FisifunKododada: I hope my so called liberal Yoruba people are paying attention to this thread. I am very uncomfortable with Igbos have large communities in the SW. Because, it is only a matter of time and they will start saying - 'no mans land' 'Port Harcourt is Igbo land' 'parts of Lagos is Igbo land' etc. These people are the problem with Nigeria. The earlier we wake up and smell the coffee the better. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT SAW IT ONCE YOU ALLOW AN IBO MAN BE FREE IN YOUR TERRITORY ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE HE CAUSES CHAOS |
Politics › Case Of Yoruba Region/ Independence by Markfemi2(op): 4:54pm On Jul 30, 2017 |
With a recently awakened Niger delta its time for every region to look inward on how to liberate itself as we speak Niger delta as realized the power of its oil when they smashed all the pipelines in Niger delta immediately Naira tumbled and every ones value of money from south east to north west tumbled.
In summary Yoruba need to have rights to defend their own purchasing power and not by niger deltans same thing applies to Non Niger deltans as well.
What does this mean if the Niger delta don’t get their way all they have to do is threaten to blow up pipeline and everyone gets into formation They are holding Nigeria by the jugular From their own point of view its great and it works for them and they get their way it has also proved Nigeria does not understand dialogue rather the use of force
Coupled with the value of oil safe to say in the next 10 years Niger delta will have full control of its oil and oil will have lesser value
Now what must Yorubas do? As we are part of the Nigerian entity that depends on Niger delta dollars to power its industrialization note not in every single way but safe to say at least 55%
I will advise all regions to start planning for a post oil economy
The West has fought for Nigerias democracy despite having to do in alone in south as Niger deltans were not politically active and southeast was still recouping from war. Now SS/SE in opposition has led to the battle for restructuring and an equal Nigeria even though I find it weird they did not discuss it under GEJ but they are doing it now which is not a bad idea. SW has fought for democracy and its time for SS to fight for fiscal federalism and equal Nigeria
What will be the new Yoruba land 1) WE DON’T WANT LOCAL COLONISATION WE WANT ALL YORUBAS ACROSS KWARA(ILORIN) AND KOGI WEST TO JOIN US 2) WE WILL ASK EDO AND DELTA IF THEY WANT TO JOIN US AS AUTONOMOUS TERRITORY IF THEY DON’T WANT NO PROBLEM |

Malawian: Lagos was never yorubaland just like Abuja is not Hausaland. IPOB have hoisted Biafran flag in Abuja, Lagos own is just a mere formality.
Meanwhile for those asking Yoruba to join the protest, which flag are they going to bring with them? I don't have time for your mama nkechi lagos is no mans land The best way for Igbo not to disrupt peace with Yoruba is avoiding disruption of regular activities Same mistake ojuku made Limit your wahala to your territory |

The reason why ipods don't pray to their ancestors is because most of their ancestors were criminals killed for drug offences. How do you pray to an executed criminal?
Greed everywhere. Even their wedding dowry lists looks like something written by a kidnapper. You find something like '30 roofing sheets for the ancestors'. Are the ancestors sleeping under the bridge in the afterlife? Chai this is wickedness |

Justiceleague1: They should go and appease that abobaku that they buried with their king, out of the abobaku's will.
It happened in 1505AD, i was there the abobaku begged for his life but it had fallen into deaf ears, I even tried to plead with my fellow abobakus but all in vain ( Because as of that time i was an abobaku)
And finally the abobaku placed a curse on our tribe,
ausa/a4onja will never have peace
ausa/a4onja will always be oppressed
ausa will be very aggressive
pulani/ewedu will live as 10th class citizens
ausa/amala women will be prostitute
and finally the big one
ausa/ewedu will have no other business but drug dealing
After he was through with the curse I knew our ausa/amala tribe and generation were doomed
That's how i decided to commit suicide
And thank God i was born into a peaceful tribe Boring ! |

TonyeBarcanista: SW did not lay claim to Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi, the people are the ones that said they are Yoruba, this is same way Ijaw indigenes in Ondo, Edo, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Akwa Ibom states make pronouncements of their Ijaw heritage without a 3rd person making claim on their behalf.
It is insanity for one to be "claiming" people who said they aren't what you assume them to be. Fair enough I agree |

Agbaletu: Omoiya mi, the Yoruba parts of Kwara and Kogi see themselves as Yorubas and SW did not at any time lay any claim to them. My paternal grandmother's family and others in Jebba and Ilorin have always been seen themselves as Yorubas. Wherever we are, Yoruba is Yoruba, forget about the useless political and military boundaries. I agree but we must agree anioma in delta is igbo ! We Need Kwara and Kogi back |

hilroy: I can see that you are very myopic and unexposed. First, Nigeria which southwest is part of is a 3rd world country, hence you can't rule out poverty. Even US that is a 1st world country has slums, ghetto and poverty not to talk of Nigeria. We Yorubas don't go about self-denying reality like you Osus that make everyone believe that your roads are tarred with platinum and gold whereas your region is the 2nd most impoverished region after the war ravaged Northeast. You mention Makoko, Ijeshatedo, Agege, Bodija etc. But only if you know that these places are like heaven compared to majority of Igbo towns and villages like Ivo, Ezeagwu, Igbo-etiti, Nkalagu, Ogbunike, Ihiala, Ekwulobia, Ishiagu, Umudike, Akpakume-Nze, Umueke, Ahiara, Oji river, Abala etc. you will cry your eyes off. People are dying of hunger in Igboland on a daily basis, go there to help them and keep your worry about southwest to yourself we don't need them Chai this boy you wicked |

We respect fayose here more than him because despite all his flaws, he his a man of his words. Ffk is like is father - chameleon. You can't champion a yoruba cause if you're not an Omoluabi(someone with integrity). That's the beauty of the yoruba race. You can't "bobo" us with words. Unlike the igbos, we are 70% logical and 30% Emotional. So even if ffk tells me that Jesus is lord, I wouldn't believe him. Same way Jesus rebuked the demon possessed girl calling him lord. All attacks on ffk nothing on his message Not everything in Nigeria is logical Is it logical lagos has 20 house of reps and Kano has 44 ? |
