SirWere:Oh, they come in different shades and color. Only claiming to though. Bros you have no excuse being an atheist be it in any variation. |
SirWere:.....and you? |
SirWere:Haha.. Here comes another rat! I never knew Nairaland is soo infested with so much rats. Oga, do you also claim to be an atheist? |
Muafrika2:Nope. You're mistaken. It's those who are not sure of their eternal destiny that should be in tension. |
frank317:I hear. Do you also claim to be an atheist? |
CoolUsername:For commenting on threads that talk about God alone proves atheists don't exist and you guys that claim to be atheist are confirming it. Thank you. |
CoolUsername:Both. Do you also claim to be an atheist? |
Onetrack, Why should you be concerned if someone is talking about God when you claim He doesn't exist? I know there's a divine string or two pulling somewhere but I know you won't admit it. |
Q: How could anyone look at all of God's beautiful and majestic creation and still believe that there is no God? A: *They can't*. Now I know that some readers may being thinking, "What about atheists? Atheists do not believe in God." But actually, that is backwards. The truth is, *" God does not believe in atheists."* He basically says so in Romans 1:19-20: . "... that which may be known of God is manifest in them; *for God hath shewed it unto them.* For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; *so that they are without excuse ...."* . So we all know that the eternally powerful God exists, simply by seeing all of the things that He has created. This passage continues in Romans 1:21-22: . "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were they thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools ...." . Later in this same passage, verse 32 says that *they rebel even though they are "knowing the judgment of God".* There are many people who refuse to honor the One they know to be God as God. But there really is no such thing as an atheist. There are only people who claim to be. . Psalms 19:1-4, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. ...." |
What! People who claim to be atheists are just roaming anyhow in this thread like rats. If, God forbid, I were an atheist (that's assuming there's one), I would never comment in anything about God. Why? Why should I talk about something that does not exist? If you're truly an atheist what do you want to say about things or somebody you claim does not exist? Your comments here and there only prove you wrong. To say the truth, there are no atheist any where, people just claim to be one. |
urheme:lol...funny submissions.... Thank you But you see I'd rather accept help from Someone who's more than willing to help me especially when I know I can't help myself anyway. I'm not too proud to receive help. Moreover, you have nothing to lose receiving this one-of-a-kind help of massive proportions like Life Everlasting! *think about it....* rather you have everything to gain trusting that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and resurrected to gift you with eternal life (1 Cor 15.1-4). Jesus Christ was made sin, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ. It's a divine exchange (2 Cor 5.21). Believing for eternal doesn't cost a dime or work. Take it. Please. It's yours. God bless you! ![]() |
O yes, my dear, I've considered it and I'm fully persuaded that there will be resurrection of the dead. Bros you don't have anything to lose believing that Jesus died for your sins and he was buried and God raised him up from death to gift us eternal life (1 Corinthians 15.1-4). Any other thing in addition or subtraction you hear out there is man made. His resurrection is a proof of our own resurrection. Amen. |
✞ I'm So Afraid to Die... I Am Horrified of What May Happen! . Below is a small portion of a letter written by a lady who was horrified of the idea of death. I am sure she is not alone! ................................................................... She wrote: "I went to a nursing home recently and I saw how lonely and old they all were. That's when I thought, how can they be so calm, knowing their days are numbered?" A while ago, I asked God into my life, but I'm just not sure about what will happen when I do close my eyes forever and I'm scared because I don't know what will happen. Will it hurt? How and where will I die?" What's it like? Does it feel good? Where will I go after I die? That's what scares me the most--what will happen to me after I die?" ........................................................................... Throughout history, people have refused to accept the finality that death brings. Death brings an unacceptable, sudden interruption to one’s work, plans, and relationships, family. . Though the inscription on many tomb stones often reads "Rest in Peace," the truth of the matter is that most people do not welcome the peaceful rest of the grave. . John 11:25-26 25. