Christianity EtcWere You Saved By God's Unearned Favor Through Faith? by marcopollo(op): 6:32am On Mar 13, 2016
✞ Were You Saved by God’s Un-
earned Favor through Faith?
.
God had every right to leave man
in his depraved and helpless
condition because man defied and
sinned against him.
.
Because of God's own gracious and loving kindness, he chose to
intercede on behalf of fallen man
and rescue us.
.
Salvation is ''only'' possible through 'faith alone' in Christ, his shed blood, death, burial and
resurrection for one’s salvation.
(Rom.1:16; 1Cor.15:1-4; Eph.1:7)
.
One must 'totally eject' that any
works of righteousness contributes in any way to his salvation. When a person places their faith in Christ and his finished work for their salvation they are at that very instant declared righteous.
.
Any work of righteousness as a
contribution, even in a small way,
makes the traction between God
and man null and void and the man remains lost.
.
The bible teaches no act of
obedience, preceding or following
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, such
as commitment to obey, sorrow for sin, turning from one's sin, baptism or submission to the Lordship of Christ, may be added to, or considered 'part of FAITH' as a condition for receiving everlasting life (Rom 4:5; Gal 2:16; Titus 3:5).
.
This saving transaction between
God and the sinner is simply the
giving and receiving of a free gift
(Eph. 2:8-9; Rom 6:23).

Christianity EtcHey, Have You Heard The Good News Yet? by marcopollo(op): 6:22am On Mar 06, 2016
✞ Hey, Have You Heard the Good
News Yet?
.
There are two options for us, one in the eternal presence of God in
heaven, the other in eternal
separation from God forever.
.
Most people believe they are going to heaven because they ''believe in God'', they attend church services, or they try to live a good and honest life.
.
But these people only ''hope'' that
they will make it to heaven, they
do not *know*. The Bible teaches
that you *can know* that you have eternal life.
.
But how can someone really
“know” if they have been good
enough to get to heaven?
.
The answer is that your eternal
destiny has nothing to do with
how good you are. In fact, the Bible teaches that NO ONE (no one!) is ''good enough'' to get to heaven by virtue of their good behavior..
.
Romans 3:10
"As it is written, There is none
righteous, no, not one:"
.
Righteousness is defined as, “God’s
standard of perfection.” According
to the Bible, no man meets this
high standard. None!
.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death;
So you might be asking now, “If
everyone is a sinner, and sin is
deserving of death, how does
anyone get to heaven then?”
.
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but
the *GIFT* of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
.
This verse says that eternal life is a
gift, right?. Can you earn a gift? Do
you have to do anything to get a
Birthday gift? No!, a gift by
deninition is free.
.
Ephesians 2:8,9
For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God. NOT of works,
lest any man should boast.”
.
Romans 4:5
But to him that *worketh not*,
but*BELIEVETH* on him that
justifieth the ungodly, his faith is
counted for righteousness.
.
Faith is simply *believing-trusting* what God has said. God, being a loving Father, wants to have a relationship with you.
.
Since you are separated from Him
by your unrighteousness, he will
count *your faith* for
righteousness so that you can have eternal life and a personal
relationship with Him.
.
But HOW did God provide for this
'free gift' of eternal life? And if
eternal life is a 'free gift' that I can
receive, how do I receive it? If God
will count my faith for
righteousness, what do I need to
have faith in?
.
Look, read these verses below at
what Jesus did to save you,
1 Corinthians 15:3,4
For I delivered unto you first of all
that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins* according to the scriptures;
And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day
according to the scriptures:
.
1 Thessalonians 4:14
For *if* we *believe* that {Jesus
died and rose again}, even so them also which sleep-[died] in Jesus will God bring with him.
.
So there it is! To receive God’s gift
eternal trust in Jesus right now and believe he shed his blood, died to pay for your sins and rose from the grave to gift you with eternal life and you are eternally saved. Please trust in Jesus now!

