Foreign AffairsIsrael Destroyed Universities And Schools In Gaza And Targeted Dozens Of Academi by MAMMAN777(op): 5:02pm On Jan 22, 2024
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirms the deliberate and systematic destruction of universities and schools in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation, in addition to the killing of academics, and the Ministry of Endowments in Gaza counts 1,000 mosques destroyed by the occupation in the Strip.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor announced in a statement today, Sunday, that it had documented the killing of 94 Palestinian university professors by the Israeli occupation “army,” along with hundreds of teachers and thousands of students, as part of the comprehensive crime of genocide that it has been waging on the Gaza Strip since October 7. 2023.

The Observatory explained that the Israeli “army” carried out deliberate and specific attacks, among thousands of air strikes, against academic, scientific and intellectual figures in the Gaza Strip, where dozens of them were killed in direct raids that targeted their homes without warning, along with members of their families or other families who were displaced to them or They migrated to it.

The Observatory stated in its statement that “preliminary data on the targeting operations indicate that there is no justification or clear goal behind targeting these academics.”

He pointed out that the list that he documented includes 17 individuals who hold professor degrees, 59 who hold doctoral degrees, and 18 who hold master’s degrees, stressing that this number is not final, and pointing out that there are estimates that confirm the presence of other numbers of targeted academics, as well as those who hold graduate degrees, as no They are counted as a result of documentation difficulties resulting from the inability to move, the interruption of communications and the Internet, and the presence of thousands of missing persons who have not yet been counted.

He also pointed out that the academics targeted by Israeli killing are distributed across various knowledge sciences, and the majority of them represent the foundations of academic work in the universities of the Gaza Strip.

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory said that what enhances the possibility of Israel deliberately targeting all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip is the systematic and widespread destruction carried out by the Israeli occupation forces of cultural objects, including historical ones, adding that over the days of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the occupation directly destroyed all Universities there.

The destruction of universities, according to the observatory’s documentation, came in stages. The first stage was bombing operations that targeted buildings at the Islamic and Al-Azhar universities. Then the matter extended to the rest of the universities, leading to some of them being blown up and completely blown up after they were converted into military barracks, as happened in Al-Isra University, south of Gaza City, which the Israeli media published a video clip a few days ago documenting its bombing by army forces, which came 70 days after it was transformed into a military barracks and a temporary detention center.

The Observatory stated that initial estimates also indicate that hundreds of university students were killed as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

He pointed out that destroying universities and killing academics and students will make it more difficult to resume university and academic life after the attack stops, as it may take years for universities to be able to resume studies in a completely destroyed environment.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Education, about 4,327 students were killed and 7,819 others were injured, while 231 teachers and administrators were killed, and 756 were injured with various injuries.

According to the Observatory, there are 281 government schools and 65 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) that were completely or partially destroyed in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli targeting of schools affected 90% of government school buildings, which were subjected to direct and indirect damage. In addition, about 29% of school buildings remain inoperable as a result of being completely demolished or severely damaged, while 133 government schools are used as shelter centers in the Gaza Strip.

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory stressed in the statement that what Israel is pursuing through its systematic military attack of widespread and deliberate destruction of cultural and historical properties, such as universities, schools, libraries, and archives, comes within the framework of Israel’s public policies of making the Gaza Strip an uninhabitable place, thus creating A coercive environment that lacks the minimum necessities of life and services, which may ultimately push its residents to emigrate.

In conclusion, the Observatory’s statement stated that launching military attacks against civilian objects, especially those that enjoy special protection, such as cultural and historical objects, not only constitutes a grave violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and a war crime in accordance with the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, but also comes within the framework of The crime of genocide committed by "Israel" against the residents of the Gaza Strip, through which it aims to destroy the Palestinians physically and spiritually.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory revealed in a statement that “Israel” has recently moved to the stage of emptying Gaza City of its residents forcefully and by force of arms, indicating that the Israeli behavior comes within an escalation of the crime of forced displacement, in addition to the escalation of the policy of starvation and the prevention of humanitarian supplies to the residents of the Gaza City areas. And in the northern Gaza Strip, it uses this as a weapon to achieve forced displacement and force civilians to move in an attempt to avoid death by bombing or starvation.

It should be noted that, in addition to the extensive destruction of schools and universities in Gaza reviewed by the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory, the occupation also destroyed about a thousand mosques, including ancient mosques dating back hundreds of years. Also, the Israeli media itself reported on December 10, 2023, that it had destroyed 192 mosques in the Gaza Strip under the pretext of the presence of tunnels underneath them.

In this context, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Gaza announced today, Sunday, that the Israeli “army” destroyed a thousand mosques and dozens of cemeteries in the Strip, and assassinated more than a hundred preachers, during its ongoing war since October 7, 2023.

The ministry said, in a statement: “The number of mosques that were completely or partially destroyed reached 1,000 out of 1,200 mosques, including ancient mosques, and they need reconstruction at a cost of approximately 500 million dollars.”

She added in the statement that “the Zionist machine of treachery assassinated more than a hundred preachers, including scholars, preachers, preachers, imams, muezzins, and memorizers,” in addition to its continued destruction of dozens of cemeteries and exhuming graves whose sanctity they violated and whose bodies they stole, in clear defiance of international constitutions and human rights, according to the statement.

The Israeli occupation aircraft launched raids on the historic Al-Omari Mosque in the Old City of Gaza City, which led to the destruction of large parts of it. It was founded more than 1,400 years ago and is considered one of the largest and most ancient mosques in Gaza, and the third largest mosque in occupied Palestine after the Al-Aqsa and Ahmed Pasha Mosques. Al-Jazzar in Acre, and it is equivalent in size to the Mahmoudiya Mosque in Jaffa.

The occupation "army" also indiscriminately targeted Christian churches, committing a massacre on October 20, when it bombed the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Porphyrios, where Christian and Muslim families in the Gaza Strip took refuge.

A preliminary report issued by the non-governmental organization Heritage for Peace had previously revealed that 104 sites had been damaged or completely destroyed due to Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip. The data includes historical religious sites, homes, museums and archaeological sites.

Foreign AffairsIsrael Has Failed To Achieve All Of Its Objectives In Gaza – NYT by MAMMAN777(op): 9:36am On Jan 21, 2024
https://www.palestinechronicle.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/NYT_Failure_PC.png
According to the New York Times, Israel's failure is worse than expected. (Image: Palestine Chronicle)

The Israeli military was quick to deny claims made by the New York Times on Saturday, stating, based on Israel’s own assessment, that Israel’s failure in Gaza is, essentially, worse than expected.

The Israeli military’s high command has raised doubts about the feasibility of Israeli objectives in Gaza, in view of “Israel’s limited progress in dismantling Hamas”, the New York Times reported on Saturday.

“Israel has established control over a smaller part of Gaza at this point in the war than it originally envisaged in battle plans from the start of the invasion, which were reviewed by The New York Times,” the report stated.

Prisoners vs War Dilemma

The slow pace of the operations has reportedly “led some (Israeli) commanders to privately express their frustrations over the civilian government’s strategy for Gaza”.

According to the report, many in the Israeli army are now mulling the possibility of prioritizing the release of Israeli captives held in Gaza by the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas to the lofty goal of dismantling the Palestinian Resistance.

“The dual objectives of freeing the hostages and destroying Hamas are now mutually incompatible,” according to interviews with four “senior military leaders”, who spoke to NYT on the condition of anonymity.

These views were publicly expressed by Gadi Eisenkot, former Israeli army chief of staff and member of the war cabinet, who said in an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 that the release of the captives cannot be achieved through military operations.

“For me, there’s no dilemma. The mission is to rescue civilians, ahead of killing an enemy,” Eisenkot said.

“According to three of the commanders interviewed by The Times, the diplomatic route would be the swiftest way of returning the Israelis,” NYT reported. It added that Hamas infrastructure “was more sophisticated than Israeli intelligence officers previously assessed.”

Impossible Tunnels

The report further details the failure of the Israeli operations on the ground in Gaza.

One of the lofty goals set by the Israeli army was the complete destruction of the tunnel network. However, it seems that it did not succeed in doing so.

“Locating and excavating each tunnel is time-consuming and dangerous. Many are rigged with booby traps, according to the Israeli military.”

No Military Control

Despite triumphant statements regarding Israel’s military control of large swathes of the besieged territory, facts on the ground seem to point to a different reality.

“On the eve of Israel’s invasion,” the report says, “the military assessed that it would establish ‘operational control’ over Gaza City, Khan Younis and Rafah (…) by late December”.

“But by mid-January, Israel had yet to begin its advance into Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city, and still had not forced Hamas from every part of Khan Younis, another major city in the south,” it added.

Moreover, Israel withdrew from the northern Gaza “at the peak of the campaign in December,” which created “a power vacuum in the north, (thus) allowing Hamas fighters and civilian officials to try to reassert their authority there”.

Indeed, the Resistance has consistently thrown rockets toward the Israeli settlements surrounding Gaza, from that same area, proving that its military capabilities are largely intact and still fully functional.

NYT had a similar assessment, reporting on Tuesday’s firing by Hamas fighters of a barrage of about 25 rockets into Israel, “angering Israelis who had hoped that after months of war that Hamas’s rocket launching abilities had been destroyed”.

Hamas Leaders Alive

Another Israeli failure is that Israel did not succeed in eliminating Hamas’ leadership in Gaza.

“Hamas’s top leaders in Gaza – including (Yahya) Sinwar, Mohammad Deif and Marwan Issa – remain at large,” the report admitted.

Despite all of this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to claim that Israel’s goals, whatever they are, can only be achieved through war.

“Halting the war before the goals are achieved will broadcast a message of weakness,” he said in his speech on Thursday.

In a statement published on Saturday afternoon, the Israeli army said that the comments cited in the NYT report were “not known” to the military and “do not reflect the IDF’s position.”

Foreign AffairsGlobal Support For Israel Plummets Amid Gaza War, New Data Reveals by MAMMAN777(op): 10:28am On Jan 20, 2024
Washington DC (Quds News Network) – New data provided obtained by the US-based TIME magazine indicates a significant decline in global support for Israel following the ongoing war on Gaza.

The net favorability, calculated by subtracting the percentage of negative views from positive views, plummeted by an average of 18.5 percentage points worldwide between September and December, with 42 out of 43 countries experiencing a decrease, said the magazine, quoting data obtained from the Morning Consult, a business intelligence company.

China, South Africa, Brazil, and several Latin American nations transitioned from positive to negative perceptions of Israel. Even wealthy countries with existing negative views, such as Japan, South Korea, and the U.K., witnessed steep declines. Japan’s net favorability dropped from -39.9 to -62.0, South Korea from -5.5 to -47.8, and the U.K. from -17.1 to -29.8.

Morning Consult’s Deputy Head of Political Intelligence, Sonnet Frisbie, remarks on the challenging international landscape for Israel, emphasizing the data’s reflection of global sentiments. “The data shows just how tough of a road Israel has right now in the international community.”

Despite this global trend, the United States stands as the sole affluent nation with sustained net positive views of Israel. The drop in net favorability was relatively modest, decreasing only by 2.2 percentage points from September to December.

