" am 21, am matured, i know whats good for me, u don't need to tell me what to do" is what a young female will tell anybody dat corrects her whenever she does something unmatured. "baby you are matured nw..why are u behaving like a small child. Lets do dis thing once and for all" is what a guy tells a lady to have sex with her when he understands that she is not matured. " guy, u dey do like say u never mature oo...abeg shine ur eye, no de dull boyz jharee..no b today we de do dis thing..if u no go mature, we go find person wey mature make e join us..' is what criminal minded fellows tells a juvenile, to lure him into crime.. Its quite laughable when one deceives him/herself with the aforementioned statements with d thoughts that it is what maturity is all about.. Throughout my years in skul, i came across varieties of statements defining maturity but the one i considered 'acceptable' to me is the one that says; "Maturity is a psychological term used to indicate how a person responds to the circumstance of the enviroment in an appropriate manner: the adult with a true maturity is one who has grown out of childhood experiences without losing childhood best traits. He has obtained the basic emotional strength of infancy, the stubborn autonomy of toddlerhood, the capacity for wonder, pleasure and playfullness of preschool age, the capacity for affiliation and intellectual curiosity of the school years, the idealism and passion of adolescence. He has incorporated these into a new pattern of simplicity dominated by adult stabillity, wisdom, knowledge, sensitivity to other people, responsibillity, strength and purposefullness. If dis is what maturity entails, then who am i? - is it maturity for me to sag my trouser nd move on the street in d name of 'ass down' when i knw within me that it isnt the right thing to do? -am i matured if at the age of 35, i fight with old men on ATM ques just for the singular reason of 'i came before u' ? - how matured am i to date more than a single lady/ guy at a time just for the reason |

Lawmakers spearheading the planned impeachment of President Goodluck Jonathan have identified 50 constitutional violations by the president, for which he should be removed. According to Vanguard, the violations will form part of the impeachment notice. More than 120 lawmakers have been reported to have appended their signatures for the impeachment of the president, with most of them being members of the House of Representatives. Indications have now emerged that a significant number of members of the Senate are now on the same page with the lower house on the impeachment issue. Vanguard quoted a top officer in the House as saying that both chambers have resolved to work together on the President’s impeachment over “incompetence, corruption and unprecedented impunity.” The planned removal of the president, according to him, was to serve the common good of the country. Speaking further, the lawmaker told Vanguard that the impeachment plot has nothing to do with any party, saying lawmakers from all the political parties represented on the National Assembly have identified with the cause. “I’m sure you read the reports today that senators are going to move against Jonathan. Now you can confirm that the impeachment thing is not about APC. It is a non-partisan cause. We have all resolved that the man (President Jonathan) must go. “Never in the history of Nigeria has a leader displayed such crass incompetence as we have seen in President Jonathan. It is glaring and you can feel it. Mr. President, with due respect, has shown that he is not capable of running this country. That is the basic truth,” he stated. [b]So my fellow nairalanders, do you agree to this??[b] |
This quiet unfortunate, Nigeria is which seen as 'giant of africa' is holding the 19th position after another terrible devaluation of the naira to 176naira per dollar

Pls chook ur mouth in this matter! There was this man who married two wives, when his second wife was 7monts pregnant, he died. His second wife gave birth after his death and shortly after, she abandoned her new born baby and left her husband's house to marry another man. This new baby named Saleem was now under the care of his step mother who couldn't give birth to a child cos she was barren. She took care of this boy as her own biological son, cater for him, care for him and all that. Till he became a successful an rich man. He later became one of th elites of his community. On hearing this, (that the man has become successful) his biological mother, after 29years then decided to return to her 'husband's house' to claim her son. She wasn't rejected anyway... After a short while, she told her son that she don't want to stay in the same house with her husband's wife(the man's step mother) she told her son that let him get a house far away so they can move to the house together. At this point, this young man is confused whether to listen to his biological mother (knowing the consequences of disobeying mothers) Pls if u are in his position, what decision will u make? Ur contribution can be the one to save this puzzled young man. Thank u as u contribute. |
