I am a full-hearted campaigner for women's right which makes your welcomed advice on why not to be entitled valid yet a reiteration.

Pretty women force me to hug them after fighting to be in my lives. That first hug is often accompanied by an inquiry process because these ladies find my life intriguing. After involuntarily playing detectives for a couple of days, sometimes weeks or months, most of them suggest that I need "someone like them" to care for me. They stress that I deserve to be loved.

I have never believed I deserve someone's daughter. I think I am too poor to make a promise to love and cherish a human female. Contrary to the norm, the girls think I am their entitlement, birth right, soulmate or whatever you'll love to call it.

I always tell them that romance is for the wealthy, but they always insist that they are made for me and we will grow as a couple.

If girls perfectly made for the runway see a poor me as Mr. Right, I am certain a rich me can contract marriage with a beautiful woman in my living room. It doesn't matter if she's always dreamt of wearing a long white wedding dress and walking down the aisle at a well trimmed field, decorated with roses, hibiscus and lilies since childhood.

Imaima1 , I have responded here.

One thing I can assure you is that you’re very much entitled to your illusions. As long as they keep you going...

Even your master used to be at the phase you’re in, and now he’s singing a different tune.

The legality involved in a marriage at a registry is what should make you not consider it except you love your bride more than anything you owned, currently own or will own, including your future kids.

Apart from hating gatherings of more than 5 people, I can't kneel before a Pastor. I wish to wear a night gown for a 5-minutes wedding in my living room when I'm ready. Her parents hand her over to me and my parents then I move upstairs to focus on more important things.

Dude!
You’re not obligated to marry, neither are you entitled to someone’s precious daughter, so save yourself the effort!

Continuation....

The pressure on me lately had been so intense.. with my parents calling me lazy for staying indoors all the time, only Coming out to eat,( sometimes mom will refuse to give me food) and after much persuasion,I decided to get a job at a betting shop..but after three week, my dad and mom made me quit that job because I had to go to work on Sunday's which they didn't like....and now they want me to go look for another job not knowing what I pass through to get the first one and how hard it is for me being an introvert...

Let me just go straight to the main reason why I created this thread..

I am currently on the verge of going to jail for a long time after I used my dad's A.T.M card to purchase almost 400k worth of stuff online on Jumia... including the phone I'm using to make this thread... After months of begging for a phone but no one cared..

Only God knows how I feel right now..I just sit and say to my self "it shouldn't have gotten to this"

First of all, anything that has to do with betting is not a job.
Secondly, you stole that huge amount from your father? Whoa!
You’ve really wronged your old man on all levels. (Little wonder he’s resentful)

Well, the good news is, this is all just a difficult phase, and it’ll pass. But the power to make things right is in your hands.

TOTOnigga:
you think it's that easy?? You should have first ask the kind of relationship I have with my dad...we rearly
Talk to each other apart from "good morning sir"
If he wants to send me on an errand,he tells someone to tell me...me and my dad are like 1 and 100 since God knows when..

To make things right with your father, you will have to be the one to go to him and not the other way around.
Make consistent efforts to win back his trust and love, and in time, your efforts will yield. (Remember, you already lost the automatic love a father has for his son, now you have to earn it)
Humble yourself.
Do whatever it takes to win back your father’s heart.
Also, have it in my that you still have time to retrace your steps and correct your mistakes.
This phase you’re going through shall pass, but whether the situation become better or worse, it is up to you.

So, what do you intend to do?
It’s either you send him the printer he already paid for, or you refund his money. It’s that simple.
I don’t know what you’re confused about.

Nigerians will use every opportunity they get to ridicule this government.
A government that is unkind to the people shouldn’t expect loyalty from the people.

If it were up to most people, Tonto will remain sad for the rest of her life so that they can always have something to mock her with.
Most Nigerians never truly wish happiness for others.
When you’re joyful, they wail nonstop!
When you’re down, they want you to remain down for the rest of your life!

Small wedding or big wedding?

Well, almost every lady who grew up watching fairy tales as a little girl wanted a big wedding and the running into the sunset, living happily ever after with her Prince Charming.

For some, the dream remained, and for others it changed depending on the kind of person they grew up to become.
For me, considering the fact that I don’t like publicity, I’d say I prefer a private wedding, then again, it wouldn’t be just all about me.
One must consider others (family members) involved as they (their opinions) matter too. (If you value them)
One cannot just be totally selfish about what concerns two families, because it’s not just about a couple getting married, it’s the marriage of two families. (The both of you did not fall from the sky)
Your dad becomes my dad and my dad becomes yours, as my mum becomes your mum and your mum mine, all the way down to siblings. (Addition to family)

You know what I think? In our traditional setting, the wedding (ceremony) is truly for both families (especially the mothers grin), while the marriage is for the couple.
