PoliticsAppeal Court Enugu Dismisses Jude Okeke Case Against Victor Oye by Mantissa89(op): 12:14pm On Aug 25, 2021
BREAKING NEWS:

UMEOJI/JUDE OKEKE SURRENDER TO OYE/SOLUDO AS COURT OF APPEAL ENUGU DISMISSES THEIR APPEAL AGAINST THE JUDGMENT OF HIS LORDSHIP, HON JUSTICE C C OKAA WHICH UPHELD THE DR VICTOR OYE LED LEADERSHIP OF APGA AND THE CANDIDACY OF PROF CHARLES CHUKWUMA SOLUDO.

A Special panel of the Court of Appeal sitting at Enugu and presided over by His Lordship, Hon Justice Monica Dongban Mensem, PCA today, 25th August 2021, struck out the appeal filed by Jude Okeke/Umeoji against the judgment of His Lordship, Hon Justice C C Okaa delivered on the 19th of July, 2021. The Court of Appeal further awarded a cost of #100,000.00 against Jude Okeke and in favour of Ozonkpu Dr Victor Oye

Hon Justice C C Okaa had on the 19th of July, 2021 delivered a landmark judgement upholding the leadership of APGA under the Chairmanship of Ozonkpu Dr Victor Oye and held that the National Officers of APGA elected at the National Convention of APGA held in Awka, Anambra State, are still lawfully in office and thus entitled to carry out the functions of their office including the nomination of candidate for the Anambra State Governorship election. The court further held that Chief Edozie Njoku and all those purportedly elected alongside him (including Jude Okeke) as well as any other person purporting to have replaced Chief Edozie Njoku, are not National Officers of APGA and cannot lawfully perform the functions of that office.

Recall that Jude Okeke had earlier appealed against the said judgment, which was struck out by the Court of Appeal, Awka Division in a well considered ruling delivered on the 2nd day of August, 2021. In a rather bizarre twist, Jude Okeke and Hon Umeoji had, through their lawyers, filed yet another application for leave to appeal against the judgment of Hon Justice C C Okaa. However, upon receipt of the Counter affidavit of Oye/Soludo in opposition to the incompetent application for leave, Okeke/Umeoji have realized the futility or impossibility of challenging the erudite judgment and decided to surrender.

It was gathered that the lawyers for Umeoji/Jude Okeke didn’t want to tarnish their reputation or embarrass themselves by being involved in frivolous court cases.

Consequently, the Special Panel of the Court of Appeal was faced with no further option than to dismiss the appeal.

Meanwhile, the news of the dismissal of the appeal today in Enugu by the Special panel of the Court of Appeal has thrown the members of APGA and indeed Ndi Anambra into jubilation. A cross section of APGA faithfuls interviewed were of the opinion that the instant judgment of the Court of Appeal has laid to rest the issues bordering on the validly nominated candidate of APGA for the November 6 governorship election.

The Court of Appeal, Kano Division had earlier made a pronouncement on the valid occupant of the office of the National Chairman of APGA and the person entitled to nominate the candidate of APGA in Anambra State. INEC, in obedience to the judgment of the Court of Appeal, has since listed Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the duly nominated candidate of APGA for the election.

PoliticsNEWS 2023: God Wants Igbo To Become Nigeria’s Next President – Ezeife by Mantissa89(op): 11:04am On Oct 06, 2020
Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a former governor of Anambra State, has said God has approved the emergence of a Nigerian President of Southeast extraction.

Ezeife asserted this on Monday in Awka, Anambra State during a summit for the grand opening of the Global Movement for Igbo Presidency 2023.

The elder statesman noted that people of the Southeast are change agents who believe in developing any region they find themselves.

He stated that the Southeast makes Nigeria looks like a nation, hence should produce the next president in 2023.

“It appears God in heaven is saying it is time for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction. Other Nigerians seem to believe in Igbo president more than the Igbo people.

“Igbos are the development agents of Nigeria. We make Nigeria look more like a nation. We believe culturally in developing any part of the world we find ourselves in.

“We deserve to be given a chance and I am glad that our people in diaspora and from other tribes unanimously agree that an Igbo president is what Nigeria needs to take the next strides towards development,” Ezeife said.

Recall that the former governor had stated that the Southeast was ready to go on knees in begging to be allowed to produce Nigeria’s next president, in 2023.

PoliticsA Moment With Mantissa On Buhari's Economic Bruhaha by Mantissa89(op): 12:46pm On Jul 24, 2019
Good morning Nigerians and welcome to what I call 'Brief moment of reality with MANTISSA'.

Let's take some minutes and forget about arguing on Facebook and Twitter, let's face facts.

