I obviously concur with you cos I don't understand how computer will mark letter writing and essays. This is more reason to be afraid. I genuinely think this is a wrong step in the right direction cos even our higher institutions and any University in this world still practice manual marking of essay.

You obviously don't know what you are saying, i bet you don't even know how the stuff will work out.

E-marking only solves logistics problems and it allows quick release of results. It also reduces cost for waec. .only waec will enjoy the benefits.

The students will be the ones to suffer because of variation of answers.. Manual marking will solve the problem of variation of answers but this e marking won't allow that because the marking templates would have been programmed into the system. The examiners just have to follow the template and score electronically. E marking has its own merits but the students will be the ones suffering from the demerits just like they are currently suffering from jamb demerits

Well, I have friends that got admission through DE into different Unis including UI.

You are OK except that D7 in chemistry. UI don't joke with O'Level o. I will advise you don't go for UI if you don't have at least C6 in all your five major subjects in waec.

Start thinking of the alternative sir, the form will be out by next month.
Please do u know if I have a chance of entering UI with a first class in Microbiology to study Medicine

Try DELSU.....they allow Medicine and Law through DE......as long as u re from delta state...
or u have vry high score in there post-de exam like 68% - 75 % u re in b it medicine or law.....weda u b from Ghana dem go gv u.....