However, the data also highlights a cost to Washington’s support for Israel, especially in Arab nations. In Egypt, the U.S. witnessed a shift from a positive favorability of 41.1 to a negative favorability of -14.9 during the same period. A similar trend occurred in Saudi Arabia, where the U.S. saw a decline from a positive favorability of 12.2 to -10.5.

Sonnet Frisbie anticipates challenges for Saudi Arabia in continuing cooperation with Israel and pursuing a planned normalization deal facilitated by the U.S., emphasizing the impact of shifting public opinion on diplomatic initiatives in the region.

“A lot of cooperation between Gulf leaders and Israel has been done with Gulf leaders carefully messaging to their domestic populations and tiptoeing around public opinion. I think this gives this a lot less space to do that,” Frisbie says.

Foreign AffairsGaza "Is The Monster Too Hurt Or Too Afraid" by MAMMAN777(op): 9:25am On Jan 20, 2024
One hundred days and more after the “Al-Aqsa Flood” and then the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, there are two important questions: Did we hurt the monster more than we should have, or was it more afraid than it should be embarassed?

https://alpha-ar-media.almayadeen.net/media/image/2024/1/19/f0bda7bb-9aaa-4ebf-988b-9b90aaa24be4.png

Yes and no.

These two questions can be answered at the same time, but first there must be a quick and decisive discussion on an important issue related to the legitimacy of resistance in the land of Palestine. There is no dispute that it is an established and original legitimacy, especially for a people under occupation, although the idea of “a reality under occupation” must be confirmed. Rather, clarifying it, Palestinian, Arab and international.

Every inch of Palestine occupied since 1948 is “under occupation,” whether it is under “total or partial Palestinian control” in the name of the Oslo Accords, or under “Israeli control,” in all its ways. The significance of this assertion is that Gaza was never outside the occupation’s control, and until the Israeli “army” left the Strip in 2005, it remained defined as an “occupied territory,” according to international law.

Does this mean that the sector has not been liberalized? Yes, but. The problem is that the occupation tools, with the development of technologies and almost absolute control over the land, sea and air borders, gave “Israel” the advantage of “remote occupation”, so it reoccupied the Gaza Strip “through twisted and sometimes even creative or devilish methods” after leaving it, and “at lower costs.” .

Instead of the occupation “army”, with its soldiers, vehicles and money, paying the bill for defending the settlers (they also paid part of the price), it was decided that the cost of remaining in Gaza was higher than the feasibility, so the withdrawal took place, after which the prelude that had been planned since 1989 for the clash between “Hamas” and “Fatah” (Islamic forces competing with secular forces), and this raises doubt about the reasons for this clash occurring so quickly a year and a half after the Israeli withdrawal.

Why this discussion, which seems late on the surface, when Gaza is now in the wrong place? no never. This debate is at the heart of what is happening now, but from a “macro” view of events, not a “micro” view.

So, if we conclude, in a preliminary but not final conclusion, that the occupation recycled the occupation of the Gaza Strip and did not just besiege it, and we escaped from falling into the “siege trap”, we can:

· First: Understanding the legitimacy of the “Al-Aqsa Flood,” regardless of the detailed causes and interim results.

Second: Understanding the nature and magnitude of the Israeli attack and the existence of prior plans, general and detailed, and even old, against the Gaza Strip and its people.

· Third: The depth of the “Gaza crisis” within the Israeli conscience, especially the right-wing pole that is pulling all of “Israel” towards it (there is no point in using the word “extremist”, as Benjamin Netanyahu is more right-wing at heart than Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, but he is a statesman above all else). something).

· Fourth: Understanding the economic aspects of the conflict (gas fields, for example), demographic (the need to reduce the number of Palestinians), and environmental (water and pollution problems), all of which are no less important than the political, military, and security aspects.

· Fifth: The end of the stage of “half-measures” or “temporary solutions,” and moving toward “decision,” even if over a period of years, even at the expense of losing well-being.

In a first conclusion, the resistance, specifically the leadership of Gaza, understood that the reality of the Gaza Strip 18 years after its liberation, 17 years after its siege, and 16 years after its isolation from the West Bank and Jerusalem (until 2021) did not produce on the general level anything but a path that the Israelis invested in, both good and bad, to bite off more. From the land, to strangle the Palestinian person and apply the worst theories of modern and post-modern colonialism to him, and not lastly, an attempt to kill the fighting spirit and nullify the usefulness of resistance.

Therefore, there had to be a “flood” that would move everything from its place.

Even if its interim repercussions are negative, a little calm that is impossible or difficult these days, and from farsightedness, reveals an opportunity to change everything soon. But this description is not enough to answer many questions now being asked by the Palestinians and those who care about this issue and see it as their own, especially since the calculation of cost and feasibility does not currently favor the Palestinians.

Yes, there are valid questions for many, not only about the feasibility, but also the timing, method, and circumstances, and studying the Israeli and even American and Western reaction, leading to the performance of the resistance forces in the region, and the completion of the occupation, beyond the hundredth day, massacres, killing, and aggression in various ways. However, we will not enter into this discussion for a simple reason: the battle is not over yet, and the war has not revealed all its secrets.

Guerrilla warfare...or?

We will now answer in detail the first part of the question: Did we hurt the monster more than we should? There is no doubt that the first rule in guerrilla warfare requires that the fighter not intend to do anything that would put the monster out of its control, but the Palestinian situation, which has been going on for 75 years and bears witness to the existence of the “last occupation” in the human world, is subject to many exceptions.

The ongoing war has revealed, and continues to do so, that the problem is not with “Israel” exclusively, but rather with the international system that is unique in ruling the world. Otherwise, if the matter had depended on it alone, the “October 7” model would have been sufficient as an answer. Hence, the exception emerges: there must be a major event, even a very major one, to upset all equations, reveal the masks, and mix the battle cards and the plans of the enemy and even friendly parties. Otherwise, we will remain in a circle of stagnation or waiting for an event that is more fateful than human (such as the recent earthquake that the region witnessed). ).

However, many do not find the above a sufficient or clear justification for a battle of this size, especially with results and repercussions comparable to the “Nakba of 1948” on the Gazans, or even more. They also invoke an important discussion about the martyrdom operations during the era of the Second Intifada and the result of the “Defensive Wall” (2002), which was a turning point in the course of life in the occupied West Bank, including the course of resistance and the national situation as a whole.

There is no doubt that the factional rivalry in that intifada, and the lack of coordination between the military arms, led to a “major harm” to the occupation, as a result of a series of successive and intense martyrdom operations, which threw the occupation out of its phase and led it, through Ariel Sharon, to invade the entire West Bank. The overthrow of its regime (the killing of Yasser Arafat), and an almost complete end to armed and even popular resistance, made the second intifada shorter than the first, and perhaps less effective.

Despite this, and contrary to the trend, Jamil Al-Amouri and his companions came in 2021 to rewrite history amid great momentum for the “Freedom Tunnel” operation, and for the West Bank to date to enter the path of armed resistance again, although there are those who argue that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” led, in a way Or another, to stop long-term investment in the work of the West Bank, as opposed to those who believe that the flood would not have succeeded without what the fighters of the resistance brigades did during the past three years, and that “October 7” is a successful investment of what came before, even though it could be postponed a little.

These two points of view may have evidence and protests that deserve discussion and consideration, but the only constant is that the Palestinian people did the most they could do in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” for 75 years, and that they proved that they did not betray or sell land, and that the problem of the occupation of Palestine was It remains an Arab-Islamic problem, then an international one, before it is a Palestinian one (it is noteworthy that among two hundred countries in the world, there are only two or three countries that support the right of the Palestinians to liberate their country by military force, or take the initiative to supply them with weapons).

Those who neglected Palestine, in 1920, then 1947, 1948, then 1967, and not finally 2017, are the same ones who still do not want to liberate it, because this will create major problems for them, starting with the origin of their continuation on the thrones. Therefore, neither the rules of guerrilla warfare nor the theories of Sun Tzu or Von Nguyen Giap are useful in the complex Palestinian situation. Here, it is necessary to mention an important gesture made by the founder of the People's Republic of China.

It is said that in 1969 (or 1970) a Palestinian delegation went to Mao Zedong to complain about the “catastrophe” of 1967, and to ask him about solutions after he provided an eloquent explanation of the situation, regionally and globally. The members of the delegation expected long, detailed answers and war plans, but they received several notes, including two strange notes (some of which were handwritten by the martyr Salah Khalaf), as well as another practical role in arming and training.

Mao asked them about the number of Arabs at that time, and they said that it was between 200 and 250 million. I elaborate a little and comment on the meaning that when the Arabs are willing to lose five million in the war, Palestine can be liberated (where are we now, Arabs, with this description?). As for the Vietnamese remark, it was more scathing, talking about the level of luxury experienced by the leaders of some Palestinian factions, and that its continuation does not indicate the possibility of liberation, and history is still present.

So, to recap, yes, in all honesty, we hurt the beast too hard, but one day it had to happen. No matter how late this day is, or whether circumstances turn for better or worse, it was bound to happen, and here it has come. We must confront our fate, from which Oslo was a hideous deviation.

It can even be said - although this is somewhat extreme - that the Palestinian should have remained between the tent and the diaspora, and not build towers, governmental institutions, or a quasi-state, before liberating his land.

"Israel" which "we do not know"

We come to the second part: Was the enemy more afraid than he should? The answer here may seem easier, but it also carries complications no less than the Palestinian situation, and the Arab and Islamic situations are also suspicious of it. The most important observation in this context is that the “Curse of the Eighty” dominated the Israeli climate, politically, medially, and even intellectually, before the “Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Perhaps, if the flood had been delayed by a year or two, it would have been almost inevitable that Israel would go into a civil war, or at least a major societal conflict, which would affect all aspects of life. The flood at the current stage may be “uniting and armying” the Israelis under the title of existential danger and in front of interim goals, but it is not guaranteed that this will continue for a long time, and there is not even any reason to deny that “October 7” will not cause a recurrence of the rift under other titles, and in higher proportions. .

But what was surprising and contrary to some calculations in the region are two matters worthy of study, and to be precise: re-studying, they are: Were the Israelis ever a luxury society only? Has the era of generals ended, just as the era of kings has ended?

In the first question, it seemed, during this war in particular, that this society was an army people and did not resemble any other people, and it recruited as reserve and non-reserve soldiers directly and forcefully behind its army.

It seemed to many that at some point it would all become military (many were surprised, out of good faith or ignorance, that the Israelis were fighting!). It is true that complaints about the lifestyle during the war began from the first day, but they are still lower than the level they were in past wars. What happened was greater than all of the above, and there are other reasons.

In the second question, it appeared that the era of kings ended with Ariel Sharon, although Benjamin Netanyahu - for academic honesty - may be reclassified as the “last king” of the “Israel” that we see. But whatever the disagreement over the role and status of the two, this did not mean that the era The generals ended up in Israel. The evidence is what the governance mechanisms became after “October 7”. Indeed, a quick look at the structure of the “war cabinet” is sufficient for the answer.