I know your monthly salary is determined by how much you refuse to understand what I am about to say, but let's assume you have a free ten minutes to understand.

You love Buhari because he is allegedly fighting corruption, fine, but let's take few minutes and see the economic impact of his corruption fight.

The first bill here is our N5 note. As at today, that note standing alone cannot buy anything in the Nigerian market. When I say anything, I mean absolutely nothing. It can't buy hot sachet water, it can't buy a pack of match box, it can't buy ordinary TomTom, nothing. So if you have it just one, it is a very useless artifact to you. To spend it, you must embark on a mission of unlikely fruition to find another of it so you could buy at least a sachet of pure water or any other meaningless thing thr seller agrees to get rid of.

And your president just won another term.

The second bill is the $5 (5 US dollar note), which is equivalent to N1802. That note standing alone can buy you a moderate lunch at work for 5 working days (assuming the moderate lunch is sold at N300 per lunch). It won't stop there, it will also ensure you have every of your lunch with a cold bottle water of N50 for each of those working days.

And your president has integrity.

The third image is the 5 euro note, worth N2008. With that, you can decided to take a friend out for lunch for 5 working days, you may only need to bring down your budget to N250 per lunch so you can fully accommodate your friend, and maybe once or twice use sachet water instead of bottled water. But you and your friend will eat to your satisfaction per lunch day.

And your president is tall and has gap teeth.

Finally, the last but not the least image there is the 5 British pounds note, equivalent to N2242. That bill can see that you and your friend have your full lunch everyday without compromising your choice of bottle water for 5 working days. By this I mean, you can always have your N250 lunch and still choose (not forced now) whether to drink sachet or bottled water.

And your president was able to get your votes simply because he drank sachet milo during campaigns.

Ps: Exchange rates as used in this post are from today's live rates at the forex market.

It is not everyday you wake up to start bashing the president and his clueless policies. Some days, we just have to take a practical assessment of the economy as it is today. President Buhari is not doing enough to reposition Nigeria economically on a favorable and viable position.

Those who championed the cause for his second term did that solely and clearly for their own selfish interests and never in the interest of the Nigerians.

Dear Buhari defender, I urge you to go through this post critically, without some biased or prejudiced sentiments. You will definitely see why I say that Buhari will leave Nigeria worse than he met it.

After 2023, may Buhari or something similar to him never happen to us again.

Thank you for coming to my moments with MANTISSA. Nigeria is ours to love, to serve and to defend.

Ka e mesịa!

CultureCivil Ways To Communicate By Mantissa by Mantissa89(op): 10:50am On Apr 13, 2019
CIVIL WAYS TO COMMUNICATE (Pragmatics)
1. Instead of saying you are lying say THIS IS NOT TRUE
2. Instead of saying this post is fake say ARE YOU SURE OF THIS?
3. Instead of saying you are wrong say THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE
4. Instead of saying you will be punished say THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES TO THIS
5. Instead of saying I am talking and you are not paying attention say I WILL LIKE TO GET YOUR ATTENTION
6. Instead of saying I don't have your time say I WILL LIKE TO END THE CONVERSATION NOW
7. Instead of saying what you are saying does not make sense say IS THERE ANY OTHER OPTION THAN THIS?
8. Instead of saying what you are doing is bad say THIS BEHAVIOR IS INAPPROPRIATE
9.Instead of saying this child is a slow learner say THIS CHILD IS AN UPCOMING LEARNER
10. Instead of saying " get out from here" say PLEASE IT WILL BE APPRECIATED YOU LEAVE THIS PLACE.
SOME SOCIAL RULES THAT MAY HELP YOU:
1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something important to attend to;
2. Return money that you have borrowed even before the other person remembers lending it to you. It shows your integrity and character. Same goes with umbrellas, pens and lunch boxes;
3. Never order the expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner. If possible ask them to order their choice of food for you;
4. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ Or why don't you buy a car? For God’s sake it isn’t your problem;
5. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior. You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public;
6. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying next time;
7. Respect different shades of opinions. Remember what's 6 to you will appear 9 to someone facing you. Besides, second opinion is good for an alternative;
8. Never interrupt people talking. Allow them to pour it out. As they say, hear them all and filter them all;
9. If you tease someone, and they don’t seem to enjoy it, stop it and never do it again. It encourages one to do more and it shows how appreciative you're;
10. Say “thank you” when someone is helping you.
11. Praise publicly. Criticize privately;
12. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will;
13. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next;
14. If a colleague tells you they have a doctors' appointment, don’t ask what it’s for, just say "I hope you’re okay". Don’t put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness. If they want you to know, they'll do so without your inquisitiveness;
15. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rude you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect;
16. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude;
17. Never give advice until you’re asked;
18. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their age and salary;
19. Mind your business unless anything involves you directly - just stay out of it;
20. Remove your sunglasses if you are talking to anyone in the street. It is a sign of respect. Moreso, eye contact is as important as your speech; and
21. Never talk about your riches in the midst of the poor. Similarly, don't talk about your children in the midst of the barren.
I HOPE IT HELPS.