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that *believeth in me*, though he were dead, yet *shall he live*: 26. And whosoever liveth and *believeth in me* shall *never die.* . If you believe-[trust-in] in Jesus, that he shed his blood, died and rose from the grave to save you, you will live with him after physical death forever. That really takes the sting out of death. . The lady that wrote the letter stated "I asked God into my life." I know she was most sincere and also very concerned about the afterlife but this is a very important subject and I must be honest with you. . According to the Bible "asking God into your life" will NOT save you. The Bible tells us 115 times we are saved by *believing* and 35 times it says by *faith*. . Believing means to "trust-in" and not mere intellectual plausibility. . To receive salvation you must *believe* Christ died on the cross to pay your sin debt in full, was buried and rose from the tomb for your salvation. . . Please do it now so that your eternity is secure. . ➜ Please 'SHARE' for the lost on Facebook or any other social media if you agree. |
*shm4u* for your mind... You've only succeeded in suffocating the cross of Christ and making it of none effect by your self righteousness. To you the death of Christ does not matter, it is also about what you do and don't do that matter. Galatian 2:21 says, 'I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.' .... Christ died for nothing. .... Christ died just like every other man. .... Christ died a wasted death, like chicken. . If God should ask you after your death that what makes you think you are qualified to enter his kingdom, please tell Him that it's Jesus plus so and so thing you have done, you hear? |
@ Muafrika2, I never mentioned Joseph Prince anywhere. Is Joseph Prince in the scripture? I only know of one Joseph the son of Jacob in Genesis. @ Jiggaz, Thank God for your life. I'm even tired of replying. I underestimated the thick darkness that surrounds the gospel that saves everyone today (Rom 1.16). Not as if they have any solution to their salvation. They are ready to go to any part of the bible and fetch out a verse to negate the cross instead of rightly dividing. Satan has really done a very good job of hiding the glorious gospel of Christ (2 Cor 4.4). He has given the religious of our day a language of 'BUT' to frustrate and negate the grace of God (Gal 2.21). They will say, "I know Jesus did this and that BUT......" They argue with you the very message that should save them. Hmmm.....Honestly, I must commend satan for this strategy. But we must not give up. |
Muafrika2:Please dont get it twisted, its not my version, it's the word rightly divided. I accept all scriptures where they belong to. All scriptures are FOR us but not all are TO us. Jesus while on earth came to the Jews, his people, under the law, preaching the kingdom of God, where God has promised to make the Jews the first and head of all nations on earth through Abraham in Gen 12.3 and every other Gentile nation will be saved through them ( Matt 15.24; Rom 15. .. Jesus also sent his disciples to the Jews and not to the Gentiles (Matt 10.5-7; Gal 2.7, .. But after the Jews' rejection of their Christ, Jesus while in heaven commissioned his greatest enemy, Paul, to go preach the Gospel of Christ to the Gentiles, which we belong, by the FALL of the Jews (Rom 11.11), under a new dispensation called the dispensation of the grace of God - 1 Cor 9.17 (Rom 15.16; Gal 2.7,8; Rom 11.13; 2 Tim 1.10,11). Please be sure to be like the Bereans and check the scriptures. Our doctrines under the dispensation of grace was given by our risen and glorified Lord to Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles, which is the body of Christ. Paul's doctrines for us are from the books of Romans to Philemon. So let us rightly divide the word as not be ashamed before God on that day. We should listen to whom Jesus sent to us today for Jesus himself said if we receive whom he sent that it's equal to receiving him (John 13.20; Gal 1.6-9). When we receive the doctrines of Paul today we receive Christ (Gal 1.11,12). . Apostle Paul is the only person in the bible that talks about the body of Christ and the church has continually relegated him and continue to minimise and diminish his office as apostle to THE Gentiles that God has MAXIMISED (Rom 11.13). It was to Paul the Gospel of Christ was first revealed, which is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus FOR our salvation today (1 Cor 15.1-4). Paul has the latest news from God today till the rapture and the the second coming of Christ (Rom 11.25). . These things might not sound familiar to you because the gospel has been hidden by satan himself and he will do everything to hide it (2 Cor 4.4). Imaging Christians arguing against what the very power of God that will save them thinking they are arguing with man. *Smh* . There are so many things to teach but I didn't come to Nairaland to teach the bible but to preach the salvation message that saves today. How that Christ shed his life blood on the cross to die for our sins, was buried and resurrected the third day to gift us with eternal life as a gift in Christ the moment we believe. No more, no less. |