There is something remarkable in this context, which is the issue of Israeli prisoners in Gaza. There was a key word by Ehud Barak, when he said at the beginning of the war that the failure to return prisoners, specifically “civilians”, was a failure of “the state” and “the idea of the state.” Barak did not say that it was a failure of the army or the government, but rather he confronted the two with the reality of their failure in the mission entrusted to them: “protecting the people of Israel,” and for this there is a price that has not yet been paid.

so what? Turning to the second part of the question on the topic, we are still faced with the question of the war (its continuation, size, type...), and this makes it difficult for us to search for answers about what comes after the war, as it has not ended, and no one guarantees that “Israel” will survive after it. However, the latter was and is still going too far to the right in a way that ends American (and even Arab) ambitions and dreams for a formula for ending the conflict. If an answer is necessary, Washington must provide it, not Tel Aviv.

In a third conclusion, fear leads to mistakes, and doubled fear accumulates mistakes. Whoever observes Israeli behavior away from any “interim achievements” will see with a keen eye that the occupation is accumulating burdens on itself that are more dangerous than the burdens of 1948, and that the price for them will be from the fate and lifespan of its “state,” and even from the future of Jews globally.

A redemptive battle

Amidst this crowding of questions, we must not lose sight of a set of facts that must be remembered:

· The resistance in Gaza was largely certain that the occupation was preparing a military operation against the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and abroad simultaneously, and would begin a massive assassination campaign that could affect dozens of effective leaders and cadres, and that this was postponed due to the importance of achieving normalization with Saudi Arabia first. The secret cabinet meetings during 2023 were a clear indication of preparation for a multi-front war.

· The vision of the “Al-Qassam” leadership is that the 2021 battle is a “rehearsal,” or a mini-war, for the battle that the brigades will fight within the “liberation battle,” and therefore it has worked on major preparations for a different battle, especially since the Israelis have worked over two years to empty the “Saif Al-Quds” of its results. As much as possible.

· The Gaza Strip was experiencing political stagnation and great economic pressure aimed at severely stifling the popular incubator of the resistance, and embarrassing the latter at more than one point, especially in 5/2022. Then, the promotion of the migration of young people from Gaza began in parallel with the simultaneous Qatari financial reduction and Egyptian pressure.

· The complexity of the scene in the West Bank and the increasing danger to the situation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to the Israeli refusal to exchange prisoners in exchange for the resistance’s desire to end the occupation prisons file, especially after “harsh letters” from the prisons to the leaders of the resistance (sent by prisoners of leaders in late 2022 due to the delay in the exchange process). ).

· Mixing the cards of the region heading towards normalization, in their entirety, and the resistance’s need to abort “canned solutions” to the Palestinian issue, which is summed up in reviving the “deal of the century” in another way.

From the above, there are many defenses, but perhaps one day it will be said that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” - just like the “True Promise” operation in 7/2006 - protected us - the Palestinians and the resistance forces - from a greater evil and a war/sudden strikes against our enemy that contained elements of surprise, momentum, and progress. ..and perhaps “Victory”!

Perhaps, too, someone will come out with all courage and honesty and say, as Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah did after the Second Lebanon War, which was undoubtedly a real victory by material and spiritual standards, that if he had known with certainty that what happened would happen, he would not have done what he did. But this will not negate the right of resistance, specifically the Palestinians, in any manner or timing, and it may not mean that the results are necessarily negative, as the war has not ended, or even begun yet!

Since October 7, 2023, and as of January 18, 2024, a total of 357 Palestinians have been killed, including 90 children, in the occupied West Bank

The latest report by the UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordination Office (OCHA) indicates that 2023 marked “the highest number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem” since the UN began recording casualties in 2005.

Since October 7, 2023, and as of January 18, 2024, a total of 357 Palestinians have been killed, including 90 children, in the occupied West Bank, according to the Situation Report, dated January 19.

Of the fatalities in the West Bank, 348 were killed by Israeli forces, eight by illegal Jewish settlers, and one by either Israeli forces or settlers. So far in 2024 (as of January 18), 48 Palestinians, including nine children, have been killed.

The total number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, during 2023 is 507, the report states.

In addition, a total of 4,252 Palestinians, including 645 children, have been injured in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, between October 7 and January 18, 2024. Some 33 percent of those injuries have been caused by live ammunition, compared with 9 percent in the first nine months of 2023.

On Friday, Israeli forces killed another Palestinian in the occupied West Bank, taking the death toll in a nearly two-day-long military raid in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm to eight.

Increasing Settler Violence

The OCHA recorded 433 Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians, resulting in Palestinian casualties (42 incidents), damage to Palestinian-owned property (338 incidents), or both casualties and damage to property (53 incidents), between October 7 and January 18, 2024.

“This reflects a daily average of four incidents since 7 October 2023 until 17 January 2024,” the report states.

In 2023, a total of 1,229 incidents involving illegal Jewish settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem (with or without Israeli forces), resulted in Palestinian casualties, property damage, or both. Some 913 of these incidents resulted in damage, 163 resulted in casualties and 153 resulted in both.

“This is the highest number of settler attacks against Palestinians in any given year since OCHA started recording incidents involving settlers in 2006,” the report adds.

Displacement due to Home Demolitions

The report also indicates figures relating to the amount of Palestinians displaced for various reasons, including settler violence and demolition of homes.

Since October 7 and as of 18 January 2024, at least 198 Palestinian households comprising 1,208 people, including 586 children, have been displaced amid settler violence and access restrictions

The displaced households are from at least 15 herding/Bedouin communities, the report states.

During the same period, 602 Palestinians, including 263 children, have been displaced, following the destruction of 94 homes during other operations carried out by Israeli forces across the West Bank.

About 94 percent of the displacement was reported in the refugee camps of Jenin, and in Nur Shams and Tulkarm, both in Tulkarm.

This represents 65 percent of all displacement reported due to the destruction of homes during Israeli military operations since January 2023 (affecting 908 people).

Regarding the terrorist attack in Kerman, the Iranian Ministry of Security announced the killing of two terrorists in an armed clash, noting the arrest of a number of terrorist elements linked to this incident.

Among the detainees: Muhammad Imran Tanveer, one of the leaders of ISIS Khorasan, who specializes in the field of manufacturing explosives, and Muhammad Adel Arif, called “Adel Panjshiri”, who is one of the senior terrorists involved in the terrorist attack in the city of Kerman.

The Iranian Ministry of Security published a photo of the so-called “Adel Panjshiri,” confirming that he was arrested after he fled to the west of the Iranian capital, Tehran, after the operation.

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence indicated that after the Kerman terrorist operation on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, members of the Ministry of Intelligence clashed in the city of Kerman with two Takfiri terrorists who held foreign nationalities.

The statement explained that the two terrorists were killed during the clashes that took place, stressing that they were planning to attack a police station and carry out an explosion near the station.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Security revealed new details about the two suicide bombings on the road leading to the shrine of the martyr Qassem Soleimani in Kerman, on the anniversary of his martyrdom ceremony, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens.

According to her, recent investigations into this attack showed that the main planner of the operations was a person with Tajik nationality named Bazirov Buzrov, an Israeli, who carries the pseudonym Abdullah the Tajik, and is 24 years old.

She explained that the accused "entered Iran illegally on December 19 last year with a woman and a child to camouflage him across the southeastern border of Iran. After that, he moved to Kerman Province to settle there in a rented house, where he was managing and planning the operation."

She noted that the accused "collected and assembled parts of explosive materials to prepare the bombs for the operation, then left the country two days before the attack."
Foreign AffairsIsrael Bought A System With The Aim Of Influencing The Networks & Was Terrified by MAMMAN777(op): 10:37am On Jan 17, 2024
It seems that "Israel" discovered the Internet on October 7 of last year, the day of the "Al-Aqsa Flood." Today, there is an urgent need to “influence international public opinion, in order to enable the Israeli army to achieve its war goals,” according to Haaretz.

https://alpha-ar-media.almayadeen.net/media/image/2024/1/16/9f21e501-6aa6-420b-bf16-5a475210c5d9.jpg

The newspaper "Haaretz" revealed that "Israel", according to five informed sources, purchased a technological system for collective influence, and this system is capable, among other things, of producing content adapted to online awareness campaigns, as part of a broader attempt to deal with what it described. Intelligence and technological sources described the "failure of the Israeli official media", which was revealed on October 7 of last year, and the dangerous credibility crisis in "Israel", which made it more difficult for the Israeli "army" to act against the Hamas movement.

According to the newspaper, this system is currently operated by a government office, according to several sources, although it is supposed to be used for psychological warfare and intelligence influence. The newspaper pointed out that the background to Israel’s acquisition of this system, according to eight sources from the world of influence, intelligence, and media in Israel, was the need to curb the anti-Israel “poison machine,” which spreads “pro-Palestinian misinformation and denial of the massacre.” “In addition to anti-Semitic content online,” she said, “especially among young people in the West.”

"Haaretz" quoted sources in "Israel" as saying that "there is an urgent need to influence international public opinion, in order to enable the Israeli army to achieve the goals of the war," despite the intense killing and harsh images from Gaza.

"Israel" is not prepared for the social networking front

It became clear in the first hours of the October 7 attack, according to Haaretz, that the Israeli security establishment was not prepared for the front of social networks and instant messaging applications, such as Telegram. Urgent intelligence needs arose that required immediate attention, and high-tech workers and technology companies were brought in to help fill the gap. Within the framework of a joint operations room, network mapping and facial recognition technologies were developed. After weeks, it became clear that there was a need for active dissemination of information.

In this context, the newspaper reported, from sources involved in the operation, that the security and military institutions, especially the intelligence services, believe that there is an “urgent Israeli need” for influence in order to respond to the Hamas movement on the battlefield of awareness. Ben Yacoub pointed out that since the outbreak of fighting, Hamas has been running a huge propaganda network that caught Israel by surprise and was not prepared for it. The movement also uses a channel on Telegram that has millions of followers as a semi-official channel to spread propaganda and information.

"Haaretz" also quoted Israeli sources as saying that those involved in the process of purchasing the influence system saw that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the so-called "National Media Service" in "Israel" do not provide appropriate solutions to the needs of the security and military institutions, and that the ability of the "Army Spokesman Unit" “Israel is limited in responding effectively to the endless stream of visual and propaganda materials disseminated by Hamas. Ben Yaqoub also quoted a group of Israeli sources as saying that “Israel” was surprised on October 7, and it was “completely unprepared.” The current Israeli psychological warfare units, which primarily target speakers of Arabic and Persian, turned out to be unrelated to the battle. The current needs and influence requirements of the Israeli security and military institutions.

Israel's position on the awareness front is dangerous

Haaretz saw that the growing doubts in the documents and arguments of the Israeli army spokesman made any official Israeli attempt to respond to Hamas’ propaganda have the opposite effect. The newspaper quoted a former Israeli intelligence source as saying that what is happening is a battle over the legitimacy of “Israel” itself to exist as “a state with an army,” adding that “in this sense, Hamas has already won.”

