Before you people comment on things you don't understand do some research. Use Google. The fuss is that Trump is taking the world back to 1947 when we didn't even have computers. These retaliatory tariffs were the norm then. But they weren't helping anyone. These tariffs caused uncertainty in global trade leading to major economic dislocations.

Are these people cursed or what? The official minimum wage in the US is $7.25 an hour, though most employers pay more than this minimum. It means someone working for just two hours on this flat minimum wage earns at least $14 which is N21,000 in this illiterate man's calculation. This is just for two hours. If that person works a full 8 hours, that's 7×8 which is 56. In naira terms this will be N84,000. How many people in Nigeria can earn N2,000 in two hours let alone N21,000 or 84,000 a day? This is minimum wage o. Can someone therefore tell this m*r*n that many people in Nigeria cannot afford that N1,500 lunch because they're not earning enough to be able to afford it?

But people who talk like him don't seem to know what the Buhari regime brought to Nigeria, and which the present regime seems incapable of doing anything about. As I write this response, there are credible reports of northerners [it doesn't matter this time in what disguise they are - herders, hunters, or plain bandits] mass killing people in Enugu, Ondo, and Benue states. Nobody is talking about those killings. Why is there so much focus on the Uromi killing and not the other ones happening routinely across southern Nigeria carried out by people we all know too well? There's a lot of distrust and ethnic animosity in Nigeria at the moment that traveling from one's region to another with guns, whether those guns are for hunting or for banditry, can spark the type of unfortunate event that happened in Uromi. The so-called Nigerian politicians have been their usual illiterate, callous selves - giving the impression that the killings that worry them are those done to a particular set of Nigerians and not that done to others. Nigeria wasn't always like this. The government isn't doing much to assure people that they're safe in their own homes or that they can farm in peace. When a farmer defending his life and his farmland is sentenced to death for doing so, what exactly should people do otherwise?

What have Igbos done to Nigeria? What exactly is their sin against Nigeria that automatically makes them rhetorical and collateral victims of things they know nothing about?
