You have a point, but I think commissioning of project or taking brief are a little to early mainly cos he is taking his time to understand the situation Nigeria found herself in and it is the smart thing to do, not just getting to office borrow money to start projects or paying salaries. Without understanding that most of the funds might end in the wrong hands, like ghost workers and corrupt gov't official.

GOD Bless Nigeria and everyplace else.

Thanks so much for your observation op.
I think its only people that have not left their places or deeply insecure that spew those stuffs on NL.
My fiancée is Igbo and I'm Yoruba. We will be getting married soon and there's nothing any tribalist can do about that TRUTH.
But those who that are deeply hating a particular tribe will continue to suffer for they will even reject my help on the days of their needs. They think those they hate are their enemies not knowing their enemies can be found in their mirror.

I still love my Igbo prospective in-laws.
Igbo Kwenu!!!!

You know, while reading your post just made me remember festac town then, with a beautiful mix of cultures. Playing table soccer, police and thief, four post, court soccer etc.

The LORD GOD Bless your Union as you both decide to spend rest of your life's together.

You made my day! Nigerians indeed love themselves, it is the elites that are creating divisive tendencies amongst us for political gains.
I can confidently say i am what i am today because of the love showered on me by a KALABARI and a FULANI MAN and thier family. Everything that goes up must come down, no doubt there is bitterness in the land orchestrated by the elites, but we could channel this bitterness against ourselves to productive use by recreating our environment and life using the principle of, Love thy Neighbour as thyself!

Very very true, the funny aspect is every Nigerian that shows hatred for the other tribe, when investigated would be found to have his very best friend from that tribe. If you confront him on that, he might end up telling you his different from everyone in their tribe.

We seriously need to build our institution on the prickles of Love thy neighbour as thy self.

GOD Bless Nigeria and everyplace else.

Rubbish!Continue to deceive yourself . The truth is that we dislike ourselves and we are just tolerating one another. Deep within our deep souls,we know that one Nigeria is a myth and several differences exist between all tribes.
A serious country would have had a robust discourse about these issues but no, we all turn the other way deceiving ourselves. You have a lot of stereotypes, negatively among all tribes in this country. A peep into the orientation camp during NYSC will give the perception about Nigeria and her people.

Thw question is do you have a childhood friend you grew up with from another tribe and how do relate with him, how feel about him. As for the orientation camp, if take a look at the article again you will u/stand I said that we are actually making them succeeding. Something we should never have allowed. The orientation camp example is one. When go to camp because we have allow the elite politician to brain us by believing the nonsense they say, we take that mentality to places we are posted and we show them distrust. Those that get the courage to interact or do business. see otherwise and they cement it with everlasting friendship.

All am saying here is, if the Elites wouldn't open discussion within the various tribes the Grassroot should do so. Thereby making the Elites looking like fools. No offence to our Elites though.

Nigerians at the grassroot level still love each other. I went to see a friend in the weekend when I came across some group of hausa guys that practice the traditional way of hair cuts. Surprisingly the person, whose having the haircut was an Igbo guy and some yoruba's. They were actually discussing, BIAFRA, Afenifere, Boko Haram laughing over it. Insisting that nigeria will overcome this challenges.

I couldn't help but reflect the Love we have for each other, amidst all this beckering and backing biting the Elites politicians do. You go to a face me I face you house in any state around Nigeria like lagos, Port Harcourt, Abia, Sokoto, Kano, down to Calabar. You would meet pa chinedu greeting his neighbour Malam Garba or playing draft with baba wale. Its awesome how we have come a long way but is allowing the Elites dictate, and spoil the love and bond our founding father started.
It's most unfortunate the lies are tiring us Apart.

Rest for me would like my children to experience the love, fight, reconciliation, gestation I had with my fellow, igbo, yoruba, ijaw, kanuri, igbira,hausa/fulani which I am and so on ( I would not forget then in school they call me Malam cos am hausa, I get angry but at end of the day I accepted it knowing it was love they were showing me.) for them to have that same childhood joy I had. GOD I Miss those days.
GOD protect our bond and restore our lost glory.

To add to all this, beneath all this falsehood this politician have been pedalling. Nigerians at the grassroot level love each other. I most say this article has got me thinking and there is every possibility this is true cause if I know America for one thing, they would not want to loose control of world as such countries wilding influence around her region are always a target to reduce her influence or strength. It calls for investigation by our own secret agents if at all we have any. Apart from the DSS.

Following the drama that trailed the confirmation of former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, at the senate on Thursday, Nigerians have taken to the social media to express their opinions on the senate procedure which ended in favour of Amaechi.

While some were satisfied with the way the process turned out, others however, expressed their dissatisfaction over the outcome of the confirmation exercise.

Recall that Senators of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, staged a walkout on the Senate President, Bukola Saraki in protest of his confirmation of Amaechi.

One of the opposition's big mistake. Putting DSP Ike ekweremandu's position in jeopardy

What permutations does he want to do, she got it right, he just united the APC including the senate president.

NgeneUkwenu this is exactly what said though I didn't think PDP was on downward stream which is obvious that's what would happen if they continue with the leadership of Akpabio as minority leader.
They had every opportunity to commit Ameachi but blew it and they are now making a baseless workout which would have know impact on the senate because they have been vindicated. The senate of the APC members did their Job and their colleagues in the PDP failed to do theirs.

There work is of no meaning right now, mainly because they had the chance show nigeria that he was indeed corrupt but they it out. Instead Amaechi showed nigeria and the world that he indeed governed PH following due process. How do they want to show nigeria that he mismanaged PH when had and it out. Opportunities comes but once.
The world only see his confirmation as justified, they have no excuse. They did not do what their people elected them do. Now APC has succeeded and they are staging a baseless workout. Its quite funny to me.