Christianity EtcAre Your Children And Grand Children Saved Yet? by marcopollo(op): 5:23am On Mar 06, 2016
✞ Are Your Children and
Grandchildren Saved Yet?
.
I know many, many, many families that do not teach their children 'how to be saved'.
.
Many parent never mention
salvation, and let their kids grow
up and leave home as lost as a lone goose and knowing nothing about God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit.
.
I am not talking about taking them or sending them on a bus to church 3 times a week. I am taling about a parent sitting down with each child and present the gospel of salvation to them.
.
Age range % of Children who
receive salvation within their age
range:
* 5 to 13 years 32%
* 14 to 18 years 4% -
* 19 years 6%
The older the child gets the less
likely they will accept the gospel of salvation.
.
Please tell them that Jesus shed his blood, die on a cross to pay for all their sins and rose from the grave to save then if they will only trust in Him.
.
This is the gospel of salvation and
this is what one is to believe to
receive the gift of salvation
(Eph.1.7; Rom.1.16; 1Cor.15.1-4)

Christianity EtcIs Salvation Really A Free Gift? - No Contribution Required by marcopollo(op): 12:10am On Mar 06, 2016
✞ Is Salvation Really a "Free Gift"? – No Contribution Required?
.
Definition: Gift /gift/ noun
1) A thing given willingly to
someone without payment of any
kind; A present as "a Christmas
present."
2) Something given voluntarily
without payment of any kind in
return.
3) When a gift is given and
received it can not be legally be
taken back.
.
When the Bible speaks of salvation as 'a gift' from God, it emphasizes the fact that salvation is something given freely, without charge, or man’s contribution.
.
Eph.2.8 - "For by grace[un-earned
favor] are ye saved through faith;
and that NOT of yourselves: it is the *GIFT* of God:"
.
The Bible explains that 'every
person' sins in some way or the
other and that he can *not* save
himself from the penalty of our sin.
.
Ro.6:23 - "For the wages of sin is
death; but the *GIFT* of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ..."
.
Remember the Bible tells us over
and over salvation for us today is a *FREE GIFT*
.
Do NOT try to earn the GIFT of
salvation because “if” you could
succeed salvation would no longer
be a free gift and it would be
withheld and you would not
receive it.
.
Let me ask you, have you received
YOUR gift from God yet? Do you
HOW to receive it? Here is God
instructions to us today on how to
receive his 'gift' of eternal life.
.
You MUST place their FAITH in Jesus to save you, believe he shed his blood and died to pay for your sins and rose from the grave that you will be justified.
.
Will YOU 'trust in' Jesus right now
to save you?

Christianity EtcJesus - Six Agonising Hours On The Cross For You by marcopollo(op): 11:58pm On Mar 05, 2016
✞ Jesus - Six Agonizing Hours on the Cross....for You
.
A reading of the gospel narratives
concerning the death of Jesus will
show that He was nailed to the
cross at 9 o'clock in the morning,
and didn’t die until 3 in the
afternoon.
.
The agony in the Garden of
Gethsemene the night before had
been an ordeal in prayer before His Father that we can scarcely
understand. The writer of Hebrews comments on this incident,
.
"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;" --Hebrews 5:7, 8
.
Then, too, Jesus had been up the
rest of the night without sleep
enduring scourging, beating, cruel
mockery and unspeakable brutality.
He was already weakened when he carried his cross, stumbling, to the place of crucifixion.
.
Death by crucifixion: The nailing of
hands and feet forced the victims
to push up against the weight of
his own body to take a single
breath.
.
In the hot sun, terrible thirst
ensued and death came in most
cases from suffocation amidst great pain.
.
The victim was also naked and
publically humiliated---death on
the cross was reserved for the most wretched of all criminals.
.
There is so much more to the death of Jesus on the cross than the 'visible suffering', terrible pain and suffering, and the incredible
ignominy of such a horrible death
for One who was not only innocent but also the very Son of God.
.
Jesus took upon Himself the sins of all mankind when He died for us on the cross, but He also met fully the onslaught of demons, fallen angels, and all the power of evil forces in the heavens as well, disarming all of them completely.
.
Because Jesus loves you and me so much he suffered this horrific death to pay for our sins, shedding his blood and then rose from the grave to provide you with eternal life. .
.
Won’t you please place your trust
in Jesus now? Read the next verse
to learn how...
.

“For *if* we "believe" that *Jesus
died and rose again*, even so them also which sleep-[died] in Jesus will God bring with him.