Muafrika2:. The passages you quoted are not for us today, the body of Christ. James did not write to us. He wrote to the 12 tribes of Israel (James 1:1). Likewise the book of Revelation. They require works for their salvation. . But Paul is our apostle, preacher and teacher to the gentiles, the body of Christ, not under the law like the Jews but under grace, of which you and me belong today (2 Timothy 1:12; Romans 11:13 etc). Only Paul talk about the body of Christ and the dispensation of the grace of God. That's why he told us to study to show ourselves approved RIGHTLY DIVIDING the word of truth. . Well, I'm not here to teach the bible but to preach what saves for sure: the Gospel of Christ that Paul preached and died for and handed over to us. Paul said, he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, that it is the very power of God for salvation (Rom 1:16). . What is exactly this gospel, that is Goodnews of Christ? It is the belief of what God has done through Christ, how that Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross, died, was buried and God raised him from the dead (resurrection) for our salvation once and for all. . God in his mercy has not called us to be fruit seekers in people but to ensure the Tree is there in the first place and remains there. How can we be looking for fruits in others when we don't acknowledge the tree - the Tree of life? Instead God has called us into the reconciling ministry as His very own ambassadors and given us the go ahead to wear the shoes of the gospel of peace to go out there and announce to the world on the rooftop that He's no longer angry with people, like He did in the days of old, because of what Christ has done on our behalf; that He's no longer counting people's sins that Christ Jesus has paid up front for the sins of the whole world!!! (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). . That's why it's called the Gospel OF Christ not our gospel. We contributed nothing. That's why Paul said God did it that way so no man should boast. Must we boast? 1 Cor1:29,30; Rom 4:2. |
Scholar8200:. My brother that's a serious mixture of the Grace of God you are saying there. You yourself say salvation is not of works and turns around to verify that same salvation by works. Ah-ah, that's double talk na. In Titus 2:13 you quoted, So what does grace bring? Salvation. Grace brings and never takes. Get that. Then Paul admonishes Titus on good works like he wrote in other of his epistles not because there is danger of losing salvation but for other necessary uses..Titus 3.14. What are these uses? There are so many uses but NOT for salvation otherwise Paul would be contradicting himself in so many places. That's why he told us to study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth. . Good works under the dispensation of grace are for: *not to blaspheme the name of God and his doctrine of grace (1 Tim 6:1) *not to give the enemies of the grace doctrine cause to speak reproachfully (1 Tim 5:14). The enemies are many. *good works of course is good and profitable unto men (Tit 3.8 *there are also reward for good works on the day of Christ after the rapture.(1 Cor 3:8-15) *for those who desire to be ministers of the grace gospel to not be unfruitful e.g if as a minister I live a promiscous life nobody will listen to me preach because of my lifestyle even though I preach the most correct doctrine on earth. Paul admonishes pastor Titus to be a pattern of good works (Tit 2:1- . etc and so many other things I cant put down now but NOT for salvation. Paul was teaching saved people, the body of Christ and not unbelievers.. Romans 11.6 clearly separates grace from works and whatsoever God has separated, let no man put together. . Salvation is 100% the works of Christ and 0% of us. Jesus Christ died once and for all to pay for our sins and he will not die again like the bulls and goats of old time. His shed blood, death, burial and resurrection is all we need for eternal life. There's nothing we could add or minus from the works of Christ. If we could be saved by our good works plus Christ that means no man can be saved because we all sin as long as we are in this body only that some people's sins are open for all to see more than some of us. We all sin at the end of the day and we are not saved by confessing our sins. I'm yet to see anyone that can beat his chest and say he does not sin. It's not by trying your best, Christ Jesus' death, burial and resurrection is the best thing we need for our salvation in this dispensation of the grace of God. Amen. |
