Presuming that budget won't be a proble, I would go for the iPhone X, which is way more interesting, from a lot of points of view.

You can get it for an even better price if you opt for a two year contract and the unlock it. I did it using this service: https://www.unlockunit.com/unlock-samsung-galaxy-note-8-062441 and it worked great, but you can also try other code providers, like sim-unlock.net or cellunlocker.

These are just rumors, let's not take this new feature for granted...

Windows Phone was always a bad idea, if you ask me.