According to Haaretz, they realized this in the security services and “civilian” operations rooms, and it became clear to them that “Israel does not have an effective way to respond and fight on the battlefield of awareness, and that failure makes it difficult for the Israeli army to operate on the ground.” It has also become clear to the occupation how dangerous Israel's position is on the awareness front, as the scope of information disseminated by pro-Palestinian elements in the network is enormous, and Israel is facing difficulty in curbing the wave of international support for the Hamas movement. In addition, they in "Israel" believed that the psychological warfare waged by Hamas, including the publication of scenes of humiliation of Israeli soldiers, threatened the "national" strength of "Israel" and the morale of the "Israeli" army.

"Haaretz" indicated that after it became clear in "Israel" that the official Israeli media was losing the battle for global awareness, an arms race began for digital assets, in order to disseminate information and content, alongside the Israeli "army" spokesman, and to fight the mechanisms of Good publishing of Hamas online. Video clips and photos taken by Israeli soldiers in Gaza began to be leaked through unofficial information channels on Telegram, including an English-language channel that published “exclusive video clips.” Also, the Influence Section of the Operations Division of the Israeli “Army,” which is responsible for psychological warfare operations against the enemy (i.e., the resistance), began running a Hebrew-language channel in order to display the bodies of Palestinians, “so that everyone can see what we are doing to them.”

"Israel" purchased existing technologies on the market and did not take the initiative to develop its own technologies

After the need emerged in “Israel” to implement a large-scale response against Hamas’ propaganda, a “clarification media” forum was established, which included the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other ministries, technology companies, civic initiatives, Jewish organizations, and security bodies such as the Israeli “Army.” The Shin Bet and the National Security Council, and this forum was held weekly in order to coordinate goals and objectives, according to what Haaretz reported.

The newspaper added that "Israel" decided to obtain current technologies (existing in the market), instead of developing them independently, so a number of civilian tools were purchased that were developed for political and commercial campaigns, including a system for mapping the target audience, and a system capable of opening websites automatically. , producing appropriate content, a system for monitoring online trends, and additional things, in order to implement a campaign aimed at promoting the messages that “Israel” seeks to disseminate, in order to shape global public opinion, in a way that serves its goals.

In "Israel" they fear the dangers of the influence system

Several Israeli sources said, according to "Haaretz", that both within the Israeli security and military institutions, and outside them, they realized the risks of obtaining and operating this influence technology, and they were also concerned about political interference on the part of the Prime Minister's Office, which is responsible for the information system, and the bodies Others interested in obtaining the system. Israeli reports stated that an “important security body” (they did not specify what it was) was supposed to manage this circle of influence, but it refused to manage it, after expressing its concern that this circle “would also be used for internal political purposes in Israel.”

"Haaretz" added that Israeli sources indicated that it was decided that an Israeli government body would manage the system, instead of a security body, so that the first campaign is currently running online, in a foreign language, created through the system, with the aim of "fighting anti-Semitism and Zionism." According to sources involved in the process, it is still unclear which body in “Israel” will supervise the system’s activity, and what will happen to the digital assets that were purchased and created after the end of the war.

Haaretz quoted an informed source as saying that “influence has become a strategic issue,” and this “Israel” should have realized in advance, but that did not happen, neither at the political level, nor in the Israeli “army.” The source added, “There should have been coordination between everyone, but instead of one voice, “there are (now) three voices working in multiple directions,” referring to politicians (ministries), security and military institutions, and “civilian” actors (including technicians and influencers). ...And “there was chaos in the first days and weeks, and various government ministries quarreled over trust and responsibility.” An intelligence source added that “Israel” never viewed this front as a real battle, and its situation is exactly like the case of education in “Israel”: “Zero investment.” The intelligence source added to “Haaretz” that it appears as if “Israel” discovered the Internet on October 7 of last year, the day of the “Al-Aqsa Flood.”
Foreign AffairsThe US Senate Refuses To Investigate Israel's Violation Of Human Rights In Gaza by MAMMAN777(op): 8:43am On Jan 17, 2024

The US Senate voted, on Tuesday, to reject a request to investigate violations of human rights and international agreements committed publicly by “Israel” during its ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, and the White House also opposed the request.

Reuters reported that the US Senate rejected a request for an investigation submitted by Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders to freeze security aid to Israel unless the US State Department issues a report within 30 days to examine “whether Israel has committed human rights violations in its campaign.” Against Hamas in Gaza.

72 members of the US Senate voted against the request, while 11 members supported it, which easily led to the simple majority needed to overturn the decision in the 100-member Senate.

Sanders, the independent senator who grouped with Democrats who supported him, pushed for a vote on the request. Although the resolution was easily defeated, it reflects growing concern among some Democrats, especially those on the left, about the supply of American weapons to the occupying entity, despite the large numbers of martyrs and wounded civilians as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression, for the 103rd day, on the Gaza Strip.

“We must ensure that American aid is used in accordance with human rights and our laws,” Sanders said in a speech urging support for the request, deploring what he described as “the Senate’s failure to consider any measure that considers the impact of war on civilians.”

The White House had announced its opposition to the request, which could have paved the way for imposing conditions on security aid to Israel.

Senators who opposed this measure noted that it “sends the wrong message, at a time when Israel has said it is shifting to a more targeted campaign,” and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said that this request “is not only out of the norm, but it is dangerous.” "Absolutely the wrong signal at the wrong time."

Sanders' request was made under the Foreign Assistance Act, which allows the US Congress to direct the State Department to provide a report on human rights and other information about any country receiving US security assistance.

Foreign AffairsThe Occupation Repeatedly Cuts Off Communications And The Internet From Gaza by MAMMAN777(op): 8:08am On Jan 17, 2024
The government media office in Gaza confirms that the Israeli occupation has cut off and disrupted communications and Internet networks in the Gaza Strip for the seventh time during its ongoing aggression, warning that Israeli behavior will exacerbate the disasters caused by its aggression.

The government media office in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli occupation cut off and disrupted communications and Internet networks for the seventh time during its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The media office explained, in a press statement, that the Israeli occupation is deliberately cutting off and completely disrupting communications and internet networks in the Gaza Strip, during what it described as a “genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Strip,” revealing that “this crime has been continuing for 5 consecutive days.”

In its statements, the office pointed out that cutting off communications and the Internet means “the occurrence of disasters that threaten the lives of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” noting that there are many martyrs and wounded that no one will be able to reach with the interruption of communications, and therefore this will lead to an exponential increase in the number of victims in the country. The brutal war continues and the continuous bombing of homes and safe neighborhoods continues.

He stressed that the continued cutting off of communications and the Internet is a complete and premeditated crime, through which the occupation aims to deepen the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The government office held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the ongoing crime against 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip. It also held the United States of America and the international community responsible for the various crimes of the occupation as part of the genocidal war it is waging against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

In his media statements, he called on what he described as “all countries of the free world” to stop the criminal war on our Palestinian people immediately and urgently, in addition to calling on them and international organizations related to communications and the Internet to put pressure on the occupation in order to operate communications and Internet networks in the Gaza Strip, and to put an end to this tragedy. Repeated and continuous.

Regarding the Israeli occupation’s continuation of its aggression against the Gaza Strip, which has entered its 103rd consecutive day, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory stated, in a related context, that the occupation forces not only starved the Palestinians in the areas north of the Gaza Valley, but also killed dozens of them while trying to obtain limited aid. I got there.

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory indicated that the Israeli behavior represents “a perpetuation of the crime of genocide committed by Israel against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, since October 7 of last year.”

The Observatory, which monitors human rights, confirmed on Monday that the areas of Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip are facing a horrific tragedy resulting from the catastrophic scarcity of sources of potable water and the prevention of access to it, which represents a virtual death sentence for its residents.

The Observatory believed that depriving Gaza of water “constitutes a war crime,” in addition to being a form of genocide committed by “Israel” against the civilian population in the Strip since the beginning of its ongoing aggression.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that his country calls for holding an international peace conference in the Gaza Strip that will be broader, more reliable and more effective.

Wang Yi added in statements to reporters after his meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, in Cairo, on Monday, that "implementing the two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just settlement of the Palestinian issue."

He pointed out that "the essence of settling the Palestinian issue lies in correcting historical injustice," as well as "restoring justice to the Palestinian people as soon as possible."

The Chinese Foreign Minister confirmed that his country calls for this conference to be held to set a specific timetable and formulate a road map for implementing the "two-state solution" and resuming "Israeli-Palestinian peace talks" as soon as possible.

China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia expressed their concern about the continuation of the current situation in the Gaza Strip, demanding the immediate cessation of military operations in the Gaza Strip, sustainable relief for civilians, and opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians.
Foreign AffairsAmerican Spy Agencies "Yemen Ansar Allah Are Independent" by MAMMAN777(op): 1:45pm On Jan 15, 2024
American spy agencies confirm that they did not find evidence that senior Iranian leaders were the ones who gave orders to carry out operations in the Red Sea, acknowledging that the Ansar Allah movement is independent and has home-made military capabilities.

https://alpha-ar-media.almayadeen.net/media/image/2024/1/15/9e6cc3ac-6e39-4d24-8238-73c9425eae70.png

American officials acknowledged that the assessment of their country's spy agencies indicates that the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen is independent, and that Iran does not dictate its daily operations, according to what the American newspaper "New York Times" reported.

In the context of its talk about the American-British aggression against Yemen, the newspaper admitted that the leadership of this movement was the one that carried out the attacks against Israeli ships and those heading towards the occupation ports, far from Iranian interference.

American officials confirmed that they did not find direct evidence proving that senior Iranian leaders, for example, the Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ali Khamenei, or the Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Ismail Qaani, gave orders to launch attacks in the Red Sea.

The American newspaper also acknowledged the military capabilities possessed by the Yemeni armed forces, which actually enables them to carry out these operations in the Red Sea, saying, “They appear to be able to manufacture many of their own weapons, including drones.”

In his speech on January 3, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, distinguished the experience of the axis of resistance and the subordination of countries to the United States.

Sayyed Nasrallah explained that the forces of the resistance axis presented a “unique model,” explaining that they enjoy “self-decisions based on their convictions, their will, their faith, their sincerity, and their honesty,” stressing that they are not tools.

While the Secretary-General of Hezbollah indicated that the forces, parties, or movements that received support with money and weapons from Washington gradually turned into followers, tools, and thus into slaves.

In this “creative formula” of the resistance axis, “no one dictates anything to anyone, and no one orders anyone else.” Rather, what is taking place is consultation and coordination so that each team takes the decision in its country in a manner consistent with the strategic vision and in accordance with the interests of its people and country, according to what he stressed. Mr. Nasrallah.

Following the Yemeni operations in the Red Sea in support of Gaza in light of the continued American-backed Israeli aggression, and after these operations demonstrated their impact on the Israeli entity and the United States, Washington, along with Britain, launched a military aggression against the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, in addition to the governorates of Hodeidah, Saada, Dhamar, Taiz, and Hajjah.

Meanwhile, the American media confirmed that the American strikes were unable to “deter” Yemen, and in this context, the Wall Street Journal indicated that American officials expected the Yemenis to continue “hitting ships shortly after the American strikes.”

