A big no no ..... because your date of application submission is important and used for forex calculations and you must have had the money 28 + days by the date of application
sorry but this "date of application" is it the date you submit your application online/book online or the date you submit at the embassy.

My friend, uni you attend in the UK has got nothing to do with getting a job. What you know and can bring to the table is what determines if you get a job. Employers are after what you have to offer not what degrees or uni you attended.

ohh sorry guys if my post rubbed off the wrong way didn't mean to offend.
cheers.

Slimmzyy:

Just as an advice, please don't go to any of those universities if your plan is to work in the UK after graduation.
Slimmzyy:
, if you check the UK universities ranking, you will see that Edge Hill University is down there, and as an international student hoping to work in the UK after graduation, you want to go to a school that would increase your chances of getting a job and give you a bit of competitive advantage over local students. The job market is highly competitive and top employers are keen on students from Top 20/30 universities. please do your research and make informed decisions that would help you on the long term.
VERY, VERY TRUE, always go for top unis if you intend on working in the uk after your studies.
they are quite expensive but they also give you an edge in the job market.

Some schools have a deadline to which they will stop issuing CAS. The latest one week to resumption if what I have seen . If his fund is maturing on the 15th that is less than one week.

Also such late submission works best if the plan is to use super priority and travel shortly so I think he needs to first confirm with the school if CAS will be issued
Yes CAS will be issued, but with the suspension of priority visa, he dosen't know how his visa application will come out before the school resumes, even with the extended resumption date which will be max a week or 2 after the original resumption.
are there any other ideas to help or should he withhold the payment and defer.
the school is university of nottingham.

There’s no need to call the embassy, the only issue is you might have to start classes online while your visa application is being processed.

New vignettes will have a duration of 90 days which means you can travel once your visa has been approved.

Ps: Make sure you are about 80% or 90% certain your application will be “straight forward” after submission before you make deposit payment oooo.
Can the embassy grant a visa even after date on of resumption in the CAS has passed even tho you submitted a week or two before the date

Hi

Just to add

1. He should immediately notify the school on his inability to get a date and the school will advice on a new CAS and/or new date of resumption, and /or Online option etc

2. There is no idea on when priority visa will resume

3. The embassy can't advice on the decision he as to take, you can try calling if in doubt https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk
that's the link

4. Again, he could pay the deposit, start online and resume later when he has gotten his visa but all this depends on the school. His school should be his first point of call

5. Remember the maintenance funds have to remain intact

Cheers

hi thanks for the response, if he asks for the late resumption max he will be given is 2 weeks visa takes 3 weeks, the account mature on the 15 hopefully thing will calm down by then, assuming earliest date he'll get is 21th, then embassy stay with the passport for 3 weeks till 9 october. by then the late resumption given on his CAS has passed.
is it possible that the embassy might still grant the visa even after the resumption date on the CAS has passed.

HI a friend of mine has an issue.
he applied for and has gotten admission but he just started keeping the needed fund in his sponsors account today, the fund will mature on the 15th is September. the school resumes on the 21st, but with the way dates are unavailable, he might not be able to get an interview date close to the date the account matures.
He was hoping to do priority visa, but it has been suspended for now, he wants to ask the school to let him resume late and put a later resumption date on his CAS.
someone advised him to call the embassy and narrate his situation but there is no number to call online if you have any number please kindly send it my way.
Please what do you advise he do next should he go ahead and pay the deposit with hope that priority visa will resume or should he defer his admission.
Gurus in the house pls help!!!

