo as per IUD....the name alone scares me.
I did arm implant though in Nov 2015 and removed August this year. Process wasn't painful as the arm used was numbed, and the insert was done ...everything was done under 5minutes... same thing as the removal, area was cleaned, numbed and removed...was told to take antibiotics for a week following the removal.
Yes, it's hormonal...I never saw my period for those months I had it but as soon as I removed them....aunty flow came with her bags....
It's supposed to be completely free but, the FP nurse might collect service charge,
Side effect for me: I lost weigh,no matter how much I ate, it didn't show on my body but, my needed flesh has come back in less than 3 months
cc: MamaDG after I read your post, i am being tempted to go for implant now. I'll weigh my options 1st sha. thanks so much |