The US Army's Central Command announced that the destroyer "La Bon" was targeted by an anti-ship cruise missile in the Red Sea, at dawn on Monday, noting that the missile was launched from Yemen.
Foreign AffairsThe Managing Director INSS “israel” Must Pay Political Prices by MAMMAN777(op): 9:25am On Jan 14, 2024
One hundred days after the aggression on Gaza, the director of the National Security Research Institute in the occupation entity, Tamir Hayman, believes that the Israeli leadership must make one decision: either a prisoner exchange deal, or a more comprehensive deal that includes a “peace process” with the Palestinian Authority, and also starts from an exchange of prisoners. For prisoners.

https://alpha-ar-media.almayadeen.net/media/image/2024/1/14/b33f1402-5244-4542-ad10-5b9ab9b8b649.jpeg

Director of the National Security Research Institute in the occupation entity and former head of the Aman Service, Major General Tamir Hayman, reserve, saw that with the war on Gaza reaching its 100th day, “Israel” is reaching a decisive turning point, and the options of the political level are limited to two options.

According to Hayman, the dilemma has become political, and after a hundred days of war without eliminating the Hamas leadership or dealing with the Rafah Brigade, “Israel” must leave all of that behind and go to an exchange deal - mediated by Qatar - that leads to the end of the war. The price of this option is that Hamas will have a chance to continue ruling.

The second option is to go to a regional deal brokered by the United States with Saudi Arabia. In this case too, the war will end through an exchange deal, but the price will come in the form of Israeli agreement to a political process (peace process) with the Palestinian Authority.

Hayman does not rule out that the government will postpone decision-making and only move forward with military action for the war, which may be the best path for the current coalition, but it does not lead to any stable final state, and does not guarantee the achievement of all the goals of the war.

Hayman believes that the Israeli leadership must choose one of the first two options, both of which involve an unpopular political vision, but which guarantees partial achievement of the war’s objectives, or be determined to defeat Hamas militarily, and perhaps open an additional war front in the north, but it is doubtful that Ultimately, it achieves a fundamental change in the balance of national security.

Hyman concludes by saying that achieving the goals of the war, if it continues, will be in doubt, especially those related to the return of prisoners.

Senior Hamas leader Osama Hamdan at Hamas' press conference today, January 13th, 2024

For the 99th day, the zionist occupation continues its savage aggression, brutal bombing, and genocidal war against our Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Al-Quds.

We pray for mercy for the martyrs, swift healing for the wounded, freedom for prisoners in jails of the zionist enemy, and victory for our great people and our valiant resistance.

The new Nazi leaders of the occupation have failed to achieve any of their aggressive goals against our people and our valiant resistance, despite the genocide they commit, which has led to 30,000 Palestinian martyrs, mostly women and children.

The Nazi enemy has failed to break the will and steadfastness of our great people rooted in their land and has been unable to diminish the strength and resolve of the Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, Saraya Al-Quds, and the Palestinian resistance, who have inscribed an epic of heroism, dignity, and pride for our people and nation.

The men of the resistance in the proud and steadfast West Bank, continue to clash with the zionist soldiers, despite the occupation's targeting of camps and towns in the occupied West Bank, especially the camps of Jenin and Tulkarem, targeting civilians, and destroying infrastructure. The infiltration operation in "Adora" in Al-Khalil is a continuation of the Al-Aqsa Flood journey.

Since October 7th, this enemy has suffered a strategic defeat and continues to fail in its aggression against the Gaza Strip, militarily, politically, media-wise, legally, ethically, and humanely.

Our patient and steadfast people and our victorious resistance in the Gaza Strip have thwarted the enemy's plans for displacement and the liquidation of our national cause. They will thwart all its aggressive schemes and achieve a clear victory in the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, God willing.

For the first time in its history, the occupation is represented in the International Court of Justice to be tried before the entire world for crimes of ethnic cleansing and genocide against our people.

The struggle of the Palestinian people with the occupation and colonialism did not begin on October 7, 2023, but much earlier, with 105 years of occupation, 30 years under British colonialism, and 75 years of zionist occupation.

Our people have suffered for decades from all forms of oppression, injustice, seizure of basic rights, apartheid policies, and have endured a suffocating siege in the Gaza Strip for more than 17 years, turning it into the world's largest open prison.

The zionist occupation's violations and atrocities against our people, land, and sanctities have been documented by UN institutions, investigative committees, international courts, human rights organizations, and even "israeli" organizations, all passing without accountability or punishment.

The United States and its Western allies treat the zionist entity as a "state above the law" since its inception, continuously providing cover for its occupation, land seizure, holy site violations, and imposing harsh living conditions to expel our people, including ongoing forced displacement.

"Israeli" officials have categorically rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state. A month before Al-Aqsa Flood, zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented a map of historic Palestine, including the West Bank and Gaza, all colored as "israel" at the UN in September 2023, without world intervention.

Now, and after over 75 years of occupation and suffering, and thwarting our people's hopes for liberation, self-determination, independence, and return, we ask: Was it required for our people to keep waiting, or is it a national duty and natural response to defend our land, rights, and holy sites?!

The Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7th was a necessary step and a natural response in our people's struggle against the occupation to reclaim rights, achieve independence and freedom, and confront the zionist plans to liquidate the cause and assert control over the land and holy sites.

The Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7 targeted zionist military sites, successfully destroying the Gaza Division, killing and wounding its soldiers, and capturing several enemy soldiers and fighters without targeting civilians.

Avoiding targeting civilians, especially women, children, and the elderly, is a religious and moral commitment. Our resistance is disciplined by the rules and teachings of our noble Islamic faith, targeting only occupation soldiers and armed aggressors against our people. This was clear and explicit in the speech of brother Mohammed Deif, may Allah protect him, in the first minutes of the operation.

Hamas positively dealt with the civilian file brought to Gaza, striving from day one for their swift release, which occurred during the 7-day humanitarian ceasefire.

The occupation's propaganda, marketed by American and Western media, about the Al-Qassam Brigades targeting civilians on October 7 are pure slander and lies. The occupation's repeated claims about the sources of information alleging this are Israeli narratives and lies, emanating from entities engaged in misleading black propaganda for the occupation's objectives. There are no independent sources that confirm the validity of these allegations, or even any part of them.

Claims of Hamas killing civilians have been disproven even by "israeli" media reports, showing that many "israeli" civilian deaths were caused by "israeli" Apache helicopter strikes on participants in the Nova festival near the Ra'im settlement.

"Israeli" testimonies confirm that the occupation army's air raids caused the death of many settlers, gathered in Gaza envelope settlements for operational reasons, by bombing homes during clashes with the resistance on October 7 and subsequent days. This is part of the Israeli Hannibal Protocol, preferring to kill prisoners rather than leave them alive with the resistance.

The occupation's claims of killing children and raping women are nothing but black "israeli" propaganda against our resistance. Many neutral scientific investigations detailed these allegations and debunked them, revealing their falsehood and lies.

We affirm to the world that the brutal killing of civilians, particularly children and women, from our Palestinian people over a hundred days of savage aggression, is a systematic behavior of the zionist entity, intentionally aimed at humiliating and displacing an entire people. Approximately 24,000 martyrs, including 10,000 children, 7,000 women, and 60,000 wounded and injured, along with 8,000 missing persons, reveal the true nature of this Nazi occupation based on crimes of murder and forced displacement, as part of the ongoing crime of genocide.

We reiterate that those defending zionist barbarism are not interested in an objective reading of events and casualty figures. They always adopt the occupation's narrative, then go on to justify its brutal crimes, showing double standards when it comes to condemning and prosecuting the zionist occupation.

We are confident that any fair, objective, and independent investigations will affirm the truth of our narrative and the falsehood of the occupation's claims, which all data and events during the aggression on Gaza have proven to practice all methods of lying, deception, misinformation, and black propaganda.

We highly appreciate South Africa's action in bringing this case against the occupation to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, valuing the efforts and documented arguments and evidence of their legal team, proving the zionist occupation's involvement in genocide and ethnic cleansing of our people in Gaza to the world.

The arguments and evidence presented in this plea the day before yesterday provide a valid reason to stop the occupation's aggression on our people, children, and civilians in Gaza, and then to start prosecuting the occupation for the genocide it commits against our Palestinian people in Gaza.

We welcome the positions of brotherly and friendly countries that have declared their support for South Africa in stopping the aggression on our people and prosecuting the occupation for its crimes, and we renew our call to all countries to formally join the lawsuit filed by South Africa.

The zionist occupation has utterly failed to respond and confront the solid facts and evidence presented by the South African legal team before the International Court of Justice, exposing and denuding its systematic crimes of mass murder and forced displacement, further isolating it internationally, becoming a heavy burden on its supporters, and deepening its defeat against the justice of our cause and the legitimacy of our rights and struggle for freedom and independence.

The occupation, instead of acknowledging its crime, and in addition to its failure to present any logical defense for its crime, everything said about it constitutes an implicit admission of targeting our people with a crime of genocide. Such audacity is to the extent that its defense can be summarized in one sentence: "We didn’t do it, and if we did, we have the right to do so."

We look forward, with our people, nation, and all free people in the world, to the International Court of Justice urgently issuing a historic decision that vindicates our people's victims in Gaza, immediately stopping the aggression, aiding our people, healing their wounds, and holding war criminals accountable.

The stance of the American administration and some Western countries on South Africa's lawsuit against the "israeli" entity, dismissing it as baseless, reaffirms their complete bias towards the occupation. Their genuine involvement in the crimes of genocide and displacement against our people in the Gaza Strip is an attempt to disrupt the tools of international justice in stopping the aggression and criminalizing the occupation.

We condemn the aerial and naval bombing and the barbaric attack on our brotherly Yemen. It is a crime and a blatant aggression against Yemeni sovereignty, and a threat to the security of the region, which is witnessing American and British militarization. This has been done to protect the Nazi "israeli" occupation and to cover up its crimes against the Palestinian people and the entire Arab region.

The region will not witness security and stability unless the "israeli" occupation of our Palestinian and Arab lands ends. This requires Washington and London to abandon their colonial policies and prove their respect for the sovereignty of states and the interests of the Arab and Islamic peoples.

All the countries of the world, which are increasingly suffocating under these aggressive policies, will not stand idly by in the face of the brutal zionist crimes and the genocide our Palestinian people are subjected to.

International positions objecting to the violation of international law by the United States and its allies in its recent attacks on Yemen, the latest of which comes from Cuba, whose Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez believes that “such actions encourage genocide in Gaza.”

https://alpha-ar-media.almayadeen.net/media/image/2024/1/13/199b49aa-13c4-4d27-9c44-79ca91353df8.jpg?v=2&width=1000

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned the attacks launched by the United States and NATO allies in Yemen and the violation of international law.

Rodriguez considered that such actions encourage genocide in Gaza, reiterating the call for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian territories.

Rodriguez had confirmed that Cuba supports the lawsuit submitted by South Africa, calling “urgently” for an end to the genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.

While Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed his country's firm support for the lawsuit filed by South Africa before the International Court of Justice against "Israel", due to the crimes and acts of genocide committed against the Palestinian people. He stressed: “We will never be among the indifferent.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the attacks launched by the United States and the United Kingdom at dawn on Friday on several Yemeni cities. Saying that they come "in line with America and Britain's continued support for war crimes committed by the Zionist regime," noting that they are "arbitrary attacks that will only fuel a state of insecurity and stability in the region."

Kanaani added, "These attacks are a clear violation of Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity and a violation of international laws, regulations, and rights," expressing his country's concern about the consequences of repeating such attacks on regional and international peace and security, calling on the international community to take responsible reactions and measures.

In turn, the Algerian Foreign Ministry expressed its concern and regret as a result of the American-British bombing of Yemen. She indicated in a statement that the dangerous escalation by Washington and London would undermine efforts to find a solution to the conflict in Yemen.

Algeria called on the countries waging aggression against Yemen to stop military interventions because of their disastrous consequences for peace in the world, adding that those interventions are paid by unarmed civilians.

At dawn on Friday, the United States and Britain launched a military aggression against the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, in addition to the governorates of Hodeidah, Saada, Dhamar, Taiz, and Hajjah, according to what was reported by the official Yemeni "Saba" agency.

The US-British raids were renewed, targeting the Takhiya area in Saada in northern Yemen and the Bajil district in Hodeidah in the west, according to what was reported by Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent, as US and British fighters continued to fly over the airspace of the Hodeidah and Saada governorates.

The director of the Al-Mayadeen office in Yemen confirmed that air strikes or missile strikes targeted, at dawn on Saturday, the Al-Dailami base near Sanaa International Airport, north of the capital, after strikes carried out yesterday by US coalition forces in the Red Sea that targeted various areas in Yemen.

A Reuters correspondent quoted American officials as saying that the United States carried out an additional strike in Yemen last night, while CNN reported that the strike targeted a Yemeni radar facility.

Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi, Head of the Revolutionary Committee in Yemen, delivered a speech at the Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad march in Sana'a on 12/1/2024 :

We welcome direct confrontation with the Americans because they are the ones attacking our country and besieging our people for nine years.

America is the great Satan, the enemy of peoples, and it is terrorism.

We say to the American terrorist: return to your country to protect it from racism against African Americans and do not protect the "israeli" ships.

Our stance is to support our brothers in Gaza and to protect humanity there, while the American stands against humanity and kills all who protect it.

We are the ones who protect maritime navigation, but the American coalition is igniting the Red Sea, militarizing it, and threatening it, and the American is working hard to raise marine insurance prices.

Before the American claims that he came to protect international law, let him protect the American Constitution which he violated by bombing and striking our country.

The American claims to protect "israeli" ships or those heading to the "israeli" entity under the pretext of international law, which he tramples everywhere in the world.

The American should underline several times the confirmation of the leader of the revolution that any attack on the Republic of Yemen will be met with a response greater than the previous operation.

The operation with 24 drones carried out by our Armed Forces made the American soldiers targeted live in terror.

The American claims to reserve the right to respond, even though we did not attack American shores or reach the American islands that are famous for raping children.

The Americans do not defend themselves; they are Nazis, and their strikes on our country are terrorist acts to kill our people.

It is impossible for terrorists and perverts to achieve justice for humanity because they lack it.

We are indifferent to the American and the British; we have faced them for nine years, and yesterday's raids are the same as those we have been bombed with since 2015, with the same plane and the same weapon.

We will remain alive, God willing, in the face of our enemies, whether we achieve martyrdom or continue to confront them on the battlefronts.

We do not see confrontation with the American or the British as anything but life, for life is in confronting these tyrants and arrogant ones in the world.

The American has not brought anything new, but it is us who will bring something new, and we will bring your punishment, God willing.

Foreign AffairsSouth Africa: Israel Failed To Disprove Genocide Lawsuit Before ICJ by MAMMAN777(op): 5:31pm On Jan 12, 2024
THE HAGUE, Friday, January 12, 2024 (WAFA) –
South Africa's Minister of Justice, Ronald Lamola, stood firm today outside the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, maintaining that Israel has failed to refute South Africa's lawsuit accusing the occupying regime of committing the crime of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

"The State of Israel today has failed to disprove South Africa's compelling case that was presented before the ICJ yesterday. We stand by the facts, the law, and all the evidence we have submitted," Lamola asserted. Despite Israel's defense today, South Africa maintains its belief that Israel is acting in violation of the Genocide Convention.

"There is nothing justifying the way Israel wages war on Gaza. Self-defense does not justify genocide," Lamola continued. "We are confident that we have presented a comprehensive case, and Israel attempted to demonize us. The United Nations itself acknowledged the obstruction of relief missions in Gaza, and the only solution is to stop the war."

Lamola expressed his confidence that the International Court of Justice will compel Israel to take interim measures to halt the war on Gaza. The ICJ resumed its sessions on Friday, hearing Israel's response to South Africa's accusations.

In Thursday's initial session, South Africa submitted a meticulously compiled 84-page dossier, presenting evidence of Israel's deliberate killing of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza. The focus was on South Africa's request for urgent measures compelling Israel to suspend its military offensive.

The legal action taken by South Africa against Israel has garnered significant support globally, challenging Israel's actions as an occupying force. Lamola expressed gratitude for international support, emphasizing that South Africa seeks justice for the Palestinian people.

Since October 7, Israel's destructive offensive in Gaza has resulted in a devastating toll of over 23,000 fatalities, 59,000 injuries, and a significant humanitarian crisis. The ICJ proceedings mark a historic precedent in the longstanding Palestinian question.

Foreign AffairsStatement By Hamas Leader In Beirut On 10/1/2024 by MAMMAN777(op): 11:31pm On Jan 10, 2024
Senior Hamas leader Osama Hamdan as part of Hamas' press conference in Beirut today (

We stand with all pride and honor in the face of the legendary steadfastness shown by our people in the Gaza Strip, enduring the pain, hunger, deprivation, and the daily horrific crimes and massacres committed against them.

We send a message of blessing and pride to the men of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Saraya Al-Quds, and all the heroes of the Palestinian resistance, who continue to humiliate the officers and soldiers of the occupation army and disgrace their image, making their leaders pay for occupying our land and for their crimes against our people, land, and sanctities.

The occupation continues its Nazi aggression and genocide for the 96th day, with brutality, criminality, and sadism against over two million Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip, using all types of internationally banned weapons and bombs, fully supplied by the United States of America.

The Nazi occupation's crimes are not limited to the Gaza Strip, but extend throughout the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds, through the siege of cities and camps, cold-blooded assassination crimes, arrests, and systematic destruction of homes and infrastructure.

Since the beginning of the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood, more than 353 martyrs have ascended in the occupied West Bank. The world witnessed how an "israeli" military vehicle—deliberately and vengefully—ran over one of the martyrs in Tulkarem after he was shot by Nazi occupation soldiers. In Jenin, a zionist drone targeted a group of young men, martyring 7 of them, including 4 brothers.

This Nazi occupation has committed every imaginable crime, in blatant violation of all laws, norms, and international humanitarian law; from mass killing, forced displacement, arresting innocent civilians, stripping and torturing them, and photographing them, to the systematic targeting of children, kidnapping, and shooting civilians after removing them from shelters, and destroying all aspects of human life in the Gaza Strip, including hospitals, UNRWA shelters, schools, universities, mosques, churches, service centers, and even desecrating graves and stealing organs of the martyrs.

The people of Gaza face the danger of death every day, with increasing numbers of displaced people and a lack of adequate shelters, along with scarce aid reaching all areas of the Strip.

The catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip warns of a significant increase in the number of martyrs, wounded, sick, and displaced. Those who don't die from bombing, burning, and sniping with zionist-American weapons die from hunger, thirst, and disease.

We await urgent action from Ms. Sigrid Kaag, who started her mission last Monday as appointed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, as the Senior Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, to end the suffering of Palestinian civilians in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and to overcome the pressures and dictates of the occupation.

What is urgently needed is the sufficient flow of aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip, especially the northern areas that are facing actual famine.

It also required to ensure the entry of fuel to hospitals, bakeries, water pumping stations, and sewage treatment plants, and to operate the civil work facilities destroyed by the occupation. This is an urgent responsibility and a pressing priority for Mrs. Kaag, and all concerned countries, governments, and UN institutions, leading to a halt of this barbaric Nazi aggression against our people.

For more than 3 full months, this Nazi enemy has not achieved any of its aggressive goals. It is trying through the escalation of its brutal crimes against innocents and civilians, including children and women, to claim a false victory, but it has not achieved it, and will not, by the grace of Allah, then by the steadfastness of our people and the valor of our resistance.

The marketing of the Nazi occupation in partnership with the American administration of the so-called "transition to the third phase of the war" is part of a false and black propaganda, exposed to our people and our resistance, and a desperate attempt to pass it as an achievement at the expense of our people's blood, amidst the continuation of all forms of massacres and crimes against our people.

The zionist enemy's prisoners held by the resistance will not return alive to their families, unless Netanyahu and his war chiefs comply with the conditions of the resistance, the first of which is the complete and total cessation of their aggression against the Gaza Strip.

With each of his five tours to the region, Blinken comes to sell illusions to all the countries he meets with, looking with one eye, adopting the narrative of the occupation, and supporting its agenda in liquidating the Palestinian cause and exterminating its people.

The American administration, through its officials, is still adopting the misleading narrative and false propaganda of the occupation, attempting to justify the genocide committed by the terrorist occupation army against civilians, claiming that the Palestinian resistance is embedded among civilians. This is a transparent policy to absolve the occupation of the bloodshed of children, women, and elders in Gaza, whose numbers exceed 30,000, including martyrs and those missing under the rubble.

Regarding Blinken's statement that many countries in the region are ready to invest in Gaza's future: we reiterate that the Palestinian people are the masters of their own destiny, responsible for self-determination according to their national vision, to achieve their major goals of freedom, liberation from occupation, and establishing their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.

We affirm our people's welcoming stance towards any Arab and Islamic effort supporting our cause, backing the resistance, ending the aggression, removing the occupation and the brutal effects of its aggression on our people, land, and our Islamic and Christian holy sites.

We again call on the American administration to stop its policies that hinder efforts to end the genocide waged by the occupation in Gaza, to immediately work on stopping this criminal aggression, and to cease manipulating international laws and systems for the benefit of the Nazi-zionist entity.

Regarding the United Nations General Assembly session yesterday, Tuesday, discussing the use of the veto by the United States in the Security Council on December 22, 2023, against the resolution to stop the zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, we affirm that the American administration continues to practice all forms of support for this zionist aggression to ensure its continuation and prolong its duration, serving the occupation and partnering in its criminality and aggression.

The American administration bears political, legal, moral, and humanitarian responsibility for the suffering, pain, killing, and displacement of over two million Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip.

The American administration's failure to issue United Nations Security Council resolutions to stop the aggression, and defying the will and positions of 153 countries in the United Nations General Assembly demanding a halt to the aggression, makes this administration a pariah and a sponsor of zionist terrorism.