jiggaz:Thank you for your kind words bro. The Good news is ALL of Christ: his shed blood on the cross, his death, his burial and his resurrection and NONE of us (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). You may copy and paste anywhere as you like. You may also check on my other posts. Let's get the Gospel of Christ out there. More to come. God bless you. |
Scholar8200:Sorry I don't get you. What are you trying to say? . When you said, "...hence our faith and profession are in vain", what do you mean? . When you said, "Grace is power for victory", what do you mean? |
▄▀▄▀▄█▓ ✞Don’t Add to The Gospel or it’s Invalid ▓▄▀▄▀▄█ . Salvation is by *GRACE* through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone. Anything added or taken away will make it void. G - ods R - iches A - t C - hrist's E - xpense . If I make coffee and then mix it with creamer, then it is no more coffee [pure coffee] but coffee and cream. . The same with salvation.. . The Bible says - Romans 11: 6 And if by “grace-[pure grace]”, then is it no more of “works”-[good deeds]: otherwise grace is no more grace. . But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” . . As you see if you add the works- [the good things you do to win God’s acceptance] for salvation it *cancels-out* God's grace and you remain lost. . Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh NOT, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his *faith is counted for righteousness. . Romans 4:16 “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace;” If GRACE + WORKS = LOST (Romans 11.6) It is GRACE + FAITH = Saved (Eph.2. ![]() . Getting the true gospel message CORRECT is of *CRITICAL* importance, as if the message contains a corrupt gospel it can *NOT* point you to salvation. . Saint Paul says in Romans 1:16, the *gospel of Christ*: it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that *believeth-trust-in] . *Believeth means to 'trust in' or 'rely upon' and NOT just mere intellectual acknowledgement.. . The Gospel of Christ: "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins* according to the scriptures; And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day according to the scriptures:" . This is the clearest statement of *the gospel of Christ* in the New Testament. It is NOT what we do for God, but rather what He, through Christ, has done for us. . Our responsibility lies only in receiving it by *BELIEVING. Will you now trust in Jesus and what he did to save YOU? . ➜ Please 'SHARE' on for the lost on any social media if you agree. . |
Can You Be FALSELY Saved? Absolutely. Below are 11 lies regarding Salvation that will send you to Hell for eternity. **The devil is a master deceiver** . 1. "Invite Jesus into your heart." This doctrine is not found anywhere in the Bible. 2. "Believe Jesus died for your sins and be saved." Faith in the burial, and the resurrection is missing. 3. "Come forward and receive Jesus." This invitation is not the gospel in the Bible. 4. "Give your heart to Jesus." This is a false gospel that will not bring eternal life, also not in the Bible 5 "Come to Jesus to get your sins forgiven." ALL of Your sins were forgiven already 2000 years ago. "It is finished" 6. "Be baptized for the remission of sins." Water Baptism does not remove sin, nor is it to Non-Jews. 7. "Life is in the blood of Jesus." No. Eternal life is by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 8. "Personal relationship with Jesus." This is not found anywhere in the bible. Only saved people can do this! 9. "God elects those whom He saves." This doctrine is not found anywhere in the Bible. 10. "Ask God to forgive you of each of your sins" ALL of Your sins were forgiven 2000 years ago. 11. "Pray the Sinners Prayer" This doctrine is not found anywhere in the Bible. . How to be saved? Believe the Gospel... ◄ 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ►~"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel… By which also ye are saved, how that Christ DIED for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was BURIED, and that he ROSE again the third day according to the scriptures:" ****All you need to do is believe that Jesus DIED ON THE CROSS, He was BURIED and He is RISEN for your sake.