All big apps, all the big players in the field are updating their UX and design.

And usually, it rolls down into smaller players. And in the next couple of months we will se most apps/websites/OS changing their design.

neither do I want an iPhone.

First, LG G (range) have a great battery life. They simply won't die! and they are Dual SIM as well.

Second, Apple doesn't make dual phones. There is no dual sim iPhone.

It's called HOMTOM people! Not TOM TOM. Try to remember!

HOMTOM is smartphone.

TOM TOM is a car GPS.

The transition to a 'more' minimalist user interface has been happening for quire some time.

Even in iOS, the new UI is less colorful and simpler.

Is your device locked to a particular network?

Or have you seen the device working prior to buying it?

The name 'Apple' was used by Jobs to make tech and computers more appealing to the masses. Because everybody knows that new technology tends to scare people.

What device did you root? I would be careful because a fault root can lead to an useless device.

Try to perform a factory reset and see if it works afterwards.

You can check your device's IMEI on any online IMEI checker available.

Have you checked if the new upgrade altered your device ROM?

You can check your ROM like this:

MENU -> System Settings -> More -> About Device

It started yesterday with WhatsApp crashing severally, just now it has spread to other applications too.

Well, it seems that this issue spread to the whole device.

This is how Apple decides what technology is old. They dispose of it.

If I may, I would add also Content Creation, such as content marketing. There is an urgent need for content writers right now. And the barrier to entry is quite low.

You never know exactly if your network is the one to blame.

A lot of data is used for apps that update in the background (IG, Facebook, 9GAG, etc).

You can install a data usage app and monitor your data during a given period of time.

There are several apps that record your data. You can try one like My Data Usage.

Are you sure is this a screen issue and not a device/hardware one?

I am wondering if somebody will be able to activate live location remotely and track your device without your knowledge.

Anyway, this is a sleek feature, given that WhatsApp uses less data than other messaging apps. A great feature if two friends are trying to locate each other

Xiaomi Redmi 4 (4X) is a personal favorite of mine.

With up to 4Gb of Ram you can play anything with it.

I will go for it if I was looking for a device decent enough for gaming.