The positions of this administration and its support for the occupation and its crimes will increase its political, diplomatic, popular isolation and damage its alleged moral image, confirming its relationship and sponsorship of all forms of terrorism in the world.

We welcome and appreciate the positions of all countries that supported the courageous and honorable historical stance of the Republic of South Africa in raising this lawsuit against the Nazi occupation.

We call on the International Court of Justice not to succumb to the dictates and pressures of the American administration, which is complicit and responsible for the continuation of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The positions expressed by Secretary Blinken regarding the legal case in the International Court of Justice, stating that "this step distracts efforts to contain the escalation" and that the genocide lawsuit is "baseless," are American attempts to obscure the truth about the crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza. These are attempts to impede the function of international justice mechanisms.

In this context, we ask: Is the occupation's killing of about 30,000 civilians, most of them children and women, baseless?! Is the policy of starvation, dehydration, and cutting off water sources to the residents of the Gaza Strip baseless?! Is the destruction of 70% of the Gaza Strip baseless?! Is the destruction of 30 hospitals and the killing of doctors and journalists baseless?! This is hypocrisy, lies, and a policy of double standards by the Biden administration, which is complicit in this genocide.

Mercy, glory, and eternity to the martyrs of our people and our nation in all battlefields, both in the homeland and abroad. We wish a speedy recovery for the wounded and the sick, freedom for the prisoners and detainees, and victory and dignity for our people and our resistance.

Foreign AffairsStatement By Head Of The Political Bureau Of Hamas On 9/1/2024 by MAMMAN777(op): 10:55am On Jan 09, 2024
Statement by Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh on 9th January 2024

There are three developments that preceded the Al-Aqsa Flood.
First -The marginalization of the Palestinian cause locally and internationally.
Second - The arrival of an extremist zionist government which prioritized the displacement of our people and imposing sovereignty over the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Third - The normalization processes and integrating the occupation into the region, treating it at the expense of our people and our cause.

Faced with this, our Palestinian people and our resistance decided that a reality of this kind cannot be confronted with traditional means.
Hence, the Al-Aqsa Flood was the response.

The enemy set three goals: annihilate the resistance, recover the prisoners, and the implementation of the displacement plan for Gazans towards Egypt.
I tell you that the enemy, despite the destruction and massacres, has failed to achieve any of the war's objectives.

Hamas is present in Gaza, the West Bank, Al-Quds, and in the diaspora, in the conscience of the nation and the free people of the world; it cannot be eliminated. Hamas has entered every home in the Arab and Islamic nation and the world.

These objectives were adopted by the American administration and the Western alliance. We clearly state that this aggression is American-"israeli", as the American administration pushed all its capabilities and devised the war plan to eliminate the resistance.

The enemy designed four stages of war: Aerial bombing, Ground invasion, Focused operations against the resistance, and The lolitical phase.

Despite the heavy cost, massacres, and genocidal war, the enemy failed to achieve any of its war objectives.

After nearly 100 days, the zionist intelligence and its Western ally, along with drones flying over Gaza and bombing, all failed to liberate even a single living prisoner from the Gaza Strip.

The "israeli" occupation will never be able to recover its prisoners except by releasing all of our prisoners in its jails.

Due to extreme panic and disturbance, the occupation killed three of their own prisoners, mistaking them for a deception operation by Al-Qassam Brigades.

The objective of displacement has fallen, due to the steadfastness of our people and their deep roots in our land. When allowed, the people of Gaza who were stuck outside entered Gaza, and the people of Gaza did not leave it.

The occupation failed in all its military objectives. It succeeded in only one thing, which is revealing its murderous, bloody face to the whole world after committing all these massacres.

What is happening in the West Bank is serious and significant.
The enemy is brutalizing its people, and about 350 martyrs have ascended since the beginning of Al-Aqsa Flood.

The entire region is on a boiling plate, with martyrs on supporting fronts in Lebanon and elsewhere.

We see that the world's nations are pouring weapons to the occupation through air bridges and aircraft carriers.
It is time to support the resistance with weapons because this is the battle of Al-Aqsa, not just the battle of the Palestinian people alone.

The daily losses of the zionist occupation in Palestine at the hands of the heroes of the resistance are much greater than what the occupation announces.

The videos the world sees of the resistance operations are just a fraction of what is happening on the ground. Not all operations are filmed, but the occupation army knows the facts.

Yesterday, the zionist media spoke about what they called the "hardest day for us" in Gaza.
After nearly 100 days they talk about hard days because there are men who have kept their promise to Allah.

The resistance front in Gaza is a strong, cohesive, promising front with a long strategic breath, leadership, and control. This is a source of pride for all the sons of the nation and the free people of the world.

The time has come for the struggle of spears. This battle of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa is not only Gaza's battle. The people in Gaza are in the front trench for defense and attack.

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" confirms that the challenge posed by Hamas to the Israeli "army" inside the Gaza Strip is still great, especially in the center and south.

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" saw that Hamas, by launching a barrage of 5 medium-range missiles yesterday from the Rafah area to the Hebron Valley, reminded "Israel" that the war is not over yet.

She pointed out that this confirms its ability to continue harassing the Israeli home front, noting that the challenge posed by Hamas to the Israeli “army” inside the Gaza Strip is still great, especially in the center and south, as the “army” continues to exert efforts to control the area and determine the locations of tunnels. ongoing.

She added that any such move involves resistance, and sometimes unfortunate incidents, and the Israeli “army” incurs human losses.

"Haaretz" confirmed that "the Israeli government, at the beginning of the war, restricted itself to a series of unrealistic expectations: the destruction of Hamas' authority, the early return of the residents of the Gaza Strip to their homes, and the creation of conditions for the return of all prisoners," considering that these goals are still far from being achieved yet. 3 months into the war.

She pointed out that Netanyahu, as usual, is trying to compensate for the losses in the Gaza Strip with empty statements, preferably supported by taking a photo with soldiers.

Yesterday, The Conversation website said in a report that the Israeli war still has a long way to go, and may even be heading towards a stalemate, stressing Israel’s failure to achieve its goals, namely “destroying Hamas and releasing the remaining Israeli prisoners.”

She added that Hamas's main achievement is that it "is still standing," as "its fighters continue to use their network of tunnels to ambush Israeli soldiers, and fire rockets at Israel."

Today, new rules are being drawn up for the game of nations in the region, in war and peace, and always in the interest of the parties involved in the battle of victory and support for Gaza and its resistance.

https://alpha-ar-media.almayadeen.net/media/image/2024/1/8/9c6fd7ff-c899-4c14-bca0-d9355fe01a7a.png?v=3&width=1000

The “Al-Aqsa Flood” opened the door to a series of turns and turns at all levels: Palestinian, Israeli, regional, and international...
The relevant players engaged, to varying extents, in the game of redrawing the rules of the “Game of Nations” that had ruled and controlled the region for more than 3 decades. Its consequences were disastrous for a number of its countries, especially for what was known and became known as “the first central Arab issue.” The Palestinian cause.

It was natural for the parties not to look at the event/earthquake from the same lens, as their different locations and interests led to a difference in their positions and approaches...
“Israel” and the alliance of supporters and partners in many capitals of the colonial West dealt with the event as a serious threat and challenge, not to the existence of “Israel.”
Its dominant role as an “intermediate and intermediary” colonial power carries out its roles on its own behalf and on behalf of this alliance, but rather as a herald of the regional and international “coup of the two scenes.”

As for the countries of the region, Arab and non-Arab, including the Palestinian Authority, they were quick to “consider” their options and alternatives after they woke up from the horror of the shock, and their subsequent decisions and positions were varied, and sometimes contradictory...
Some of them saw October 7 as an opportunity and jumped to seize it, and it was He has, or will have, what he wants, while others saw it as a threat, so they engaged in projects to contain it and empty it of its gains, and thus reaped disappointment, criticism, and accusations of inability and negligence...
He was a burden on Palestine, and was not an asset to his people and his country.

In microeconomics, the term opportunity cost refers to the value of the better available option given up for the option taken. I believe that there is room for this concept in political science as well...
Those who chose to object and sought “safety” and made narrow calculations, whether from personal or factional standpoints or for considerations that advance the interests of the government and its elites at the expense of the interests of peoples and nations, who preferred to adopt the theory of “settle in peace” in Language, so they deliberately silenced their people, continued the old as it was, and dealt with old and outdated tools with a new “revolutionary” reality.
They had to make calculations of the “opportunity cost” in order to recognize the value and price of the options and alternatives they wasted that could have created a surplus. In their value and the values of their countries and entities.

We can imagine if the Authority, the organization, and the Fatah movement had not abandoned the “alternative opportunity” provided by the flood, and had proceeded without delay to rebuild the unifying national reference for the Palestinian people, inserted resistance into the core of its institutional structure, provided it with a political safety net, and moved from the security coordination rooms.
And seats for observers and spectators to the trenches of confrontation with the enemy, even if they are within their “peaceful and popular” borders.

We can imagine if Ramallah had fought the narrative battle with the occupation, put it on the path to accountability (instead of the sick thinking of holding Hamas accountable), had taken the lead before the international courts, and escalated the pace of its response to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, to deserve the thanks and sympathy of the Palestinian people instead of thanks that are drenched in humiliation.
She received it from Blinken and some symbols of the Israeli security level...

We can imagine if the Authority and Ramallah had confronted the attempts to demonize the resistance and emboldened it with frank expressions and a full mouth, instead of some of those affiliated with it sneaking in to launch positions that only pour pure wheat into the mill of aggression and occupation...
The Authority, the organization, and Fatah must honestly conduct an inventory of accounts with... “Opportunity cost/lost” today, not tomorrow.

Cairo had a rare historical opportunity, which it had not had since the glorious October War, to rebuild its leadership and leadership role in the region.
Egypt, without leadership and leadership in the region, has no weight, even if it is the largest Arab country in terms of its population...

Cairo could have drawn red lines in and around Gaza, like the one it drew between Sirte and Al-Jufra in Libya, and it, and not South Africa (with all respect), would be the one to prosecute “Israel” before international forums, and it would be in charge of implementing the summit’s decision.
The urgent need to break the siege on the Rafah crossing, and to arouse the positions of strong Arab, regional and friendly countries around it, and to transfer the Hamas file from being a security file that is managed by its intelligence services, to considering it a political file - nationalist par excellence, and to lead the international community to recognize Hamas, the Jihad, and the resistance factions, as National liberation and legitimate resistance movements against the hateful, racist, uprooted, colonialist occupation, and to restore balance and poise to their relations with “Israel”, so that they will have the upper hand after years of flattery, compromise, and soft and timid approaches with an enemy that reveals a willingness to trample Egypt’s sovereignty and dignity under his feet and deal with the Sinai.
As if it were an “agency without a gatekeeper” and a communal land to which Palestinians are proposed to be displaced and resettled.

The young Saudi leadership had a rare historical opportunity to lead the Arab and Islamic worlds for at least the next fifty years, and Riyadh knows that Palestine, not NEOM, is its gateway to leading these two worlds.
The young and rising kingdom could have completed its internal transformations with a shift in its foreign policy without abandoning the ambitions and dreams of its White Revolution.

