Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room has called on the National Assembly leadership to urgently summon President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to explain the circumstances that have led to widespread killings in the country.
The call became necessary following the brutal killings of harmless protesters by armed security forces at Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.
The Civil Society Situation Room is also concerned about the mobilization of armed thugs against the protesters and wanton destruction of property across the country without police intervention
constancefriday: Let the Truth be said: the EndSARS is no longer to be regarded as a PROTEST it's a generic breakdown of law and order. We call on our Youths to refrain from taking part in such destructive and criminal procession. Like i've said in previous videos, the root cause of EndSARS are worse than the breakdown of law and order, which we're currently witnessing across the country. The Security agents and Military are yet to act most likely because innocent civilians are mixed up in the crowd with hoodlums. Sincerely hope for a restoration of peace, law and order.
Protesters in Benin are now on rampage. They broke into the prison and freed criminals. They then took it further by attacking 3 police stations. This is no longer a protest but an assault on law and order. We must collectively demand for an end to the protest immediately.
did they set building ablaze? Did they cart away weapons and ammuntion?
Go to Edo state now and see how the same yooots are abusing power. If you are too busy protesting and you are not close to the location, you may ask anyone there to confirm this for you. Youths are seriously extorting motorists and nobody is doing anything about it. What makes you different from them?
IMAMofWAR: stop this rubbish, no sympathy for any arm robber or killer cultist that gets killed. what of the jungle justice happening in calabar? what cant you stop that? may una leave this woman abeg
