In some schools, faculty is replaced with college |
Has Obiano started paying the new minimum wage? Leave propaganda aside, this man hasn't done up to our expectations. We need a massive industrial revolution in Anambra. And yes, the human and material resources are available. Just proper management. |
Thank God you came out plain and said the truth. Some others would cook up stories of how they have fees to complete. But you are stupid to think your matriculatation is worth donations. |
Illusioneffect:That was an obvious exaggeration. If common acceptance fee us 50k, then the tuition would be how much? |
50k acceptance fee? That school should be burnt down. Bunch of criminals |
Atiku's trajectory shows a man desperate for power and can do or say anything to get it. I wouldn't take his words serious |
You were given what to sign? What delusion of grandeur! Keep over estimating your importance. To clear your point, every freedom fighter has, or must have a radical spirit just like Kanu. From Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela to mention a few. If not that you choose to interpret this to mean dictatorship, you should see the things he lost in the course of this agitation. He has lost his both parents in this struggle. And all of you who call him a coward for feeling when the military came to his home, you expected him to stay put and be killed by the military government of Buhari? What do you know about agitations? A times I marvel at some of your reasonings. Imagine even comparing Kanu to Buhari, a renowned dictator in the likes of Idi Amin. |
WiLdFLame:I knew one of you ignoble nincompoops must find a way to rope Igbo's in your rants. Since when did the writer's name, 'Osayimwen Osahon George' turn to an Igbo name? You are simply scared of the glaring truth embedded in the writer's analysis. Op, great analysis. The rest of us are watching keenly. |
DonHummer:Because he's in Apga? Soludo would fail woefully in governance if given the chance. Forget the Professor title |
Forget the title 'Prof' and other academic qualifications, the issue of governance is more complex and goes beyond this. Leave all this your propaganda. The two professors that are Governors and deputy in Cross River state, what have they achieved? Making him in charge of a vague 50 years development plan is just an orchestrated plan by Obiano for him to take over from him. And if I'm asked, Obiano didn't meet the expectations of Anambarians. I remember when we visited this Soludo of a man in his home then. The man demanded we pay him before he would come for a lecture we invited him for. He refused any photograph with us and unceremoniously ushered us out whilst collecting the portrait we brought for him. That was a gurusome behavior from him and that sinister experience, shaped my perception about him. |
helinues:This one obviously didn't watch the video. Nobi only metropolitan, what of Cosmopolitan? |
In your mind the score is high? Why not check that of others and the general cut off mark? During one of my trials in my years of admission search, I had 257 in jamb and 320 in post utme, yet I was denied admission because I missed the cut off by 2 marks. I didn't die, neither did I publicize it. She should accept the course given to her or retake jamb. Enough of all these crap activism. Admissions are getting tougher by the year. |
It baffles me how supposed graduates write like they never saw the four walls of a primary school. Wrong spellings, poor punctuations and literary no paragraphs. See the way I tried to strain my eyes yet I couldn't read. And no one should try to excuse this. You seriously need to work on yourself. People would tell you it doesn't matter, but it actually does. |
itsme01:Igbos are everywhere, even in the most underdeveloped enclave in this country. It's simply the urge to explore opportunities where others see none. This mentality that Igbo's migrate to the SW and North because the East is underdeveloped is propagated by people who haven't left their village. When I was in Benue, this was the same mindset the youths there had. They get shocked when they visit IgboLand and realize that sequel to what they think, IgboLand is actually developed. I met some of them at the park today in Enugu, probably they just arrived. I could see the awe and shock in their faces. Brother, leave your village! |
I think this argument has been over beaten. HigherEd, I've followed your assertions for a long while and I try to see things from your view because I understand you attended a private university. In as much as I would like to sound objective, I can't help but entangle myself in the bias and emphasize what most public University graduates had been reiterating for so long. Perhaps, it could be because I attended one the first generation public universities myself and I know the fierce competition we faced right from the point of entry, to graduation. That competition is a requisite ingredient for survival in the real world because it brings out the best in people. The truth remains that apart from Covenant, Afe Babalota, Backcock and a few others, the rest of private universities in Nigeria are advanced and overated secondary schools. Their graduates are actually half baked as compared to their counterparts. That is a fact. A university is for me, and in fact in the real sense, is where you are meant to garner a wide range of experience. I can't exhaust everything but that freedom is important. The choices you make sorely depends on you and you take full responsibility for whatever the outcome may be. I'm not denying the fact that private universities have it's good sides. At least issues of missing results, cult clash and pressure on facilities are reduced. But the mere fact that most people who go to private universities were those who couldn't get into the public universities (especially the renowned ones) further trumps the argument. People in the private universities aren't allowed to live up to their full potentials. Many still engage in these vices, albeit, in secrecy. In conclusion, to produce a full fledged graduate with wide range of experience about the intricate realities of life, I would recommend a public university. But on the other hand, I won't deride those who attended private schools. I've also met smart guys from there which is why I emphasize on individuality. But again, sending my kids to either private or public or even outside the country depends on me having the means. |
I came back from the University then on break and met my dad who stood up, welcomed me and stretched his hand for me to shake. He later called me to the sitting room after I had a rest so we could discuss about school and myraid of events that had happened in my absense. It became a norm every time I came back..That was when I realized Obi was no longer a boy. My father that I was scared of going close to previously. |
I can sight Aba kyari, the man behind the wheels leader of the Aso rock cabal. Meanwhile Buhari is undoubtably a handsome old man. I hope the meeting yields a positive fruit... |
Dino Melaye is a presently a senator, yet wants to be governor. I hope this answers your question. |