You've been out of secondary school since 2015 which is 4 years now. its going to be an issue. The VO will think if you can't get admission to a public uni and still did not get admission to private uni how will you be able to afford 47k dollars for schooling in america. The 4 years between 2015 and now is enough to complete an undergraduate degree. The VO will want to know why you've been out of school for so long if u can afford private why didn't you go and if u can't afford it how will you be able to afford america. adding all this up the vo begins to suspect foul play. My 2 cent advise it to do your undergraduate here in nigeria and if your still interested after that you can proceed for your msc in the united states. But if you still intend on trying for a visa i will advice you write the SAT.
dimejalex:
the deficit is 47000$ I did not write sat i graduate in 2015 the school is East Tennessee state university for my bachelor degree in business managerial economic am 21year
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by marcDgreat(m): 4:24pm On Jul 11, 2019
Please before re-applying think thoroughly
Firstly, you are going for a degree in social affairs and educational justice( to be honest i have not heard about a degree like this but its ok)
Also you are going to claremount graduate university( i also have not heard of dis school but there are about 4300 unis in America so this is ok as well).
Total fees for the school is 47k in tuition and 21k living expense plus 2k in insurance which puts your total bill at around 70k per year!!! duration is two years so cost is around 140k!!! you where also not offered any assistantship.
And also SOA of 34m naira =92k using 370 to 1 dollar(embassy rate). To be honest that school is too unknown to charge such high fees. if it was harvard or stanford its understandable but for a university that is not even an R1 on the carniege classification. i think you made it too easy for the VO to deny you. please do research before applying to schools trying and look for another school, to be on the safe side. But still i wish you the best.

An agent also did my filled ds 160 for my first visa interview and wrote a whole lot of nonsense...as expected i was denied. it was only be Gods grace that i scaled through.Firstly a reputable MBA program is usually quite expensive and i don't think they are very generous with MBA scholarships. If an MBA is what you decide on i believe you should write GMAT and i hope you have a BSc. Then you can start applying to good schools if you get admission please please and please fill the ds160 by yourself, also do a lot of research about the school and when you get to the VO express yourself with passion and keen interest. As for the previous filling done by the agent all u can do is pray cause the VOs sometimes look at the previous filling. Thats all i can say for now. Wish u the best.
Petersburg94:
OK thanks sir. What do you suggest I do? the first visa application wasn't done by me. It was one stupid agent that did rubbish.
Is there any correction that could be done?

Also the school didn't require Gmat result since I was able to provide a proficiency certification from my school.
Feel free to advice me on what to do. Thanks

My Intention was not to discourage but to advice. Most reputable MBA programs usually require gmat and that is the standard and the VOs know this if you come to them for an mba without gmat they are likely to deem you unserious, Business schools are expensive so it is expected that you know and do all research when looking to go for an mba.Usually schools that don't require gmat for admission are usually low ranked or even blacklisted schools. My advice for applying for mba programs is to write GMAT and only apply to the top 50 or top 100 schools using us news and world report you can check for them and also tally your gmat score with the average score of their admitted class. But there are also some instances here on nairaland that people get approved without writing gmat. All in all wish you the best in your interview tomorrow hope you can share the outcome with us. As for advice on what to do just simply say the truth if asked about the gmat " your school did not require it ".
Milnes:

Why are you talking about GMAT with Business course the way you do. Watch it! Its so discouraging. He just mentioned that the school didnt require any test but he did a virtual interview with the school. Are you saying he should have gona to write a test that wasnt required by the school He is applying to? I have my interview tommorow, mba, no test was required by my school, gmat, toefl, ielts, or any exam. Although i have an expired toefl. So what do you advice i do or say when im being asked if i took any test for the coursr im applying for?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by marcDgreat(m): 8:26am On Jul 07, 2019
I think this is adequate for undergraduate as you are not expected to have broad research knowledge, know professors etc. where issues might arise is. did u write any standardised test?
Your age?
and if the sponsor account is a business account.
Just work on the "why the united states " question

Was curious as to why your interview was so short and immediately went through your page and it is obvious that your denial was due to several mistakes that you made filling your first ds160 and also in your first visa interview which was not coherent the previous VO noted some issues and i think the recent VO saw and decided to refuse you. sorry but you were not prepared enough and your story was inconsistent in your first interview which has been noted in their system. All the new VO had to do was read through the previous of notes of why you were previously denied and deemed you an immigration risk leading to the denial. Also your going for an MBA without writing GMAT that is a not a very good sign, and rarely will a ranked MBA/ Business school will consider your application without GMAT. Do enough due diligence and research don't just apply because VO's know how the american education system works. But still Goodluck whatever u intend to do next.

