I recently got neulla male and female, so that in due time thy can cross breed, this will help the local chicken gain some size
I intend adding more Neulla female

Sometimes in October I concluded that I want to venture into local chicken production.
So many factors made me choose this path
1. Low cost of feeding
2: low mortality rate, etc.

I started with 3 hens and 1 cock

As at today I have 26 local chicken

They would have been more if I did separate the chicks from the mother hen on time.

What I do now, when the hen hatch, I give her 2 weeks to raise the chicks, then I separate her from the chicks, in less than two weeks, they usually go back laying eggs.

Will keep updating on progress made

I discovered a way to increase production, one the hen hatch, after 2weeks I separate the chicks from their mom and in 2 weeks, she starts laying again.

If you don't touch the eggs or change their position, thy can lay up to 15 b4 thy start covering (boarding).
I have a native hen that just started laying 5days back, as at today she has layed 6 eggs, I eat 1 tho.

Take the seed at the lower part of the pawpaw, soak them overnight, then remove anyone that floats.
You will definitely have all females.

The male finally came in last night at 9 weeks old, a week younger than the female