**** . ✞ Have You 'Asked Jesus Into Your Heart' Yet? . Yes? the problem with this statement is that it is not found ANYWHERE in the entire Bible! The wording of this cliché generates a mental image that can easily lead a child especially to a wrong impressions. . The idea of Jesus entering a person’s heart by invitation is nowhere used in ANY gospel presentation in the Bible. . "Man looks at the outward appearance, " says Samuel, "but the lord looks at the heart" ( 1 Sam 16:7 ). . The language of “asking Jesus into one’s heart” is part of a soul winner’s basic vocabulary, at least in my experience. It is firmly entrenched, it seems, especially in 'children’s ministries' today. . Have you ever heard a minister say, "Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior!" *NOWHERE* in the entire Bible does it say we may enter into salvation by praying a prayer for salvation. . It does say we are saved by *BELIEVING*, Many people have taught God’s word *incorrectly* about how to receive eternal salvation. . Are they still saved? Honestly...I do not know, but I would want to have it right and in harmony with the Bible's instructions to be sure. . How do I accept Jesus as my savior Biblically? Lets let the Bible tell you through our apostle St. Paul: . Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the *Gospel of Christ* for it is the power of God *unto salvation* to every one that believeth-{trust-in]... . The Gospel of Christ is faith in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. . -The Gospel of Your Salvation - ”...I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you... by *which also ye are SAVED*... For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins*... And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day... (1 Cor. 15:1-4). . This is what one *must believe* to be saved, the Gospel of Christ, with nothing added or taken away less you make it null and void. . And of course “to believe” is to have the conviction that something is true that we {rely-on or trust-in} and NOT just merely an intellectual understanding. . ➜ Please 'SHARE' on for the lost on Facebook or any other social media as you like if you agree. . ✞ What Will You Give In Exchange For Your Soul? . Jesus himself asked this profoundly simple question, "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul." Matt.16:26. It is of course of no profit. Nothing is more important than our eternal salvation . . Salvation is absolutely necessary because: . (1) man is a sinner by nature and choice [Romans 3:23; 5:12], (2) he is under the condemnation of God [Romans 5:18] (3) he will not escape the judgment of God [Romans 2:3] (4) he cannot save himself by good behavior, human efforts [Romans 4:4]. . The Bible says we are saved by God's grace (unmerited favor, mercy) and received through faith. (Eph.2: ![]() . It was God's *grace* that made provision for our salvation. God sent His Son into the world "that He (Jesus), by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone." Hebrews 2:9. . Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. He carried our sins to the cross of Calvary, and there He poured out His life blood on our behalf. He suffered and died in our place. And He rose again, a living Savior. (See supporting verses: Eph.1:7; Ro.1:16; 1Cor.15:1-4) . ✞ For Your Salvation: Did You Follow *God's Instructions* or Man's? . To receive salvation, I believe, one MUST follow *God's instructions* for receiving salvation, (NOT MAN"S) and these instructions are found in the "Gospel of our Salvation* . Eph.1.13 tells us to, *trust in Jesus* after hearing the *Gospel of Our Salvation* and after that we *believe*-[trust-in], we will receive the Holy Spirit as assurance we are saved. . This is the Gospel of Our Salvation message that will save all who believe the content of the gospel. . - The Gospel of Our Salvation - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "“Christ died for our sins. … He was buried. … He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures. . So God himself tells us in specific, unambiguous, precise instructions. Not obscure, hazy, or ambiguous, indistinct instructions. . Many preachers and church goers will tell you to: -invite Jesus into your heart -give your life to Jesus -pray the sinners prayer -ask God to forgive you of your sins and save you -repent and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. . BUT God *NEVER* even hinted anyone can be saved these ways. Look in the Bible...it is NOT in there!!! . Why not seek your salvation the way God instructs us to God's way or a preachers way? For me, I am going with God's instructions.. God says to receive salvation, have faith in Jesus, believe he shed his blood and died to pay for your sins and then rose from the grave to save you. . Believe this for your salvation and do not forget to include the resurrection as that is essential for your salvation too. . ➜ Please 'SHARE' for the lost on Facebook or any other social media as you like if you agree. |