Petersburg94:
Hello everyone, gurus and bosses in the house.
I had my interview on the Monday 24th of June, 7am. I was interview by a young lady at Window 1. I was refused.

This was the conversation we had

Me: Irvine California

VO: What program and how did you get to know about the School
Me: Masters of Business Adminstration and Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. Through an alumni of the school who's my dad's friend's son

VO: Why do you want to study this course
Me: I need access to large business networks, this program will help me to with more knowledge and understanding to innovate, create ideas to form a successful business and also to help an existing business to grow and expand.

VO: How many schools did you apply to
Me: 2

VO: Did you take any test?
Me: No, it wasn't required but I had a virtual interview before I was given an admission

VO: Who's Sponsoring you
Me: My brother

VO: Why your brother?
Me: My dad's late so he's in charge of the family business and has money.

VO: I see you've been here before, is there anything you want to add
Me: Well the last time I was still having my NYSC so I think that's why I wasn't granted but now I'm done, I want to further my education.

VO: I'm sorry you're not qualify then she gave me a pink paper

Please is there anything wrong with my answers. Why was I not given?
Kindly help out. I plan to go again

Thanks

SORRY BUT YOU MADE A HUGE MISTAKE !!!
a Us visa is used for entering and leaving the united states and does not need to be renewed as long as your wife was a student and was IN STATUS she didn't need to come back to renew anything, as long as she remained IN STATUS through out the period of study.
That is why for visiting visa despite having a validity period of 2 years there is a 6months stay duration per travel, and if you stay more than 6months your are OUT OF STATUS your visiting visa may still be valid but you are OUT OF STATUS.
The key is to always REMAIN IN STATUS
You should have done some due diligence by researching on the topic before telling her to come back and renew.
Sorry but your situation seems quite dire.
As a solution i think you should get an immigration attorney and see if the denial can be appealed.
i also wanted to ask under wat immigration law clause was she denied was is 214b or another one ?
Hopefully its not under 212(a)(9) or 212(a)(6)(C)(i).

naijatisumi:
I'm so down right now...House please forgive my typo error

Dear All,

Please i need sincere clarification and response

Two years (2017) ago my wife travel to the STATE with an F1 visa, but when she got there she realized she was 2 month pregnant tho she was menstruating and all. Anyway she got registered in the school and became the best in her department even with the pregnancy and all school fees payment was duly paid.

In between she registered for Insurance and medicare as a student through the school to deliver our baby, doing this period she has to chill out a semester so as to have the baby as such she has a semester left but her VISA will expired next week.

Anyway i advise her to come back to Nigeria so as to renew her VISA then go back to finish the last semester and make the family proud. She schedule her interview and eventually got the white paper after enough drilling and all but the VO requested for the medical invoice which she replied she's not with the invoice. She was then told to mail it over to there office at ISOLO.

Since there was no payment made as the insurance covered for the payment we sent a mail to the hospital from Nigeria and they provided the medical invoice but stated it was all covered by ALAMEDA medical and we submitted same at DHL, to my surprise today when i went to DHL for the passport i saw a blue paper. sincerely i almost POO on my body, i read through and realised she has been denied. Sincerely i need advise as am blank right now. I advise her to come over to renew her VISA in Nigeria while she insist i should allow her finish her MSC programme before. Sincerely i'm so sad and sick right now.

Please house what can be done, we got another detailed invoice from the hospital today with the amount the insurance company paid for the medicare. I dont know if another VISA fee should be paid and she should go for another interview or is there a way we can go pay the medical fee and then reschedule another interview as i just want her to finish her MSC and come back home. Please note we paid all school fees totaling over 35000$

I'm so sad and down right now...I just need advise please house