Christianity EtcWhat Shall A Man Give In Exchange For His Soul? by marcopollo(op): 8:08am On Feb 28, 2016
✞ What Shall A Man Give In
Exchange For His Soul?
.
Jesus himself asked the profoundly simple question, "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul."
Matt.16:26. It is of no profit.
Nothing is more important than
our eternal salvation.
.
Salvation is absolutely necessary
because:
.
(1) man is a sinner by nature and
choice [Romans 3:23; 5:12],
(2) he is under the condemnation
of God [Romans 5:18]
(3) he will not escape the judgment of God [Romans 2:3]
(4) he cannot save himself by good behavior, human efforts [Romans 4:4].
.
The Bible says we are saved by
God's grace and received through
faith. (Eph.2:cool
.
It was God's *grace* that made
provision for our salvation. He sent His Son into the world "that He (Jesus), by the grace of God, might taste death, and then resurrection for everyone." (Heb.2:9)
.
Jesus Christ died on the cross for
our sins. He carried our sins to the
cross of Calvary, and there He
poured out His life blood on our
behalf. He suffered and died in our
place. And He rose again, a living
Savior.
.
(Supporting verses: to:
Rom.1:16; 1Cor.15:1-4; Eph.1:7)

Please place your faith in Jesus, his
shed blood, death, burial, and
resurrection now for your eternal
salvation.

Christianity EtcOnce Saved - Do We Ask God For Forgiveness Over And Over? by marcopollo(op): 7:56am On Feb 28, 2016
✞Once Saved - Do We Ask God’s
Forgiveness Over and Over?
.
Sin is sin and we should never take it lightly,(Eph. 5:6). God does not take it lightly as it requires the
blood sacrifice of his Son, his death on the cross and resurrection to pay the penalty for our sins.
.
One sin condemns us to death just
like Adam and Eve. Christ saves us
from judgment for our sins with
the work he accomplished at the
cross and resurrection. He provided total forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life, paid by Jesus.
.
As a child of God we do not need to ask God to forgive us over and over again because *he already has forgiven us*. The work is
completed! Of the last sayings of
Christ on the cross, none is more
poignant than His very last
utterance, “It is finished!”
.
Jesus came from heaven and
became a man to die on the cross
to pay our sin debt in full and then just before he gave us his spirit he said, “It is finished."
.
The Greek word translated “it is
finished” is tetelestai, an
accounting term that means “paid
in full.” When Jesus uttered those
words, He was declaring the sin
debt owed to His Father was wiped away 'completely' and 'forever'.
.
Not that Jesus wiped away any
debt that He owed to the Father;
rather, Jesus eliminated the all debt owed by mankind—the debt of our sins.
.
“In whom we *have-[resent tense] redemption through his blood, even the *forgiveness of sins* ” –
Colossians 1:14
.
Our conversation to God should be
*belief and gratitude* that he has
forgiven us through Christ’s blood!
If you are married would you ask
your spouse several times a day to marry you? Why not?
.
If you offend a spouse it is
appropriate to tell him or her you
are very sorry, you did something
you shouldn't have but you
wouldn't ask "will you marry me?" Because you are already married for life.
.
What about if you have not
received salvation, eternal life with Jesus forever?
.
The sole condition for receiving
salvation is 'faith alone' that Jesus
Christ died a substitutionary death
on the cross for our sins and rose
bodily from the tomb to offer you
eternal life. (1 Cor. 15: 1-4; 1 Thess. 4:14; Rom 4:25)