HOW SAD FOR THE YORUBA NATION

By Lawal Ade Adeyemi

Did the Igbos put guns on anybody's head before buying up Alaba, Ajegunle, isolo and Oshodi in Lagos?

Did they use juju before the Ibadan surrendered Iwo Road to them?

And what were we looking at before the Igbos took over Isida and Adeti in Ilesa ?

Where were the YORUBAS when the Igbos thrived and built 90% of the Hotels in Abuja. Was there a law that excluded the YORUBAS from selling building materials? Dei Dei building materials market in Abuja is 90 % Igbo owned.

So the more we point one finger at the Igbos, the more we have the other four fingers pointing at our laziness and lack of initiative as a society.

The YORUBAS should have been better with all our education, but we may be worse than the Fulanis who just roam around the bush.

Why? Because we lack the entrepreneurship spirit. We just want salaries from doing 8am to 5pm job. We proceed in foolishness and we persist in hoping to reap plenty without sowing hard. The Igbos are different, hence we are now jealous and envious.

We love wasteful parties and Aso Ebi. Just a little business without even making any profit yet, we usually call musicians to spray money like coffetti .

Where are all the Board Members of Ebenezer Obey today? Where is lawyer Omoyinmi and Lanre Badmus? Where is Oroki Social Club of Osogbo? Where is Felates of Ilesa and the likes whose trade mark was to bring Sunny Ade to Ilesa every Xmas, to waste all income gathered for the year?

The Yoruba society wasted their leading lights on excessive consumption and wasteful attitudes. We wasted our capital on frivolous social gatherings.

We took religion to ridicoulous levels, such that the wealthiest pastors and churches are now Yorubas. But all the wealth extracted by the churches from the Yoruba nation is also merely flaunted to show whose God is the most miraculous.

So we have become paupers and destitutes, as the Yoruba nation cannot now pay salaries. Pensions are owed for years.

Tell me, is Osun State filled with human beings or goats to have tolerated Aregbesola, when they rejected Akande. Say it loud, is the Constituted Authority of Ibadan sane to just bring about 21 Obas from nowhere to receive salaries, where there is no money to reopen Ladoja Akintola University?

Are the Ondos so wise to have allowed Mimiko to devastate their terrain as to be now saddled with 12 months salary arrears? What of Ekiti with rabble rousing Fayose and the intellectually arrogant Fayemi?

But the Igbos are hard workers. Let us not continue to deceive ourselves. 20 of their young boys can live in the shop from where they sell goods. There is no place too dirty or remote for them to hibernate and incubate their ideas. Give them 5 years, you will see them buy and take over all shops and lands.

True, some of them are criminals, but majority of the Igbo youths build and build physical structures always, while the YORUBAS are content with looking for salaried jobs, so that they can have siesta in the afternoons and then attend parties on Saturdays. Then spend Sundays in church wishing and praying for divine miracles.

How foolish! As the Igbo youths are meeting and strategizing on Sundays, so that they can gather money and buy the houses and lands owned by our Yoruba fathers, the Yorubas youths are busy in churches on Sundays praying for miracles.

Whether we like it or not, Obokungbusi Town Hall will soon be on concessional PPP sale. The Igbos will buy it. The proceeds will be used to pay backlog of salaries owed to impoverished Ijeshas. It will come willy nilly.

It will happen even in a declared Oduduwa Republic. Afterall, the Chinese, the Lebanese and the South Africans are buying us out with reckless abandon. See how ShopRite is buying up everywhere. I heard that they bought Owena Motel estate in Akure. How come we did not sell it to the Igbos?

We shall continue to grumble and hate the Igbos until eternity. Unless we spy on them, copy their ways and imbibe their 'can do' attitude.

The Yoruba nation and society have been pauperised and destituted. In desperation, we shall soon start to behave like the Almajiris in the North.

In grinding poverty and out of jealousy, the Almajiris of the North regularly loot Igbo shops and businesses. Very soon Yoruba urchins will start looting too to show that they hate the Igbos.

Even some of us here will defend it to show our hatred for the Igbos. Whereas, the looting is as a result of hunger and uselessness of our society.

How sad for the Yoruba Nation.

