Takinra.com a subdivision of Takinra Limited is an electronic platform designed to give farmers, producers and customers a direct channel to market and buy fresh farm produce. We intend to achieve this by connecting farmers to buyers locally & internationally, attracts local & foreign direct investment into agriculture and creates jobs, reduce unemployment, improve food security and people livelihoods.

We want to add value to the agricultural sector by enabling Nigerian farmers sell their products as quickly as possible, increase value for their produce, maximize their earnings by selling directly to consumers, and attract local & foreign investment into agriculture business.

How it works
1.)Farmer completes the registration form and agreement form
2.)Profile is created on the website
3.)Upload produce to the website(Farmer to determine the price per Kg)
4.)Clients makes order on the website
5.)Takinra sends order note to the farmer(daily,Weekly) as orders are received
6.)Farmer delivers the items on the order note to Takinra's Operations Centre
7.)Takinra's Quality Assurance team receives produce and inspect them
8.)Produce that meets our quality is accepted
9.)Payment is made to the farmer (Electronic payment)

Things to Note
i.)We are very particular about quality and we will expect you to send produce that are of high quality and in good condition
ii.)You have the flexibility to change the price on the website at any time but note you will be required to sell at the price on a customer's invoice.
eg If the price of a KG of pepper is 100 naira at 9am today and a customer makes an order at this price and an hour later you change the price to 150 naira, you will be obligated to sell at 100 naira.

Please answer the questions below
1.)Will you be willing to deliver your produce to Surulere , Lagos State
2.)Are you interested in moving forward with this partnership

If you are located in the south-west and you are interested in working with us kindly send a mail to customercare@takinra.com.

Politics / Re: Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyer Speaks To BBC World On Situation On Ground by MarineOne: 12:03am On Sep 17, 2017

There are over 250 tribes in Nigeria. How is it that all these tribes are against the Igbo tribe? Is that possible? Does that make sense? Even the many minority tribes in Nigeria do not always play victim like the Igbo tribe.

There are some things wrong that the Igbo tribe needs to fix from within & some of those things include (but are not limited to) leadership & unity.

Politically, South-East leaders are probably the weakest leaders in Nigeria cos they are hardly pro-active & they are so used to 'siddon look'. Look how long it took them to find a solution to Nnamdi Kanu's situation.

Come on, nobody is going to dash anyone presidency...you need to plot the politics & grind it. You need to make alliances & connect with other regions & parties. What we have in the south-East is people who do not want to connect with other regions of the country politically but want to be president.

Secondly, the south-east is the most divided region politically...South-East leaders don't get along with each other as much as the leaders in the other regions of Nigeria do. Also, the populace/masses in the South-East are too emotional/sentimental that they typically think everyone in the country is their enemy & is against them & that makes them vote & support only people that are champions locally but don't matter on the grand scheme of things. Look, ironically, the great leaders from the south-East that have done a lot in Nigeria today & that most Nigerians like & think can make great leaders on the national stage are hated or disregarded in the South-East. Rochas, Dora Akunyili, Ngige, Charles Soludo, Oby Ezekwesili etc are mostly hated or disregarded in the South-East.

Meanwhile, these people have proven themselves as great leaders on the National stage....if only they and/or people like them had more support, today's story would be different.

I say all these with absolute objectivity.
on point.

they need to be smart and strategic

I wonder too. How are we like this, to us the end justifies the means.

We are positioned to help you get more value for your investment in agriculture
Agriculture / Market Your Farm Produce by MarineOne: 1:31pm On Sep 08, 2016
Please allow me the opportunity to share some few things on how you can market your farm produce at no extra cost to you.

Current realities in Agricultural sector
1.) Inability to know the current market price
The farmers most times are usually in the dark as far as current market price is concerned. The farmers do not know the information on the existing prices of the products at other important markets. By and large, the farmers rely on the price information furnished by the traders or middlemen. The price information provided generally is quite advantageous to the traders, rather than to the farmers who have little or no access to information about market opportunities and potentials
2.)Small and Scattered Holding
The agricultural holdings are very small and scattered throughout the country, as a result of which the marketable surplus generated is very meagre. It is not an easy task organizing how the goods can be assembled for efficient marketing.
3.)Forced Sale
The financial obligations committed during production force farmers to dispose the commodity immediately after the harvest though the prices are very low. Such forced sales or distress sales will keep the farmer in vicious cycle of poverty. Generally farmers sells their produce at an unfavourable place and at an unfavourable time and usually gets unfavourable terms.

Our solution
We have developed an online market place where sellers can transact directly with buyers and realize a better price for their produce, while buyers at the same time can reduce the number of intermediaries in their supply chain thereby getting farm produce at more competitive prices.
The system is based on a creative integration of web and mobile internet, employing deployment of first class Information technology solutions to the most remote farming communities in the country.

Benefits of using our solution
-Ability to update prices of products online to reflect the real-life market dynamism.
-Ability to determine price of produce without the interference of middlemen.
-Wider market audience as your products will be on the Internet
-24 hours all year round market space
-We provide end-end delivery to the client.

Our dream
To provide an effective farm network eco-system using technology to enhance profitability in agriculture and to provide an efficient one-stop platform for end-users.

If interested in using our solution to market your farm produce, Kindly send a mail to customercare@takinra.com

My South East brothers who are wont to calling PMB all sorts of names. My question is WHO IS MORE OF A DULLARD BETWEEN UMAHI and BUHARI? I staunchly believe it's the former.

a) Ebonyi is one of the poorest states in Nigeria with low monthly allocation and poor IGR yet the Governor could donate 2016 Prado SUVs not to school principals or civil servants but to House members who already has.

b) The price of the lowest 2016 Prado SUV is
52,990 dollars, if dollar to naira is pegged 1-#300,that's around 15,897,000.
http://www.themotorreport.com.au/62136/toyota-prado-2016-australian-price-and-features-gx-gxl-vx-kakadu

c) What happened to INNOSON Motors? What happened to buy Nigeria to raise the naira campaign by the Twitter SINator BMB, I could remember how our Ibo brothers vilified Ambode for not patronising Innoson only for Wike to donate Honda cars some days later.

d) If the FG had bought this same Prado SUVs, the noise of PMB being anti-Ibo would be trending on Twitter.

e) I challenge Nairalanders in the South West to this exercise, whenever you see an Ibo man hawking anything in traffic, ask him his state of Origin, there is 75% chance that he is from Ebonyi, it used to be Akwa Ibom before. Political Platform on Raypower challenged its listeners to it and I found out it's true

f) If your governors wouldn't patronise INNOSON, no one else would.
I am sure many will QUOTE me that I'm obsessed with the Ibos, I'm only a Nigerian who loves the truth.

I love your logical arguments laced with facts. Kudos

I disagree, street hawking has been outlawed hence not a legitimate source. Its like justifying drug peddlers, the fact you feed and live based on a way of life or job does not make it legitimate.
Please them find a more legal way of conducting their businesses

The policy is nt targeted at any tribe or religion. It may be painful now as it will deprive some pple their means of livelihood but on the long term its an excellent policy. Government has a responsibility to protect the lives of every citizen and as such shuld not allow citizens do things that will harm them. Street hawkers endanger their lives and the lives of road users.
