I've bought about 3 phones from AliExpress in the last 2years and never paid any custom duty.. I only pay from N200 - N500 to the postman depending on the phone's weight and how bulky it looks..
I think packages that attract custom duties are ones shipped via express couriers like DHL or FedEx but if you ship with AESS, I think you're in the clear. All you have to pray for is swift delivery

This $200 ISH is happening because of the stupid country we found ourselves in and our shit head leaders and their crappy policies that have devalued ₦ and unleashed unnecessary hardship on us..
I've paid the painful price by going for a second choice phone because my first choice is above $200.
My advice for you is to either look for someone you trust that uses a dollar account and make the payment, or alternatively look for a second choice phone below the $200 mark.. you can as well make the purchase locally if the extra amount wouldn't bother you.


On a second thought, if you can find the product in several stores, chat each seller. Maybe out of 5, 1 might opt to help you..

When you said a fake account, I chuckle, why would I open a fake account? I don't often comment here, I read messages most times as a guess. If you think that it is a fake account, I can post all my chats with you people on WhatsApp.

You have to tackle the issues that you are having with people, the complain from your clients is too much. Yes, thank God that your clients are increasing, but do they come back after using your service once? I know the number of people that I would have referred to you, if your services were a little above average.

They misplaced the item and they should be reasonable enough to apologise and send you either the item or the money for the item at NO EXTRA COST.

When I went through my items one of the items was missing, so I notified them about it but they initially said that they got everything but I insisted that one of my items was missing and they went through the order and said that the seller closed the order. So we had to place the order in another shop, the cost of the item that was missing was less than #1.5k, when it arrived after after about 2 weeks, they sent me a message to pay #2k+ and another #1k for waybill on an item that is weigh less than 0.5Kg and if it has arrived with the others I won't have spent a dime on it. That I should pay #3k+ for shipping and waybill for an item of less than #1.5k, who does that? The waybill that they did for me, they charged me #3.5K while they paid 2k to the transportation company. And I noticed that they inflate the weight of the items. Keep scamming people, nemesis will catch up with you soon.

Wow, this is exactly what i experienced with the last shipper i used, he charged me 5k for transport and my stuff was sent to another state entirely, inflated the weight of my goods and charged me so much, imagine shipping fee is like 75% of the total price of my order, i got into debt because of him, his name is lstar4real, very wicked fellow, i kept evidence of all that went down with the intention of dealing with him when I'm ready, since my last ordeal i haven't tried importing anything, he made my life miserable at that time.

Some of them are just out to scam people, you can imagine that, mine in the reorder that I did is more than 200%. Which is outrageous, so I had to leave the item for them.

They are pure scammers, just doing it in a coded way. Why would one send them 3k before they check the cost of the items that you sent them, if eventually there price is too much, you will forfeit your money. And besides, they add the local shipping cost before calculsting the 5% procurement charges, thereby increasing the cost of their service.

DID MMM ZIMBABWE COLLAPSED?

I will do my best to explain what really happened in MMM Zimbabwe in order to calm panics in the mind of misinformed MMM participants in 9ja. The press knows next to nothing on this matter.

MMM Zimbabwe offers 100% mavro growth in 30days. This was implemented to attract participants due to the economic hardship in the country. This mavro growth for those of us in business is called market penetration. Again their mavro was never frozen just like ours in Nigeria which multiplies for 15 days and also freezes for that long before withdrawal.

What happened in Zimbabwe is an implementation of what is already going on in Nigeria. MMM has seen that they don't need no market penetration to attract participants. They mavro growth is presently reduced from 100% to 20%. 10% below what we are getting in Nigeria (30%) for sustainability. And the mavro is also frozen for 14days just as its been done in Nigeria. The Nigerian Model works perfectly fine and MMM is trying to implement it globally. So there is no collapse of any structure, its just a remodelling of what is already in place in Nigeria.

Again this is what happened in south African in April. They reduced their mavro growth from 50% or so to 30% and 20% with other schemes like lotteries introduced. And I can categorically tell you that the South African MMM community is growing faster and better than ever after that change and reduction in mavro growth.

Some other points to note is: The writer of that piece, has absolutely no knowledge of how MMM works, and the main aim of it is to cause panic. Zimbabwe MMM is still going on even with the 80% decrease in mavro growth. Did anyone lose their money? NO. What happened is when u pledge 10k, instead of getting 20k reward in 30days, which is 100% reward, u get 12k which is 20% reward. They are still rewarded with 2k. In Nigeria we get 3k reward for 10k pledge. So did anyone lose their money? Absolutely not. Has it stopped MMM Zimbabwe from continuing? Not at all.

The Nigerian Model of MMM Works perfectly so let's keep it going?
