She goes and drags his shirt, challenging him to do his worse. She had previously set the kids against their dad. As a result of the accumulated anger, considering the law in physics that states that when an object reaches it's elastic limits is bound to break, he could no longer take it and begins to unleash his anger on the woman, who then is to be blamed?

I'm not justifying the act but it takes a great level of self control to hold oneself considering the rate of nagging women around. Most persons commenting here don't know what people face in marriage, some women are the devil's incarnate, forget the fake smiles.