Christianity EtcIf You Died Today... Where Would You End Up? by marcopollo(op): 7:41am On Feb 28, 2016
✞ If You Died Today... Where Would You End Up?
.
Did you know 151,600 people die
each day, ...is it even remotely
possible you may be one? Many die in an accident unexpectedly. Traffic accidents kill 1.24 million people each year.
.
A decision you make in this life
time will determine your destiny
and you can not change your mind after you die...it will be too late.
.
Would you like the opportunity to
make your 'once in a life time'
decision today...right now? This is
the decision that will determine
your eternal destiny.
.
The Holy Bible says, that every
person sins and fails to obey and
glorify God. God is holy and he does not take sin lightly. The
punishment for sinning is death
eternally, separated from God
forever.
.
The good news (gospel) is that if
you accept his free gift of eternal
life BEFORE you die, he will raise
you from the dead and bring you
to heaven to live with him for
eternity. It all depends on you!
What do you say?
.
God said, "Who will have *all men* to be SAVED, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." - 1Tim.2.4
.
Would you like to come to the
"knowledge of truth'' right now
and receive God's gift of eternal
life? Many do not know how to, or
how to tell you how to but I will
allow God's word to show you.
.
Apostle Paul said, For I am not
ashamed of *the Gospel of Christ*:
for it is the power of God to
*SALVATION* to everyone that
*BELIEVETH*-[trusts-in] the gospel
message"
.
If I show you the "Gospel of Christ" message that will SAVE everyone who "BELIEVETH" would you place your faith in that message and accept salvation now?
.
Fist lets define "believe." *BELIEVE:
definition: complete 'trust' or
confidence in someone or
something, even though we have
no possible way of “knowing” it to be true. We have 'faith' or 'trust' it is true but again, we can't prove it.
.
How to be saved: Trust in Jesus to
save you, believing he shed his
blood, died to pay for your sins and rose form the tomb to save you. At the moment of salvation the Holy Spirit indwells within you, you have accepted forgiveness and are saved
.. Please trust in Jesus to save you
now!

Christianity EtcHow God Instructs Us To Receive Salvation by marcopollo(op): 7:01pm On Feb 21, 2016
✞ How God Instructs Us To Receive Salvation
.
Please allow me to show you from the Bible how God instructs us through the apostle, Paul, to
receive salvation in the church age
of today.
.
Our apostle, Paul, states in Romans 1:16...
.
vs.16 " For I am not ashamed of the *Gospel of Christ* for it-[the Gospel of Christ] is the power of God unto salvation to every one that *believeth*-[trust-in] to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
.
Do you agree Paul says in the verse above that he is not ashamed of the *Gospel of Christ* as that gospel message has the power to save anyone who believes in it?
.
Also we know in the Bible that
believe means to trust-in and not
to merely intellectual ascend.
.
If you agree, then now all we need to do to locate God's instruction for salvation that Paul says is located in the *Gospel of Christ* message, right?
.
Paul tell us below this gospel that
saves everyone who will believe.
Paul reveals the gospel below in
the most concise terms as found
any where in the scriptures the
gospel message we must place our trust in to be saved.
.
~ The Gospel of Christ ~
1. Moreover, brethren, I declare
unto you *the gospel* which I
preached unto you, which also ye
have received, and wherein ye
stand;
2 By which also *YE ARE SAVED*, if
ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have
believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of
all that which I also received, how
that *Christ died for our sins*
according to the scriptures;
4 And that *he was buried*, and
that *he rose again* the third day
according to the scriptures:
-1Cor.15.1-4
.
As you can see, salvation is
predicated on faith in Jesus,
believing-[trusting] he died on the
cross to pay for our sins and rose
from the grave to gift us with
eternal life.
.
Place you faith in that gospel
message to receive your salvation!

Christianity EtcGod's Salvation Instruction For Today? by marcopollo(op): 7:07am On Feb 21, 2016
✞ God's Salvation Instruction for
Today
.
As long as the *the dispensation of the grace of God* lasts, the 'Gospel of God's grace' MUST be preached on.
.
Paul said, "If ye have heard of the
*dispensation of the grace of God*
which is given me to you..."
.
The need for the *gospel of Grace*
arises out of the natural state of
the human heart, which is
essentially legalistic.
.
The cardinal error against which
the Gospel has to contend is the
inveterate tendency of men to
attempt to ~☞ rely on their own
performances ☜~ to be accepted by God.
.
The great antagonist to the truth is the "pride of man", which causes him to imagine that he can be, in part at least, be his own savior.
.
This error is the prolific mother of a multitude of today's heresies. It is by this falsehood that the 'pure'
stream of the gospel, passing
through human channels, has been polluted.
.
The gospel for us today declares we *MUST* place our FAITH in Jesus to save us, believing he shed his blood and died to pay for our sins and rose from the grave that we would be saved.
.
Note: Nothing may be added to the gospel nor omitted. Will 'YOU' 'trust in' Jesus alone right now to save you?
.