It could be a currency exchange at the bureau de change who knows. Atiku with no immunity was sharing $5000 in rivers state yet no one questioned his dirty wealth, all they do is shout Atikulate on social media. The igbos are at the fore front of this media blackmail against the governor because of their fear of massive Kano votes awaiting president Buhari. With the information here, if not for tribalism and regionalism in Nigeria, I will say someone like Peter Obi should actually be the President of Nigeria already.
Read the below revelations from Peter Obi:
His quotes that set the internet on fire...
As Governor, I left N75billion saved for my successor.
"To you young people, Take Back your Country...it is your future they are toying with". - Peter Obi
"I reduced my convoy to 5 vehicles and you cannot buy fuel unless I am in the car".- Peter Obi
"If I sleep in a hotel and have to pay N250k a night, I will be awake all night...feeling like I was robbed". - Peter Obi
"You know there are many big men in Anambra state, so when they want to see me, I say to them I will come to you instead".- Peter Obi
"We handed schools back to Churches and by 2013, we were number one in WAEC."- Peter Obi
"I beg you to participate more in politics, the society we help them abuse today will take its revenge tomorrow".- Peter Obi
"The only way out of recession is to spend for growth. You can only spend for growth either from savings or from borrowing.
The question is: what are you borrowing for?
Are you borrowing for consumption or for production?
When you borrow for consumption, you are heading for disaster." - Peter Obi.
" I had to stop the Presidential lodge in Anambra... A project awarded at 400million. I had to close down state house in lagos and Abuja... Because I felt we dont need it.... Even when other states had."
" They said President Obasanjo is coming... I went to borrow the kind of cars they wanted... Instead of spending millions... From a neighbouring state."
"I requested Obasanjo to spend the nights in my lodge Since they said he must sleep over... I asked my wife to pack out of my bedroom... We went opposite to lodge in a hotel (name mentioned) for the week, we paid N30,000 instead of N100,000."
"I used the 150million for 2 bullet proof cars to buy almost 50 Peugeot cars at 3 million each.. gave 17 to JUDGES and 18 to permanent Secretaries (because i discovered they did not have cars) and kept 10 for govt house... which I used as Governor... I did not use bullet proof cars as Governor."
"They said we should attend world Igbo Congress in U. S.... That the budget WAS cut from 40 to 32million.... I asked them why... That only one person should go and come and tell us what was discussed."
"Instead of paying 30,000 for each security personnel (about 30) per night in Abuja, I told IG to give me Police whenever am in Abuja....I travel alone... People complained.... The 15 drivers lodged in Abuja state house...who come to airport to cause confusion, i asked them to go, kept only 3. The others to go back to Akwa or look for job... I asked the cook to go back to Akwa instead of giving him 30,000 per plate."
"When Governors lodge and Govt house was burnt before I came... With budget of 400million and 300 million, I repaired them for 42 million and 80million respectively. They wanted to impeach me that I did not spend by due process... Following the awarded Contracts and contractor.... I saw a table.. That my predecessor used, they said its old... I asked them to renovate it... That all i needed was a table to write as Governor... "
"So so so I was able to save money and made sure that ANAMBRA HAS THE BEST ROAD NETWORK THAN ANY OTHER STATE IN NIGERIA....."
PETER OBI....WORDS ON MARBLE! "

PoliticsChris Uba Speaks On Why He Is Contesting Against His Brother by Mantissa89(op): 11:15am On Oct 08, 2018
A senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra South Chris Uba has said his brother Andy Uba has overstayed at the Senate.
Chris said this on Friday in Awka the Anambra State capital where he noted that his brother who is going for a third term in the red chambers, should take a bow.
“My brother has been there for eight years and must take a bow now,” he said.
“I pray for my brother to go higher; he can become a governor or vice president but not a senator again.
“It is now my turn. I want him to throw in the towel because the fight is going to be very serious.”
He added that he wants to “run because we have been sponsoring politicians in Anambra State and across Nigeria.
“I have been doing that and a lot of people have passed through my school.
“But they call us godfathers, we have made case several times for the party to make some provisions in the party’s constitution to protect godfathers, but no way, no provision.
“The truth remains that godfathers are closer to the grassroots. A lot of people depend on us, a lot of families depend on us and many families today are hungry.
“But after sponsoring politicians, immediately they get to Abuja, you can’t get them on the telephone again, nobody will see them again, they buy all choice cars and the next thing they will blackmail you.
“Little thing, they will start fighting you, they will say they’ve known the President, they’ve known the party chairman and as a godfather, you are in trouble.
“So, now we need to occupy offices to protect our position and the positions of our people. That is why I am running for the Senate.”
