Jayteew:
Guys I have a few questions
1. I got married this feb and have my marriage certificate , meanwhile my wife and I dated for 5 years. I will be applying for student visa next month as the main applicant with her as the dependent, will this by any chance be a problem? Since we barely just got married?

2. Is it absolutely necessary for her to do a change of name?

Thanks in advance
@ Jayteew no you don’t have a problem with that and doesn’t change anything . Just make sure when submitting your documents,. Include many proof like . Wedding picture . Wedding certificate from registry , include vacation pictures if u have , screenshots conversations that carry’s date or year .stuff like that sha . And if you have done introduction ceremony in past years u add the picture too.

Yes I tracked it this morning around 11:00am and saw moved to VAC, so I decided to head there without getting a collection email that at all at all we must settle it today. Got there around 2:30pm ish and wrote down my name for collection. As I was waiting with other people, collection email dropped.

That’s how I picked it up.

Was able to pick up within five minutes that the collection email dropped.

They have a lot of peoples passport there and they just update the tracker at the pace they like.

The passports were arranged on the collection table when the email dropped. I know because I was second in line to collect.
@ thanks for the detail information bro. Na to de use the days interval count and then try same and see what’s up. Congratulations !!!

claseek:
Good afternoon. I have a question pls
My school (OOU) only processes transcript online and only to organizations/institutions.

Now if I request for transcript to be sent to one uni and they don’t give me admission, that’s already a waste of money, and I can’t possibly pay to keep sending transcript to different schools, as I’d actually like to apply to more than one school. What if I request it to be sent to my workplace, I collect it and send to the university myself.

Will the universities accept it coming directly from me. Cos My school don’t send transcript to the student.

Or if you attended OOU (olabisi onabanjo university), pls how did you do your transcript ish
@ claseek … Try to re confirm this from your department. I finished from OOU and I got my transcripts and Infact it was stamped .
As for your second question, I believe if that’s possible thou , So far your document is genuine and can be verified as valid document. Don’t think you have a problem using it

Good Morning house
Please, I need more clarification on this please.
I plan on traveling to the Uk this September for masters. I initially wanted to go with my daughter, but she’s below 2 and was advised to leave her for now due to nanny expenses.
My question is how true is it that she won’t be able to join me after my study? Cos that’s the plan for now
We plan on processing just my own visa

@ delaveres either she’s 2 months old or she’s 1 years . She can’t join you after your study. It’s very hard and if you go through this thread well you will see a page someone posted refusal letter about it. It’s not advisable. I advice you process her visa and try as much to put her in a nursery if your school. They charge less and they allow kids from student and staff . All university offers nursery . To save yourself from future stress , Because it’s take much to convince and her visa for her Infact you can’t do it without lawyer and many more stress and it’s not guarantee. They stately made it know your dependent must be in the uk during your course to be able to benefit from your lost study visa ! That’s my little advise but I stand to be corrected

Ymcmbbb:
Good Afternoon all, I'll be starting my masters in September at the University of Derby and will like to know the estimated time, based on your experiences that I should pay my confirmation fee? I initially planned on paying in May but I'll like to know if May is safe as I read somewhere about a prospective student who waited months to get his CAS.

I plan on arriving in the UK by August.

Also, I have a child but was advised by my mum to initially leave her behind so I can settle properly and she will join me instead during the post study work period. Can I process her visa as I apply for my post study visa since she won't be applying with me this period? And for anyone currently in the Uk who has had similar experiences, how long did it take before your child/children were given visas?

I am a single mum btw and I have gotten legal ownership over her

Thank you for your responses.
@ Ymcmbbb . UK rules keeps changing every time and you can’t predict . But as of now the rule is if your dependent doesn’t join your during your Masters Visa and study , Your dependent won’t be able to join you during your post work study visa ! Moreso if your dependent apples after 6 month of your program. Your dependent won’t get same length of visa as yours . I advise since she’s your daughter. You can apply with her from beginning and then after some months you can come pick her before the validity expires .

I stand to be corrected thou ‘