Eph.1:7; Ro.1:16; 1Cor.15:1-4

Christianity EtcWill You Go To Heaven? How Do You Know? by marcopollo(op): 6:56am On Feb 21, 2016
✞ Will YOU Go To Heaven? How Do
You Know?
.
What Most People Think...
.
There may be as many opinions on who gets to go to heaven as there are people. Here are a few of the most popular ones:
.
*Whoever obeys the Ten
Commandments will go to heaven.
*Whoever goes to church will go to heaven.
*Whoever does more good things
than bad things will go to heaven.
*Whoever believes in God will go
to heaven.
*Whoever has not killed anyone or done anything really bad will go to heaven.
*Everyone in a Christian household will go to heaven.
.
These opinions may seem OK, but
guess what? They are all wrong!
.
“If none of these are correct, who
gets to go to heaven?” you may
ask. The answer is simple. The
people who are the ones who “are
right with God” .
.
What do "I" do...to be accepted by
God? Nothing! There is nothing
"YOU" can do to make yourself
acceptable to God. I bet your
thinking "That's crazy, how do I get right then?"
.
God knew there was nothing man
could do to earn acceptance with
Him by any effort on man's part.
.
The answer on how to be made
right and completely accepted by
God is found only in "the Gospel of
Christ." Many people do not know
the Bible well enough themselves
to know this or what it says.
.
Apostle Paul tells us,
.
"“For I am not ashamed of *the
Gospel of Christ*: for it is the power of God *to salvation* to every one that *believeth*;...” --Ro. 1:16
.
Read this verse slowly and carefully again. Doesn't it say 'exactly' what I told you that salvation is found in the *Gospel of Christ*?
.
Doesn't it say the *Gospel of Christ* message has the power and instructions to save EVERYONE who believes? Believe means to rely on or trust in and not mere intellectual assenting.
.
~ The Gospel of Christ Message ~
Trust in Jesus, believing his death
and resurrection from the tomb to
save you [See Ro.1.16; 1Cor.15.1-4]
.
Our eternal destination is
determined in our earthly lifetime
by our reception or rejection of the "Gospel of Christ" message.
.
Will you, right now, place your faith (trust) that Jesus shed his blood and died to pay for your sins and rose from the grave to save you?

Christianity EtcGod Instructs In The Gospel Of Christ...did You Obey? by marcopollo(op): 6:43am On Feb 21, 2016
✞God Instructs In the ‘Gospel of
Christ’ for Salvation...Did You Obey?
.
I read in a church's poll up to 80 -
90% of 'church-goers' were un-
acquainted with the *Gospel of
Christ*
.
This is the gospel message God
*requires* us to believe-[trust-in]
to be saved. 80% plus church-goers didn’t know what it is....how did they get saved?
.
This begs the question, if God
instructs us to have faith in the
*Gospel of Christ* for our salvation and some don’t know what it is...how were they saved”...how could they teach their children and friends to be saved?
.
I guess this estimate is not too far
off the mark as evidenced by the
large numbers of people who are
still trying to *EARN* which God
has freely offered them as a “free
gift”.
.
Allow me to share salvation
instructions God gave apostle Paul
to present to us, a message that
we must obey, the truth Paul
revealed was:
.
*I am proud of the *Gospel of
Christ* because it has the power to SAVE everyone who will believe- [trust-in] it. [See Ro.1.16.] Have you trusted in the *Gospel of Christ* message to receive your salvation?
.
~The Gospel of Christ~
”...I declare unto you *the gospel*
which I preached unto you... by
*which also ye are SAVED*... For I
delivered unto you first of all that
which I also received, how that
*Christ died for our sins*... And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day... [1Cor.15.1-4]
A person yesterday stated “I invited Jesus into my heart many years ago.” With all the kindness,
goodwill and love I have, I must
honestly say, the Bible never
instructs us or even hints we can be saved that way.
.
Yes, God comes into our heart but
not by inviting but "believing". The Bible states approx. 150 times we are saved by BELIEVING. God
instructs us to have *faith* in Jesus, to trust in his shed blood, death and resurrection is what saves us.

