I am in a big mess at this point in my life. I have been suffering from low potency for months now. I don't get morning erection like i used to some 3 - 4 years back and beyond. The Kwara State Police Command yesterday uncovered another criminal hideout in Ilorin similar to Sokas in Ibadan, Oyo State, where many people were strangulated to death by criminals for ritual purposes in the state.
The hideout, according to THISDAY checks, which is an abandoned complex along the Lagos-Ilorin Expressway around the Ilorin International Airport area was said to have been used by suspected criminals for the murder, dismembering and sale of body parts.
THISDAY further gathered that the affected complex, with the inscription "For Sale" written all over it, is located near the NASFAT prayer ground, with a road separating the fenced building and the prayer ground.
Some of the items allegedly discovered in the six buildings of about 18 flats, said to be owned by an 85-year-old socialite, included decomposed human bodies, a decomposing headless body, decomposed human feet, snail shells, pieces of cloths suspected to be used in strangulating victims, bras, NYSC corps face caps, shoes, hijabs, caps, eye glasses, hand set covers and sandals, among other personal belongings.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin yesterday following the discovery of the criminal hideout, the state police commissioner, Mr. Ambrose Aisabor, said the command's special anti-crime squad, acting on "highly potent intelligence", coupled with the supply of information from members of the public, discovered the hideout at the weekend. Aisabor, who said no arrest had been made in the case, added that the aged socialite who allegedly owns the buildings and is suspected to be a native of Oro town in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, was being interrogated.
In a related development, the state police commissioner also paraded one Ganiyu Lawal, suspected to be an armed robber. He said the suspect removed a Toyota Camry with Registration Number Lagos APP 645 AN, from where it was parked in Ikorodu, Lagos.
He said the case was still under investigation.

My name is Victor. A graduate of accounting. I was posted to Borno as a corps member in the batch C of the NYSC 2012/13.
On getiing my call-up letter.. So this is the bad news i have been waiting for? Borno!
Borno State is a state in north-east Nigeria. Its capital is Maiduguri. The state was formed in 1976 from the split of the North-Eastern State. Until 1991 it contained what is now Yobe State.
The state is dominated by the Kanuri and Babur while few Shuwa Arab ethnic groups are found. Shuwa Arabs are mainly the descendants of Arabized Fulani people.
''The Home of Peace” the acronym fits Borno State well as the State is known for its peaceful and hospitable nature. However, this name has since 2009 bacome an irony and a shadow of itself.
As a result of it's 'peaceful' nature; a graduate posted to Borno for service is seeing as being thrown into the Den of Lion. I remember when i told a friend about my posting to Borno he immediately said ''forget about NYSC, forget about service''.
I was confused as every reaction to this ''ill-luck'' was never encouraging. But what has been done has been done. I have to take my faith.
Later on i was told relocation was possible.

The most painful thing at this time was not a posting to Borno anymore but in the call-up letter, Borno, Yobe, and Bayelsa are to go to their orientation camp three weeks after other corps members from other 33 states and FCT must have done theirs.
I remember a close friend will tell me on 2go they are the real Batch C while we are the ''Batch C (2)''.
Moreover, I have totally lost passion for the thing i really admired in my younger age. I mean those time when you look at so-called corpers as a 'little god'.
So confused and in my confusion I must develop adaptation to cope with this situation. Too sure.. i know my time.. It is beyond saying my time will soon come.
I was looking to the days. Who say those days will never come again? Three weeks was like three years. Although later on i completely lost the passion.
I remember the day of the swearing for the Batch C(i was still at home), reading from a newspaperstand at challange, ilorin I saw pictures of corpers on the front page of tribune. I was not keen to read and never read the headline. It must be news on the swearing-in, very sure. Let's forget about this service ''jare'', i thought aloud.
In my mind this people don't know i'm part of thes corpers ''fa'';''nawa o''. I left the place nicely disappointed.. Too jealous you may say.
This was an ill-luck. Why should this happened to me?

The woman is said to be the wife of a popular school proprietor in the area -the porpietor passed on Tuesday and barely two days after she was caught with another man.

After being caught, they were taken to the town’s oracle – oracle called “ALEKWU” which punishes married women who cheat on their husbands and also deters people from committing atrocities.

To punish the couple, the oracle instructed that them to walk the town naked to cleanse the land; after which the woman was sent back to her father’s house and banned from attending her husband’s funeral.

A number of Christian corps members have been slaughtered in the north for things that no sane person would call offence for d sake of islam. I remember the stories of Evelyn Tagbo and Christiana Oluwasesin, two graduates who served in Gombe state. One day Evelyn was going to invigilate a class. It was so sunny that she decided to walk her way to the class passing under a tree in d compound where unknown to her some Muslim students sometimes prayed. The students went after her n almost lynched her but for d timely intervention of the school principal.
Christiana Oluwasesin, a mother of two, who found herself in similar circumstance never lived to tell her story. She was invigilating a class when a student walked into d exam hall with her bag. Christiana collected d bagand threw it outside as exam rules didn’t permit students to take in their books. Immediately the student began to cry saying her Quran has been desecrated. Christiana never knew there was a Quran in the student’s bag, but before she could even explain that, d students have descended on her and with d help of fanatics from d village stripped her naked and stabbed her todeath.
Evelyn today blogs about the activities of Boko Haram, calling for government action to root out extremism in schools and for better protection of corps members serving in the north. She remembers with nostalgia how she would have died for what she knew nothing about. How many corps members have died under similar circumstances?
