She's already taken her seat, she did right by coming down for you to take the middle seat.

That's the normal thing...and the smart thing to do security-wise.

Why should she allow herself be wedged between two guys?

What if it's planned work to kidnap her?

Abeg where the lady make give an applause jare.
I'm not a kidnapper and what if I'm also security conscious likewise.

I no the right thing to have done was get another taxi

Bro, I don't care about where I sit in a car as long as it takes me to my destination safely.
I have sat down in the middle on numerous occasions and it doesn't take anything from me. If I'm in a vehicle- whether I got there first- and someone comes through my side of the door,I automatically shift for the person to enter.
I accept I should have just overlook things no matter my feelings, but " madam please I didn't find your coming down for me to enter appropriate" cause her to start blowing up hot

I see a lot of peeps have misread my op while some reply without putting themselves in my shoes.

If reverse was the case, maybe by now I for dey abattoir dey answer for attempted kidnap

What make you think she is supposed to allow u sit by the window when she was actually there before you. What also make u think is ur right to sit by the window as man. If u meet anyone who decides to shift inside for u, fine and good, but have it in mind that is never your right. Personally, except I know that i will be going down so soon probably the next busstop that is when I can come down for anyone to sit at the middle apart from that i can even shift in for a small girl of less that 16 year to sit by the door, it doesn't reduce any thing from me.
The bolded is what I would also do. not come down without offering an explanation for why

I do this do at times and I always accompany such actions with an explanation to the person.

I actually dropped before her.
When I asked why she dropped for me to enter, shooting bullets instead of a telling me this is the reason would have been appropriate, don't you think.
That's just me and I it seems not everyone does.

By the way why are you even so bothered about sitting near the window for a journey that will last 3 hours at the most, and it's not even your own vehicle!
Actually a 20mins intra-city commute. From lugbe to jabi.

I have nothing against sitting in the middle and for me even if I'm the first at the back and I don't want to end in the middle,I always shift to the extreme end where people hardly board from

I'm trying to understand the reason you got upset. Was it because she didn't give up her spot for you? undecided

If that's the case, then you lack manners. Some people, myself included, sit next to the door for safety precautions in case an accident happens. Sitting near the door helps the person get out quickly.

If you wanted that spot, nothing stops you from asking politely instead of acting as if the lady committed a crime. Lord knows I would have ignored the hell out of you for acting so uncouth. undecided
Lol, I'm hearing this for the first time.

I understand your need for taking precautions and if you have me believe that you still board public transport, what will you do in a scenario where you are sitting by the door close to the curb and another passenger flags down the taxi, will you come down or shift.

she was already sitting on a spot when you got there, she left the door so that you can go in and sit, and she can then re-sit in her spot. That is how you should look at it . There is no rule that she should shift for you. No rule like that
Intra-city commute, it's not cool to do that especially in Abuja but if it's inter-state, I agree with you 100%.

If I get your point, you're expecting her to shift inside while you sit right? Who does that? You met her in a public transport and you are expecting her to sold her right for you, oh are you related or like I'm missing something here? Well, the lady has done nothing wrong but only protecting her right.
By the way how old are you as something is telling me you are an underage not to have no when you are wrong or not.
Bro, it's the norm.
If you board taxis here in Abuja very well especially along, you suppose get where I'm coming from.
I board commercial transportation alot as God never bless me with car yet, if I stop taxi or Keke to enter and passenger drop for me to enter I will of course be suspicious of such intention.
Well, thanks for your point.
