nakosaberks: Good day everyone, I'm really glad to be a member of this forum. I have been following this particular thread for sometime now. In fact, the information I gathered from here enabled me to apply for my visa and it was out within 6 days in Lagos and I will be travelling by December.
However, I will like gurus in the house to clarify me on the following cuz this will be my first time of travelling out.
In my visa application I stated I will be attending a conference between 19th November to 30th December and i believe my visa was granted on that basis cuz it came out quick but for some reasons I will no longer attend the conference but would want to utilize the visa by second week of December.
Now my questions are: hope the purpose of my visit will not affect me at the port of entry since I will be travelling on a different date? I mean is there a way the immigration officers at the port of entry detect this and refuse one entry?
Again, hope I can use the visa any time for visiting aside the time and reason stated on my application.
Answers needed asap
Cc: justwise, staggerlee, femiaction, et al. Were you given multiple entry. Check the visa stipulations. If it says single entry then you can only go once. I do not think anyone would disturb you for not attending the conference again but then make sure you have the necessary documentation at POE |

I think the time one intends to travel has something to do with when they respond cos I seem to know more people whose visas came out within one week of intended travel. What I don't get is if they check your application and say "oh it's still in 4 weeks" and then dump it to check for another whose date is close. Smh |

Dare834: Dear All,
I would like to travel to South Africa for holiday with my wife in December, one of the requirements I saw was a confirmed flight ticket and a booked hotel.
I wouldn't like to pay for this and get my visa rejected, please advise on what I can do in order to get the visa. for the airline, I used a travel agent attached to my office so I didn't pay, for hotel, just use a hotel that you can cancel without being penalized just in case the visa is denied. You would still need a card though but at least u won't be charged except u don't cancel by the day stipulated. Read the terms well |

Hello all, pls I would like to find out something. My driver went to drop someone at the airport and got a call to pick up another person in the same airport. That was how the airport taxi Union nabbed him o. We had to pay 50k to get the car out. We reported to UBer and we are yet to hear anything. Does this mean Uber cannot pick up people at the airport and if yes then should drivers receive requests from the airport cos cancelling would be an issue again. Pls any insights |

Sweetuzy01: I didn't stay around Lynwood but I was also informed it's a gangster area. Mr. Fred into estate told me he would never get the place for anyone even if the person requests. It's black dominated and not safe. There is a park behind St. Francis and I observed while there with my daughter that loads of black stay in that area.
U can get somewhere else or stay there and be safe and careful. {quote author=Zaidi post=47345640]Dear house, i'm new here wrt posting other than a few questions that have gone unanswered . I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has kept this thread going. I have been reading for a while now and have learnt alot. God bless you!
I decided to give birth at St Francis in Lynwood but when we shared this with a friend, he warned us that this is gang territory and not safe and that we should stay away from there. I would like to ask anyone familiar with the area to shed some light on this especially the mummies who have given birth there. Pls Sweetuzy01, OMary83, MamaTobenna, Bisoye82 and sppecie what was your experience like? Did you stay near the hospital? Thanks I am just seeing this. I hardly come to the page nowadays. I didn't stay in Lynwood so I cannot say anything about its safety. However, the hospital is really nice and I enjoyed my stay there. I went to the hospital a couple of times and I didn't witness any safety issues. |

SlowlybtSurely: If WES does not recognise your ICAN certificate, how did you claim points for it? What was the summary on the WES report?
Did you choose the "Two or more certificates" option?
Any certificate not recognised by the assessing body will not be recognised by CIC too. Adding it does affect your application positively or negatively. I chose the two or more certificates option. |

So what I am asking is, can I still fill in ICAN and as part of my EDUCation since I have it anyway cos if I don't select ICAN , my points are lower |

My ielts was very okay. Had an overall score of 8. I have to be the principal cos of hubby's age. I am just not clear if there will be penalty if I put in my ICAN cert. The province nomination seems like a very tall order, though we are looking out for that as well |

Hello everyone, I am new to this particular thread. It has been really enlightening reading through. There is a question I need answer to though. We(hubby and I) have submitted our entry into the pool but I need some clarification. I have a BSC and I have ICAN. WES does not recognize ICAN but if I do not put the ICAN in our entry, I will fall below 450. Since we put in our code from WES anyways, would we still be penalized if we add the ICAN qualification. I don't know if my question is clear enough |

My people, I say make I waka pass una. Baby is two months today and we have adjusted to Naija hot weather. For those considering shipping cribs, I think it's better to just buy something small from naija. Some babies don't eventually use these cribs much o. I am sure experienced mums can testify to this. Before deciding to ship anything pls be sure it's worth the effort and money. My two cents |

Compression socks are not for every one. I bought one but did not use it coz my doctor said I didn't need to because I never had swollen feet thru my preg and had no history of high bp. He strongly recommended drinking gallons of water and walking around every hour as much as possible which helped a lot. So pls consult ur doc if u are sure he knows his salt and then mKe up your mind on whether to wear or not. |
