omoharry: You are right. seriously, sometimes I fear for the future because of the orientation of our youth this days. some here on nairaland lack the ability to discern information before reacting to them. They follow political parties blindly without thinking that these parties do not fight the other opposition for the good of the common man.To you APC AND PDP suppoters, how many times has your party ever criticize the other party and the system of the outrageous salaries and benfitit they collect on a monthly basis? How many times has other APC members call for the reversal of the huge pension benefit for all Lagos state governors and their families that they will get after they leave office?. That was why they were silent over Governor Akpabio Pension benefit which was later reverse because APC is guilty of the same thing. Thirdly, we have been shouting and calling on our legislatures and other government officials to cut down on their huge salaries and allowances, how many times has the APC party launch out to criticize this issue since they are very good in Criticize almost everything. They will remain silent over this because they are also benefiting from the rot and corrupt practices in this areas but would cry to the high heaven for trivial things that are of no benefit to the citizens. Yet, some ignorant youth will be here supporting them and even ready to die for them. You GUYS better think of what you are doing right now and start realizing that APC and PDP are the same thing. They are partners in crime when its time for money sharing since together they at peace with the wrong outrageous policy that allows them to collect urge salaries , allowances and pensions at the expense of the Nigerian citizens but are enemies outside this areas. My fellow youth Open you eyes and stop mortgaging your future and that our our children for a cheap pot of porridge. cudnt agree more...even d ones with degree are nt educated! Almost 30% of our budget goes into recurent expd...its so sad realy very sad, yet our youths will come NL and say tinz dat are disheartenin |

Omimah: If Ebola had come in through other states other than Lagos or Rivers state, it would have spread like wild fire. The proactive governors of those states, that of Lagos especially, was going about with his Commisioner of Health and health workers whom he was able to recall in the face of their strike. war against ebola was won by d people and by God...because i cant imagine a disease transfer by body fluid dat wont spread like wild fire in lasgidi, if u stay in lagos and d kind of transportation in d state, u will agree wit me dat ebola was eradicated by efforts of all Nigerians and God nt any governor or presido! Infact Na God o. And its jst so painful to read tru all d comments on dis thread and all i see are lost Nigerians. Politics › Re: FG To Purchase Three Aircraft From Czech Republic For Border Patrol by manutdadex(m): 6:54am On Oct 15, 2014 |
msmon: Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro Senator Iroegbu, Adedayo Akinwale and Iribest Madaki in Abuja Despite the frustration Nigeria has faced attempting to procure military hardware from the United States and some of its allies for the prosecution of the war against Boko Haram in the North-east, the federal government said yesterday it had concluded arrangements for the purchase of three aircraft from the Czech Republic to combat the menace of terrorism in the country. The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro disclosed this yesterday in Abuja, while playing host to the Czech Republic Ambassador to Nigeria and his team. Moro said aside from strengthening bilateral relations, the visit would also foster cooperation in taming the menace of terrorism in the country. According to the minister, the reopening of the Nigerian Embassy in Prague by President Goodluck Jonathan underscored the determination of the president to widen the scope of investment and international cooperation between the two countries He noted that this had underscored the desire of Nigeria to strengthen the economic relations with the Czech Republic with Nigeria’s appointment of Mrs. Catherine Okon as the Nigerian ambassador to the country. He said: “Let me state here that at the moment Nigeria has been grappling with the insurgency in the Northeast, and I am happy to note that as a result of my visit to the Czech Republic and the willingness of the country to cooperate with Nigeria in terms of fighting terrorism, we have proposed to purchase from the Czech Republic three aircraft for border patrol and management. “Therefore, there is need for us to work together in fighting terrorism, which is a global issue and manifesting strongly in Nigeria. Let me also state that the government of Nigeria is determined to win the war against terrorism.” Moro revealed that with the approval by relevant authorities, the aircraft would be purchased in the no distance future to complement the efforts of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in combating border crimes and security of borders to safeguard Nigeria’s interest. The minister revealed that his visit to Czech Republic last year saw a Nigerian that was incarcerated in a prison in Prague released on his intervention, stressing that it further went to demonstrate the determination of the two countries to work together in areas of mutual interest. He stated that in 2003, 28 Nigerians were languishing in various prisons in the Czech Republic whom he sought to be transferred to the prisons back home. The areas of mutual interest that could be explored by both countries was highlighted by the minister to include: possibility of transfer of prisoners, visa waivers between the two countries and other travel documentation, immigration and consular services, and internal security and border management. Earlier, the Czech Ambassador to Nigeria, Pavel Mikes, said the cooperation between both countries went beyond the insurgency, stressing that his country would be willing to cooperate with Nigeria in the area of border control and training. He said expatriates from his country would be sent down to Nigeria to help train the officers in handling the aircraft and provide other training programmes as regards to boarder control. abeg we need those aircraft sharpally |

xfire: A BSc in chemical engineering is enough to get you into the oil industry. I have only a BSc in engineering, and I have worked in 2 oil firms. There are many BSc holders (without MSc) in the oil and gas industry.
However, it is sometimes good to go for MSc before gaining work experience especially if you are still young (< or = 23 years) and it is on scholarship. It is harder when you get the 'dream' job as a BSc holder to think of obtaining an MSc except if you try online programmes. In addition, MSc can help provide more guidance in your career path. Some oil firms also prefer fresh MSc holders in some fields e.g. most entry level positions in reservoir engineering, subsea engineering, geoscience and even drilling engineering are filled by MSc graduates in some notable oil firms in lieu of experience. But like I said, it is not compulsory to have a masters degree. wat advice do u av for a b.tech in remote sensing and gis holder? And any extra certification to boost career |