✞ The Gospel of Christ for Salvation . Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the *Gospel of Christ*: for it is the power of God *unto salvation* to everyone that *believeth*-[trust- in]; to the Jew first, and also the the Greek." . Paul tells us here he is not ashamed of the *Gospel of Christ* because through its message Jesus will save everyone who *believes. . *There are two kinds of Believing: 1. Believe by seeing... requiring evidence / a sign 2. Believing without seeing... requiring *faith . Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through *faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: . "...blessed are they that have *not seen*, and *yet have believed*. -- John 20:29b . Galatians 1: 11-12 11. But I certify you, brethren, that {the gospel} which was preached of me is NOT AFTER MAN. 12. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. . Paul assures us he did not learn the *Gospel of Christ* from the other apostles or any other person except Jesus Christ by direct revelation. . Galatians 1:8 ”But though we, or an angel from heaven, *preach any other gospel* unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. . Paul says if anyone, even an angel of God, preach any other gospel other than the one he preaches....let God eternally punish them. . -The Gospel of Christ - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel… By which also ye are saved, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 . ✞ How to Go to Heaven - God's Plan of Salvation . May I ask you the most important question of your life? Do you know that when you die that you will go to heaven? Are you saved? . The term "saved" is used in the Bible to refer to a person receiving Jesus as their Savior, all sins forgiven, indwelt by the Holy Spirit and having eternal life. . Would you like to know that when you die you would go to heaven? God instructs us in the Bible found in the "Gospel of Christ" what must occur for us to receive his gift of eternal life. . It is not hard to be saved but God's instructions are specific, unambiguous, precise instructions. Not obscure, hazy, or ambiguous. . *Note: God instructions for salvation do not include "salvation clichés" that church folks often quote such as... . UNCLEAR, UNBIBLICAL, AND INCORRECT CLICHÉS: 1. Accept Jesus as your personal lord and savior. 2. Ask or invite Jesus into your heart. 3. Simply believe Jesus died for your sins. 4. Surrender your life to Jesus 5.Ask God to forgive you of your sins and save you. . Obviously my point in addressing these clichés is to provoke you to think about the importance of accurately portraying the 'Gospel of Christ' for salvation. . As I admitted, some of these clichés have some truth to them but the Bible *NEVER* instructs us to do any of these things to be saved. . Paul said he was proud of the 'Gospel of Christ' message because it has the power TO SAVE anyone who will BELIEVE-[trust-in] it. - Romans 1.16 . - The Gospel of Christ - ”...I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you... by *which also ye are SAVED*... For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins*... And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day... . To be saved Biblically, trust in Jesus to save you, believing he shed his blood dying for your sins and rose from the tomb to save you. He promises he will. Please do it now. . ➜ Please 'SHARE' for the lost on any social media if you agree. |
✞ Is Salvation “Really” a Free Gift? . Salvation is a free gift of God brought to us by his grace through faith alone in Jesus and his shed blood, death, and resurrection from the grave as the sole condition that's needed to be saved. – Eph.1.7; Ro.1.16; 1Cor.15.1-4. . In fact, since universal death entered the human race through Adam, no one can obtain salvation unless they are saved from the penalty of sin and receive the "gift" of eternal life in Christ. . No degree of reformation however great, no attainment of morality however high, no culture however attractive, no baptism or any other type of religious rituals or practices however administered, can help mankind, born sinful, to take even one small step toward heaven. . A new position has to be imparted from above at the very moment of faith in Jesus Christ, his shed blood, death and resurrection and His promise of give eternal life to all who solely believe-[trust-in] in Him. . Not only must we believe in the *true Jesus*, but we must also have true faith in what he did to save you. (Ro.1:16) . In theology we talk about two kinds of faith: ascentia and fiducia. Ascentia is nothing more than ''mental acknowledgment''. . The devil, for example, acknowledges that God exists (James 2:19). But he does not have fiducia. That is, he does not have a *trusting faith* in Jesus and what he did to save us. . Therefore, believing (to trust in; rely upon) in Jesus is enough to be saved, BUT we must believe that Jesus is God and flesh, that he shed his blood, died on a cross and rose from the tomb to save you. (Ep.1:7,Ro.1:16,1Cor.15:1-4) . ➜ Please 'SHARE' for the lost on any social media if you agree. |