Nice post. The truth is that it is by His grace that we are put right with God and come into possession of eternal life that we hope for (Titus 3:7). However, it is wrong to posit that good deeds don't help. James 2:13 says that God will not show mercy when he judges the person who has not been merciful, but mercy triumphs over judgement. (Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy) It pays to show mercy (good deed).
How can one inherit heaven if he doesn't do good deeds... if he doesn't show love, forgive, defend the defenseless, say the truth to save a situation, preach the Gospel. With due respect sir, good deed is necessary but just doing good is not enough to save, and not doing good can equally deny someone salvation, though a sinner can be saved just like the theif by the side of Christ during crucifixion. Simple... do good, obey all God commands, pray for God's grace and have faith in Him.
If you say that good deeds are needless, you are saying that we don't have to obey God's teachings, instructions, directives and warnings, since most of them are injunctions to do good especially to our fellows.
uh(
Thank you but don't think it's me you are frustrating. You are only frustrating the grace of God that saves (Galatians 2:21). The people that will hear will hear.

In fact, more grace in your life.
Thank you bro. You may check all my posts and share anywhere as you like. The pure, unadulterated grace of God that points ONLY to Christ must be preached till it sinks and develops strong root by faith in the hearts of men for salvation.

✞ Really 'Sure' You Are Trusting
Jesus To Save You?
.
It’s all over for me, a pastor friend
thought. After visiting a leper
colony in Kano, one of the lepers
*touched him*. He said that he was sure he had been infected with the terrible disease.
.
He thought it wouldn’t be long
before it spread throughout his
body. He said he could picture
myself bleeding to death from a
cut, losing parts of my fingers and
toes.
Thankfully, his doctor *assured
him* several times that even
though the disease is contagious,
normal healthy people can’t get it
that way.
.
But my friend didn’t really
*BELIEVE-TRUST* the doctor, not
really, he said he did....but he really didn't.
.
Many people take this same
approach when it comes to their
own salvation. They *SAY*, "I
trusted Jesus to save me, believe
he died to pay for 'all’ my sins and
rose from the tomb to give me
eternal life, but.....
.
But they don’t really, really believe what God has said, as shown by their daily life. Instead of having faith in Jesus and what he did, they rely upon continually confessing their sins over and over each day, asking for forgiveness again and again, and being the best person they can be, just in case God is wrong.
.
Now, that is definitely *NOT* faith, and it won’t save them. The faith that saves us *takes God at His word* and *believes*-[trusts-in.] He means just what He says.
.
Saving faith/believing is TRUSTING
in and relying up what God word
says and what Jesus did to save us.
How many sins were in the future
when Jesus died for them? God is
not confined by time or space as
we are, he created it. He looked
down the long corridor of time
from Adam to the last man that
dies and paid the price for
forgiveness of all sins.
.
You don’t need a seminary degree
to understand this, but you need to have the humble heart of a child to embrace Christ, TRUST him to save you!
.
Here’s a test: Are you holding on to any of your good deeds to make it to Heaven, just in case God doesn’t know what He’s talking about?
.
Maybe you think you have to
confess your sins every day to stay
'tuned up' and be saved.
.
If 'YES' you’re living in 'FEAR' and
'insecurity' because you’re afraid of messing up and missing out on
eternal life. Believe me, friend, God
knows what He’s talking about.
*Trust Him* right now, and you
won’t be disappointed.
.
The sole condition for salvation is
*FAITH alone* that Jesus died a
substitutionary death on the cross
for 'ALL' our sins and rose bodily
from the dead for our salvation.
(Eph.1.6, Ro.1.16, 1 Cor. 15: 1-4; 1
Thess. 4:14)
.
Trust Jesus now and stop doubting.