Professor Akasoba Duke-Abiola , one of the wives of late politician, Chief M.K.O. Abiola, has dragged the People Democratic Party, PDP, before a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja for declaring President Goodluck Jonathan as its sole candidate in the 2015 elections. Vanguard reports that Abiola claimed that she paid the mandatory sum of Two Million Naira to the party to obtain the expression form for presidential election, which she claimed she was entitled to, but was denied by the party. Abiola has urged the court declare that INEC cannot accept any candidate fielded by the party for purposes of the Presidential Election in 2015, by reason of the provisions of Section 87 (9) of the Electoral Act, 2010. No date has been fixed for the case. Meanwhile Professor Akasoba Duke-Abiola is not the only person angry over this development, It was reported, recently, that Tafawa Balewa’s son, Dr Abdul Jelil has also vowed to drag the PDP to court for being denied the Presidential form. It would be noted that Tambuwal’s move caused a highly-publicized scandal in Nigeria’s politics. Today as he spoke at the 6th anniversary celebration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, the politician explained that the dumped the ruling party because the system had been “hijacked” by a “cabal”, The Nation reports. He concluded that such system needed to be changed. “We have accepted to join the movement of progressives to change the system. The system today is malfunctioning and has failed in several ways. You have to change a system that is not working. We have a cabal that has hijacked the instrument of authority. We should vote them out in February. What do the people of the South South have to show for voting the President? Nothing.” Tambuwal expressed concern that people from the South South may vote for the leader in 2015 elections based on the sentiments saying however that mere sentiments would not produce a good leader. Thus, the speaker urged people not to be deceived by sentiments. Source: www.naij.com/322229-tamwubal-explains-why-he-dumped-pdp.html |
For those who don't know, Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, is contesting in next year's presidential election. Below is what he said during his declaration at a rally on Monday Nov. 10th. “My people, in 2015 I will be the president of the country. Three months ago when I said I want to be president they asked, “Can an Igboman be president? But now when they count those contesting for president they will first count Rochas Okorocha, before Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and Kwankwaso. When they said they have zoned the presidency to the North, I asked, When was the meeting held? Now we have zoned it to Igboland. In 2015, there will be a turnaround in the fortunes of Ndigbo. They only know themselves; they don’t care about Igbo. APC is an emergency party for a new Nigeria; I would not have joined APC if PDP was doing well. We will defeat PDP in 2015,” Hehehehehe everybody wants to contest for president. Am also thinking of declaring my interest too ![]() |
There are reports that a female suicide bomber blew herself up this afternoon at the Federal College of Education Kontagora in Niger state. Fortunately she killed only herself, though several students were reportedly injured. This is quiet terrible, we all thought bombing has come to an end, but it has'nt. Pls let's remember to be careful and try to know those around us. |
Nawa for this country with political propaganda. Because visitors will be in abuja today from far and beyond cos of GEJ's public declaration, there has been light in abuja for the whole day. This has never happened before since his inception as the president. |
There's this gal I met 9months ago in my school. A very beautiful gal, shez 'every guys' choice, infact shez one of the hottest babe in th campus(IBB uni). Afta exchanging contacts, we've been good friends. My initial motive toward her is to date her, but I didn't rush my ambition towards her. I took my time 'planting' myself in her mind by calling her ATLEAST once everyday. Weneva I call her, we spend couple of minutes on the phone, we usually have a smooth conversation and I believe she alwys enjoy our conversation cos I try to create a sense of humor. I tried to be a friend of her friends(she has just 2 friend) and I succeeded to a great extent. In a nut-shell, here in my ordeal... For the fact that she obviously enjoys our conversation ova d phn, she has neva called me 4 once. At 1st, she dnt return my calls until I talkd to her abt it. She has never called me one day just to hear from me or just to say "Hi" it puzzles me. Atyms wen I call her, she'll tell me that she was just thinking abt me. There is 1 thing I sincerely love abt her, she doesn't lie no matter what. She tells u the truth not minding if it hurts. When I askd her if she has a boyfriend she told me no. She also told me that guys ar on her neck. My problem is this, I'm scared of throwing my dignity b4 her, asking her out and she turns me down abruptly... Pls how do I know if she loves me? Pls advice me on this 1, what shud I do? |