The Kingdom could have used its “veto” in the face of the leaders of Tel Aviv and Washington, who rushed to ensure Israel’s dominant role in the region, and to ensure their “engineering” of its security system, especially after they saw with their own eyes that Tel Aviv was unable to protect itself from the Qassam Brigades.
How can it protect them and their oil, security and stability from the threat of Iran and its allies!

We said before the Al-Aqsa flood, and we say after it, that whoever wants to lead the Arab and Islamic worlds, and for the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations to recognize his leadership and his right to lead them, must provide custody of Palestine, a cause, a people, an issue, a project, and a resistance, and not be satisfied with positions and approaches that are closer to “raising the blame.” From there to the initiative...

What would Riyadh have lost if it had chosen to harshly expose itself to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, welcomed all spectrums of Palestinian national and Islamic action, confronted Zionist war crimes in international forums, and raised its voice in the face of the American partnership in the dirty war against the people of Palestine? Would its relations with the West have deteriorated more than they did during the time of Jamal Khashoggi and the Istanbul consulate, for example, or when it decided to receive the Chinese leader and committed to the “OPEC Plus” framework?

Turkey and Iran have performed differently in this crisis...
Ankara distanced itself in the first week of the war before raising its level of criticism and condemnation of the Israeli aggression, and then returned to show its readiness to discuss the post-war Gaza, and even before the war ended, in search of a role in mediation. In "sponsoring"
any future arrangements for Gaza...
its positions did not go beyond withdrawing the ambassador, and it maintained the closest commercial and economic relations with "Israel"...
Turkey's image in public opinion, both Arab and Palestinian, has been weakened despite the high tone of political and media discourse, even among Hamas and its fans.
Tayeb Rajab” no longer enjoys the same status he had before the flood, and in return he did not gain the respect of the West and the trust of “Israel.”

On the other hand, Iran and its allies took a decision for a controlled and calculated escalation, often within the rules of engagement, but with a degree of “flexibility” in adhering to them, whether escalating or de-escalating...
However, the fronts that supported Gaza and occupied “Israel” remained limited to “non-state” forces close to Iran and its affiliates...
Hezbollah opened a wide front, and adopted a method of gradual and controlled escalation that kept pace with the course of the war on Gaza.
Ansar Allah jumped to the highest level of intervention, followed the word with action, and imposed a siege on Eilat according to the “Gaza for Eilat” equation, and factions of the Popular Mobilization Forces increased their level of harsh exposure to American bases in Iraq and Syria.

These forces could have remained silent and inactive, and no one would blame them for that, as long as Arab countries, large and small, did nothing but formulate statements of condemnation and appeals and some diplomatic activity and urgent relief shipments... but they would have lost their “narrative” and credibility if they had chosen. Relaxation, and will not return to find anyone to buy its goods...
It made the choice to win for Gaza, in word and deed, and now it is preparing to reap the fruits and “blessings” of victory for Gaza, in the words of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.

There is evidence that a “major settlement” is being prepared behind closed doors, leading to a sustainable calm, a comprehensive ceasefire, and full implementation of Resolution 1701 or any resolution of its kind and style, but after the Gaza war has ended, and on the basis of “liberating all of the occupied Lebanese territories.” From northern Ghajar to the Shebaa Farms, the Kfar Shuba hills, and the settlement of the thirteen border points...
This is not only a gain for Hezbollah and the resistance, this is a gain for Lebanon as well, and this is a result of making the right choice that appears on its face to be more costly, but is guaranteed to have a greater return than The choice of silence and retreat.

It is certain that the movement of the Iraqi Islamic factions on the line of rough exposure to the American military presence in Iraq, and the resulting “reckless” American reactions, will end in the liberation of Iraq from American and foreign forces. It seems that this file has been put on “hot fire,” and this will open the door to the possibility of an American withdrawal from northeastern Syria, in a move that will be in the interest of Tehran, its axis, and its allies.

The same thing, and even greater, applies to Yemen. Ansar Allah Houthis, with their decision to impose a siege on Eilat, gained popular Yemeni support in the first place, and Arab and Islamic support in the end, and today they are almost reducing Yemen with all its sects and components, after transforming from a local force. And a controversial Yemeni team turned into a regional player par excellence, which will be present strongly and at the table, not when talking about the security of the Red Sea and freedom of navigation, but when discussing the future of Yemen after the eight-year lean war on it...
The marches of millions of Yemenis, and the marches of Ansar Allah and their missiles, push countries Regional and Arab countries need to think carefully about the position of Ansar Allah and their status in the new Yemen, since they have been receiving, since they went out to war alongside Gaza, waves of repentants and returnees from the Yemeni forces that had agreed to be subjected to foreign dependency.

We said after the flood that it is a game changer for the entire regional scene, and not just for the Palestinian and Israeli equations...
Today, the fragility of the Abrahamic Peace, its consequences and its precedents is clear.
Today, the borders and restrictions imposed on his countries are becoming clear.
Today, the ability of the capitals of this path to play a meaningful role is eroding...

On the other hand, today new rules are being drawn up for the game of nations in the region, in war and peace, and always in the interest of the parties that engaged in the battle of victory and support for Gaza and its resistance...
Today, after the flood, there is a new picture of a new Middle East.

Foreign AffairsThere Is A New Generation Of Hamas Tunnels "Their Openings Are Deadly Holes" by MAMMAN777(op): 11:03am On Jan 08, 2024
The American magazine Foreign Policy indicates that Hamas's tunnels are Israel's biggest weakness in the war, and destroying them requires a slow and cumbersome process for Israel.

The American magazine Foreign Policy confirmed on Saturday that Hamas' increasing reliance on tunnels in the Gaza Strip and its elaborate construction efforts helped the movement achieve its goals.

The magazine said that the tunnels led to destabilization of the Israeli forces, caused huge losses, delayed the end of the war and made victory for the Israeli forces relatively distant.

She pointed out that "it has never happened in the history of tunnel warfare that a defender was able to spend months in such narrow places. The digging itself and the innovative methods used by Hamas for the tunnels and for the movement to remain underground for a long period are unprecedented." She stressed that Hamas's tunnels are Israel's greatest weakness in the war, and destroying them requires a slow and cumbersome process.

Also, the Israeli “Army” entered the current war and it possesses the most advanced military capabilities in detecting tunnels, but even the most specialized units in detecting tunnels suffered losses due to booby-trapping the entrances to the tunnels. What is clear today is that “Israel” cannot discover or draw a map of the entire Hamas tunnel network.

A new generation of Hamas tunnels

According to the American magazine, the network, which Hamas fighters use to hide themselves and their prisoners, plan operations, store weapons, and ambush Israeli soldiers, constitutes an important part of the movement’s military infrastructure.

It has proven to be Israel's greatest weakness in the war, so its destruction is necessary to weaken Hamas' military capabilities and prevent attacks similar to those carried out by the movement on October 7, says Foreign Policy.

According to the magazine, with the beginning of the new year, several questions now loom for military planners and analysts seeking to draw lessons, namely: How close is “Israel” to destroying the tunnel network? How long will it take its forces to overcome this threat?

Regarding this matter, the American Foreign Policy says that tunnel warfare has always been one of the most deadly and complex forms of combat, and during World War I, thousands of British troops died trying to destroy German underground sites. Likewise, after years, the United States tried to defeat its enemies in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

Foreign Policy said, “Israel learned about combating tunnels the hard way, so the discovery of cross-border tunnels dug by Hamas in 2014 brought back the great security threat they pose.”

The magazine pointed out that after the 2014 war, Israel shifted to a more strategic approach and intensified its efforts. It created elite units specialized in tunnel warfare, built its own tunnel structures to train soldiers, improved tunnel detection with mobile units and targeted research and development, came up with unique tactical solutions to enhance readiness, and strengthened cooperation with partners and allies.

As a result, the Israeli army entered the current war with the most advanced military capabilities to detect, map, neutralize and destroy tunnels. However, this progress did not deter Hamas from digging and did not reduce the challenge of fighting in an underground environment, and the most specialized Israeli units were exposed to ambushes at the entrance to the tunnels.

The American Foreign Policy revealed that the current war has shown that there is a new generation of Hamas tunnels. The current networks are deeper and more solid, and resemble the large infiltration tunnels in North Korea, as Hamas used advanced drilling techniques and transferred its underground capabilities to the next level.

Hamas tunnel openings drag Israelis into the abyss

According to the magazine, the openings of the tunnels built by "Hamas" are essentially lethal holes in the ground. They vary in size and shape and are usually camouflaged and booby-trapped. They lead to tunnel shafts, which is part of the subterranean structure used to penetrate deep into the ground and reach a broader network of tunnels. .

During the Israeli sweeping operations, soldiers uncovered hundreds of tunnel holes, which made progress complicated. These openings also enabled Hamas fighters to emerge from the ground to fire automatic weapons or rocket launchers at Israeli forces.

The most valuable thing in this war is time, as forces operate in a complex military environment that combines urban warfare, tunnel warfare, and search and rescue operations, which requires locating the rest of the tunnels, working around booby traps, and avoiding surprise attacks.

Therefore, the tunnels destabilized the Israeli forces, caused heavy losses, and delayed the end of the war. Indeed, it became clear that Israel could not discover or draw a map of the entire Hamas tunnel network. In order for Israel to declare that it has achieved its war objectives, it must first destroy at least two-thirds of Hamas' underground infrastructure.

The American magazine concluded its report by saying: While “Israel” moves to destroy Hamas’s network of underground tunnels, the forces remain under fire, and additional tunnels are discovered every day. This mission may take a few more months to complete, as tunnel warfare requires endurance and time. And perseverance, ending the war prematurely may mean defeat. To avoid such an outcome, Israel's ability to set its own timetable is essential.

Military affairs analyst on the Israeli Channel 14, Noam Amir, said, “Hezbollah’s capabilities should worry us greatly, especially after yesterday’s operation.”

The Israeli analyst pointed out that the Israeli “army” is concealing the extent of the damage that befell the intelligence system at the Meron Air Force base yesterday.

Regarding the reason for the “Army” concealing the damage to Meron, Amir stressed that the Israeli “Army” did not want to provide Nasrallah with any clarifications regarding the results of the attack.

Israeli media commented on the resistance's targeting of "Meron" by saying that it was "a high degree, and it is worrying in terms of the amount of information Hezbollah has about very strategic places."

Yesterday, Saturday, Al-Mayadeen analyst for Lebanese affairs, Abbas Fneish, provided details about the Islamic resistance operation in Lebanon, during which the Israeli “Meron” air base in Jabal al-Jarmaq, north of occupied Palestine, was targeted.

Regarding the nature of the weapons used, Fneish stated that the targeting was carried out using joint artillery and guided missile weapons, adding that the resistance used a wide-range guided missile system, and that its hits were accurate and had great destructive capacity.

For its part, the military media of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon published a video clip documenting the targeting of the Israeli base, at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday morning, and the recording shows that multiple sites on the base were accurately hit.