Christianity EtcGood Deeds...will Not Move You One Step Closer To Heaven! by marcopollo(op): 7:54am On Feb 14, 2016
✞ Good Deeds...Will Not Move You
One Step Closer to Heaven!
.
The salvation of mankind is wholly a work of God's grace [un-earned favor] and is NOT the work or any man, in whole or in part or of human goodness or effort.
.
God 'imputes' His righteousness to
those who put their *faith* in
Jesus, his only begotten son, who
shed his blood and died to pay for
our sins and rose from the tomb to save us. (Eph.1.7, 1Cor.15.1-4)
.
Salvation cannot be earned by
good deeds *plus* God's grace!
One's effort to ADD to God's gift of
salvation is an 'insult' to Jesus, his
shed blood, death and resurrection to save you and nullifies the gift.
(Ro.11.6)
.
*NOT* by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5).
.
This Bible verse makes it plain and
simple that good works will NOT
even help 'nor be accepted' by God to save anyone.
.
The penalty of sin that is passed on to all of mankind is 'death' because of Adam's sin. Jesus became the sacrifice for all of mankind's sin.
.
Romans 5:12
12. Wherefore, as by one man
[Adam] sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so 'death
passed upon all men', for that all
have sinned:
.
Jesus took our place and died on a
cross, shedding his blood, was
buried and rose from the dead to
pay for mankind's sin debt in full
and rose from the tomb for our
justification.
.
Those who accept God's plan of
salvation will receive eternal life
and spend eternity with Jesus in
heaven.
.
[Gospel verses: Eph.1:7; Rom.1:16;
1Cor.15:1-4]
.Please place your faith in Jesus
right now and the sacrifice he
made for you...

Christianity EtcSalvation: A Legal Gift. by marcopollo(op): 7:31am On Feb 14, 2016
✞ Salvation: A Legal Gift.
.
No one is accepted by God based
on their ‘’personal merit’’ before or after salvation.
.
Your behavior, "good or bad
deeds’', play no part in securing nor maintaining your salvation as
salvation is a *free gift* of God.
.
Does this mean it is “ok" to sin?
Absolutely NOT!!! Sin is never a
casual matter with God. It is an
assault to his holiness.
.
What it means is that salvation is a *free gift* from God, apart from
our behavior or it would NOT be a
gift at all. It would be merely an
arrangement.
............................................................................
*Dictionary: Legal Gift: A voluntary
transfer of property from one
individual to another, made
gratuitously-[without charge] to
the recipient without conditions
.
The individual who makes the gift
is known as the donor, and the
individual to whom the gift is
made is called the donee.
.
Once the gift is received and takes
possession of the gift the donor has *no further legal claim on the
item* by donor.
.
It can NOT be legally taken back by the donor from the donee. It is
ILLEGAL for the donor to later take
the "GIFT" away from donee.
...........................................................................
.........
Eph2.8 “For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the *GIFT* of God:”
Rom.6:23 KJV, "... the *GIFT* of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
.
The Bible gives us instruction on
how to receive the GIFT of salvation
in Ro.1:16, and the *Gospel of Our
Salvation* is found here, 1Cor.15:1-4.
.
Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of *the
gospel* of Christ: for it is the power of God to *SALVATION* to every one that *believeth*-[trust-in]...”
.
* The Gospel of Our Salvation *
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "“Christ died
for our sins. … He was buried. … He
was raised on the third day,
according to the Scriptures.”
.
Salvation is a free and unmerited
'gift' from God, granted *through
faith* in Jesus, upon believing he
shed his blood and died on a cross
to pay for our sins and rose from
the tomb to provide us with
everlasting life, all sin forgiven,
indwelt by the Holy Spirit and
heaven bound.
.
Will you trust him and what he did to save you now?

Christianity EtcHow You May Receive Salvation Right Now! by marcopollo(op): 7:18am On Feb 14, 2016
✞ How You May Receive Salvation
Right Now!
.
The most important matter that we face is "where do I stand with God when I die, right?" God said he is not willing that any should perish, He loves the sinning world, which includes you and me. He wants to save us!
.
God loves us so much that He did
something breathe-takingly
compassionate to save us from the penalty of our sin....
.
But first we must realize that we
do all sin and come into the world
with a sin propensity because of
Adam's sin. God Himself has said:
"There is none righteous, no, not
one" (Romans 3:10).
.
Our own efforts to make amends to God for the wrong we have done *CANNOT* reverse the just
judgment of God. There is a
punishment for sin that had to be
paid before we could be reconciled with God.
.
God orchestrated his own plan for
our redemption. God sent His Son,
Jesus, into the world to fulfill this
mission. Jesus lived a perfect,
sinless life in complete obedience
to God.
.
And then Jesus willingly took upon himself all our sins; He shed his blood, died on a cross, was buried and rose from the grave to save us.
.
One *must* place their FAITH in
Jesus to save them, believe he shed his blood and died to pay for their sins and rose from the grave that they would be justified. Will you trust Jesus now and what he did to save you?
.

13:33; Ro.1:16; 1Cor.15:1-4