✞ Will You Go to Heaven Someday? . The Bible teaches that man was created by God, in His own image, in a perfect and innocent state. . The Bible further teaches that man sinned and and incurred punishment of eternal death and that by virtue of being a descendant of Adam, all human beings are born with a 'sin nature' and in and of themselves can do nothing to save themselves from this fallen state. . Romans 5:12-14 (KJV) "Wherefore, as by one man[Adam] sin entered into the world, and *death* by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" . God, in His infinite love and grace for mankind, has, through Jesus, shed blood, death, burial and resurrection, paid for all the sins of all mankind and made provision for all to be taken ‘out’ of their sinful condition and ‘placed’ in a righteous position. . God is absolutely sovereign and that in His own sovereign free will has chosen to save all those who *BELIEVE*-[trust-in] in Christ, and that he shed his blood, died to pay for their sins and rose to provide eternal life as a free gift. (Eph.1.6; Ro.1.16; 1Cor.15.1-4) . Note: There are two kinds of *believing: 1. Believe by seeing... requiring evidence / a sign 2. Believing without seeing... requiring *FAITH . Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through *FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" . The Bible teaches that to receive the gift of eternal life with Jesus in heaven you must have faith in Jesus and believe he died to pay for your sins and rose from the grave to save you. Dear Meel, Yes, of course. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is an overpayment for our sin debts: past, present and future. (read Rom 5:16,17). He has paid our sin debts upfront - all fully paid and stamped by the Holy Spirit. That's why it's called the Good News in the first place. Gospel means Good news! If what you hear does not give you joy then how's that good news ![]() . In the body of Christ, in this dispensation of grace, there's nothing like unrepentant sin or backsliding. Check it, you'll not find the word 'backslide.' We are forever forgiven New Creations in Christ (2 Cor 5:17). . Colossians 2:13.. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you ALL your trespasses... . How many of your sins has God forgiven? Some? No. ALL. Sleep tonight and wake up the next morning, you will still find your forgiven state there in Col 2:13. Close the Bible and open it later, you will see it's still there in Col 2:13. See supporting verses: Col 1:14; Eph 4:32, etc. . You see that's why we need to have an eye of faith on the death, burial and resurrection of Christ for our salvation because every gift we have in Christ can only be obtained by faith for the righteousness of Christ that's NOW being revealed is from faith to faith...(Rom 1:17). It's ultimate sacrifice, done once and for all. . So what's the practical application of these things? The truth is that no man born of woman in this flesh can stop sinning, no matter how moral they may seem to be from the outside. Quote me anywhere. Note: the grace of God does not tell you to sin nor does it encourage you to sin (people have been sinning long before the grace of God, since Adam); what grace does is to save you. Get that. The work grace does is to *SAVE*. It gives eternal rest to your soul. That's why those who resist grace will never find rest in their conscience. Dont be carried away by their outward appearance. Again get that. . So what do you do when you sin? Simple. Thank God for his gifts of grace, righteousness, eternal life, sanctification, justification, redemption, forgiveness, etc as GIFTS in Christ because He has already done it nearly two thousand years ago only that you may just be hearing it now. When you sin, as a beginner, open your bible, look for where these gifts are in Paul's epistles (Paul is our apostle in the body of Christ - Rom 11:13 etc) and repeat those words to yourself in assurance of faith. With time you would be strong in the faith of Christ you wont need to peep in your bible for relevant verses of scripture again. From there you yourself will grow to be a minister of grace sharing this gospel of Christ to others. Amen. . Be strong in Grace 2 Tim 2:1 and may Christ dwell in your heart by faith..Eph 3:17. God bless you. Shalom. |
Dear matrix600, like I said, the mind of God for all men is that they might be saved by believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation. Only believe. |

But you see I'd rather accept help from Someone who's more than willing to help me especially when I know I can't help myself anyway.
