This is common and relative to the Nigerian society, they spend extravagantly in campaigns, I could remember how GEJ spent billions of dollars during his, he suddenly became more cheerful, what could be more than the fear of loosing elections when incumbent? Money that could be used for good developmental ventures, when you perform well, there is no need for being afraid cos the majority masses are with you.. most Nigerian politicians are 'power drunk', so they could do anything to retain power or get it...

2. Anambra state from the onset, despise mediocrity, they want the best out of the best and it has really helped them, compared to some other states though, cos in Nigeria mediocre thrives more, when a governor builds one road, you see it everywhere, praising people for doing their job....Anambra has been lucky with Governors shaa

3. From my own point of view, I see Obiano as a propagandist, his face on everything including in bag of rice, clothes, Bread etc has further helped to buttress my point, he is so much into make believe more than he is into reality, people like us that don't reside in the state simply judge him with what the media has to tell us, which is somewhat deceiving atimes.

He made various promises which are begging for fulfilment, though he has achieved some though, but his propagandist nature wont let us know when he is being serious or just trying to gain favor from the media, especially this one that the elections are near. It is good to constructively criticize our leaders, than running to their defense always. One thing I like about most Anambra governors is their penchant for paying workers their salaries when due, which other states have failed.

What is your take on the Proposed Anambra ultra-modern International airport, do you think it's a good one? some argue that it's unnecessary since we already have airports in neighboring Enugu and IMO states, that he should had rather build an industry, others on the other hand see it as a welcome development since it would bring about investments and development as well and also aid in easy transportation of goods since Anambra as a whole is a renowned commercial state, can I get your take on this?

I've heard alot about Governor Obiano and his achievements, he also got the favor of the media, but some people still don't support his bid for a second term. Although I like the competition, because it would bring about Development when one finds his way there when determined, but there's a need to Analyse the governor and other candidates well ahead of the election, to avoid throwing away a diamond while we were picking stones...

One of the oldest City in this region, very touristic coz of the sandy beaches and the old town with has alot of Arab influence..

It has the the second busiest biggest port in Africa after Durban in S.A.. it has more Hotels and bed capacity than Nairobi..

When you go into details such as beauty,aesthetic,quality of infrastructure,services offered and importance of the city in the region Nairobi is far ahead.

Nairobi has a national park, it has two major forest Ngong and Karura..
We have major parks around the city... Uhuru park,city park, jeevangee, Uhuru gardens just to name afew.

Nairobi has got great and more parks compared to Lagos, it is meant a tourist destination, Lagos on the other hand is more urbanized and Industrialized than Nairobi, it was meant to be an economic center, reason it has a huge GDP.

If you are looking for where to rest and go for a holiday, then Abuja, Calabar, Uyo, Enugu and others can serve that purpose..

But coming to making general comparisons, then Lagos is more than Nairobi because it has little of everything.

Only Lagos and Abuja can beat Kano in number of millionaires who live in the city, i don't think PH can.
There are many industries in Kano and the infrastructure is wow. Same thing with Kaduna and Zaria.
That's why you see Kano and Kaduna has lower poverty and higher literacy rates than other core-northern states.
Core-northerners seem to develop with urbanization from what i have observed.

Gombe is just beautiful because the governor is just very amazing. If you go to Gombe city, you will know that many Nigerian governors are just very wicked and greedy. Gombe state receives one of the lowest allocations in Nigeria and the state was just created in 1996, so they don't have any large financial city centre which we could have said generates them a large internal revenue.
Yet Gombe has some of the best schools, roads, hospitals in Nigeria.
If Gombe continues like this, they will have the highest literacy rate and best literates in the future among all Northern states.

I was shocked when I saw the development going on in Gombe city, the governor is really trying, Kano is a very big and popular commercial centre which attracts foreigners from neighboring countries, same as Kaduna city, one notable thing I love about the North unlike the south is the low cost of living, food and everything is very cheap, my only problem with them there is the conservative nature of the Muslims, but if you go there and decide to live a peaceful life, you would have no problem with them.

I would certainly tour the whole country someday...

Kaduna and Kano are very beautiful and wealthy northern cities. There are not just enough pics of these places online or available if not many here would be wowed.

Kaduna infrastructures can challenge PH and if not for religious crisis that has affected the city, it would have been the 3rd/4th richest Nigerian city After Lagos, PH and maybe Kano.
Kaduna even has better infrastructures than Kano.

Jos, Zaria and Maiduguri come next in the rank of Northern cities. They are quite beautiful too.

A friend who stays in Kano has told me how beautiful and wealthy Kano city is, another person went there and still came back with same story much to our surprise, at least the North also got some degree of success, Kaduna, Gombe, Jos, Maidugri are also beautiful cities as I heard...
