utcheylee: Good day pple, please I want to know my chances of getting visa to usa for child birth, am 7months already is my first time of travelling out side Nigeria, can the embassy allow just my statement of account without my hubbys and also can a distance relation sponsor for the trip (eg) using my cousin statement of account and mine to go for interview. please help thank you. . Hello.in my opinion you and your hubby must be able to foot the bill o. Don't give them reason to bounce you. You using a cousin when you are not a single mother might be seen as someone who would go for Medicaid. My Thots sha |

Tvegas: Thanks. Except the rules have changed you dont need a SSN to open an account. Go there with your international passport and explain you are not a permanent resident of the USA,they know what to do. The debit and credit cards will be issued within a week. They will place a limit of $300 on your credit card which you can review later. I hardly use the Credit card because of their charges though, the debit card is sufficient. biko how much did you use to open the account cos the last time hubby went to BOA, they told him about 1000 to 1500 usd but some people said some banks ask for less. Pls how much did u use to open |

nefertitiram: My people, Have your heard, obama has announced the new immigration reform that allows parents of children born in US, lived in the US for 5yrs etc to remain n US and get work permits. I am thinking, I hope this will not affect the chances of getting visas for preggies wanting to go and give birth in US because automatically, they will assume you want to beat theo! I don't think it really changes anything for now cow it majorly applies to those who have been in the system for more than 5 years. Once you have enough evidence to show u are coming back, there should not be any issues |

Shawbabe: Questions for the experienced mothers, pls I feel a numb ache on my right joint connecting to my Vee. I had a scan today and they see baby's head below my belly button. And that everything looks ok including placenta. Could it be the pressure from baby's head aching me? Has anyone experienced this b4? hello dear. I feel the ache in my two thighs o. Doc said I should not worry about it, that it's probably the uterus is directly on a vein or muscle I don't remember which. How old is your pregnancy |

Mrsfad2014: @Mamatobena, I would advise you walk into their office at the airport 72hours before your departure and they will book your seat till you last destination. The hours is long and you will definitely need a better seat. I also noticed that the set of people that boarded from London are very tall with long legs so they actually pay extra to get those seats. thanks so much. I will keep that in mind and do that. |

Mrsfad2014: Hi everyone, am reporting live from Dallas. I boarded BA enroute London to Dallas. Before travelling I went to BA office in the airport to book for a comfortable seat which I got. We landed in London on time, waited for 5 hours and then boarded plan to Dallas. Whao 10 hours non stop, it wasn't funny at all. Although the hostess are very nice, am the only preggy and the only black in the plane. We landed in Dallasadded some perfume and change my topOff I head towards the office at the POE Officer: Hi, are you here on business or holiday Me: No, am here to have my baby Officer: Move back a little, let me see you well Me: Smile Officer: Who will pay to your medicals Me: Myself. I have $9,500 + £200 +N2,500 Officer: Do you have document? Me: I almost ask, is it letter from embassy or doctors correspondence or letter of consent from hubby or what document. ( which one be over sabi sef) I just brought out correspondence with Dr Fagbohun and gave to him Officer: Ok, place your four fingers here And he stamped me in for 6 months. On my way out, I lady stopped melater ask if I have food items and I told her that I have golden morn and Honeywell wheat meal. She said am free to go and wish me safe delivery. I give God all the glory . I am happy for you. Wish you safe delivery. I will be travelling in feb with BA and I was hearing all manner of things about them but with ur experience, seems BA is okay. Hopefully I get a comfortable seat too. I will be going to Los Angeles though and I think the journey is longer. It is well |

Hmmmn this searching of bag thing was done to me when I was in the US in June. They actually stole a pair of white shoes we bought for my brother in law. I was so upset cos the shoe cost well well. We tried to make a report but if you see the long process they gave us to follow, we had to just abandon the whole thing. Me I don tell hubby o, that next time we travel, na to separate all our shoes o. 1 leg in different bags. i cant shout. Any other important thing na hand luggage o. So please be careful when you pack o. Oyinbo get thieves too |

@vendetta2, hmmmn personally, I do not advise that u travel all the way from Nigeria to go and use a birthing centre. Note that in case of any complications , you will still be taken to the hospital which will now be an emergency hence more costs than you would have incurred normally. As for community hospitals, just check for reviews of the hospital and be sure the hospital is averagely okay. We won't have complications in Jesus name but let's not compromise our health in the name of cheaper options. This is my opinion though |

N aye88: Hello all, so I told a friend who is travelling this month to have her baby to write a letter to the embassy. She has a b1/b2 visa which she used early this year to travel. Told her to write a letter as advised by this tread that she intends to use the visa for childbirth. According to her, she said she sent a mail to the Abuja email address stating " I have a valid b1/b2 us visa which I used earlier this year. I'm newly married now and intend to have my baby in the us. Do I apply for a nothe r visa or can I used the same one for childbirth purpose". She told me she sent that and they replied that she should send her passport no. Now she is scared ooooo. I told her to wait while I find out from the gurus here. Note she wasn't even married or pregnant when she got the visa . I am not comfortable with the passport number they are asking for o. Let her write to Lagos embassy biko. I wrote to lAgos embassy and they didn't ask for my passport number |
