Politics / Re: Governor Amaechi's Legacy In Rivers State by mandhi(m): 5:41am On Jun 11, 2016

Whatever happens in Rivers State, when kids in the future see a monorail that was budgeted at 150billion naira hanging out there in the air, covering a distance of only ₦50 (that is the cost of covering the distance now by bus or taxi), and they ask. What is this?
Their parents will have to tell them...

...There was once a governor called Amaechi

How about instead of making tax payers money go in in vain or rot the current governor completes the project. who benefits more? The governor or citizen of the state.
Even if the legacy of the monorail would be traced to Amaechi as the initiator, who completed it and commissioned it also matter as well. And all this to the benefit of the state. (Rivers).
Imagine most of the past development half way done by previous gov't and completed by current gov't. where Nigeria would be!!!!

Yes there has been some areas I have objections like
Taxation policy, appointment, fulani herdsmen and presidential jets not being commercialised (they still have time tho)

I feel there is a great desire, passion, will on the part of government to write the wrongs of yesterday . .. It's tale nothing to just build few things commission and get preasises.. . But I see a desire to change the system and correct the past and build a better Nigeria for the future

Baba I know it's hard cos me would have resigned (when people u are fighting for Donr appreciate it) but u stood ur ground

My our suffer today never be in vain
More strength to u baba
Bless your heart dude. It really frustrating when people tend look the other way to the goodwill of the gov't. The more frustrating is when some Nigerians pray for corruption to come back just so the get stollen money for free. Instead of praying for better society were the right people get the job and getting paid what's due to them as regards to getting anything and been told to manage it like that.

GOD Bless Nigeria and every place else

Seconded, and the obvious truth, If I was amaechi, I would not stoop so low to the atecedence of. Gov Wike. A person quarter of PH is regretting ever voting for him.
Am pretty sure many of the residents of PH just voted for PDP becos they are yet to trust the APC. An Election the APC should have used to change the minds of the resident but are following suit the direction of the PDP.

MrsPhyno:

I'm completely not angry. Far from it lol. I just think that you and other of this guys ardent supporters are not being realistic or rational. You so badly want to love your president but you forget that love is blind.

The anti-corruption measures are all well and good, but they are merely a facade to pretend to the people that he and his administration are doing something. There's no way he can charge or try everyone or let's say even anyone that has stolen Nigerias money. Alot of them are long dead, and of the ones still living for example, how do we know that people like Dangote too didn't steal "Nigerias money"? Or even the lovely Tinubu who helped put Buhari in power. So you can see it is a pointless and fruitless fight. Put there to trick the people and you can quote me on this lol. I would provide more examples but i hate ranting on this section.

Just read publications like the Economist and the New York Times, and know that there is a far larger conspiracy than you are aware of. Bigger powers are at work, not just the will of the Nigerian people. Buhari is the puppet/puppy/stooge for the Anglo-Saxon world. Britain and America want Buhari to focus on decimating Boko Haram, which is impossible (they are an islamic terrorist group, they will be here until Christ returns; the terrorists around the world including isis, has America destroyed them? No. Because it is impossible. And yet their country moves forward with more pressing matters like education and health reform because they know that that is what's gonna affect more people. Nigerians apparently aren't so wise. So they sent their boy on a fools errand so he will run around and not accomplish amything good in his presidency)
And they want him to end corruption which is utterly bogus because corruption occurs everywhere!! Even in the US especially among the so called 1%. Go study it. Even if Buhari wants anti corruption reforms, his point shouldn't be dragging back all the old looting babas and mamas but making it so that it cannot continue from this day forth. His presidency is so backward thinking, I'm sorry to say, like the man himself.

He needs to at least improve the electrical sector. Stop pandering to the wishes of the white world and "all these things shall be added unto him". Not corruption and boko haram. Light, water and jobs. Nigerians need to tell him that's what they want.

Sorry for the long tori grin
No this is more constructive and free of vices, a lesson I want some other wailers to learn. I agree with you on some issue above, like the complete eradication of corruption at one go. I also agree that not all the people around the president are saint.( this is why the corruption campaign is slow and seen like been one sided) but the truth is, his already the president and the bits we can do is pray for him, when deviates from the track due to the bad elements around his, put him back on track with constructive argument free of sarcasm and vices. Then we can all hope for a better nation called Nigeria.
As regard to the broadband conspiracy, I don't indulge in that argument, this does not mean am saying they not true or don't really happen I choose not to follow that all.
GOD Bless Nigeria and every place else.
Nice one above

Hope and optimism, key to perseverance and success. While sarcasm and negative thinking keys to failure.

Yes, because ultimately, the ECA account is been funded with the difference from crude oil sale. Investors other country including America are wanting to invest in their country due to their wealth.
As for the fuel scarcity hold the canals wanting status quote be maintained to enrich there selves at the detriments of nigeria.
