I don't know why anyone would rate the La Liga more than the English Premiership.
The La Liga used to be great in the past but things have changed remarkably these days and if u analyse the quality of players in the EPL these days u will marvel.
Was it a coincidence that all the Premiership clubs topped their groups in last season's UEFA Champions league?
Anutha coincidence that there were 3 Premiership clubs in the last 4 of the Champions league last season?
Premiership clubs have reached the finals of UEFA in the last 3 seasons?

I second that!!! The EPL is un arguably the best in Europe, taka a look at the last three editions of the UCL: 2004/2005 Chelsea and Liverpool were the 2 English teams in the semi-final, how many spanish teams were there?
2005/2006: Arsenal also got to the final despite loosing to Barca
2006/2007: Three English teams got to the Semi's, am sure that is still fresh in ur heads, so I wonder where the arguements between Spanish and English leagues always arise.

England also hav the most consistent top for in Europe, and their top four cannot be compared to any in the "Whole" Europe, so I think the case between this two leagues is settled.

So far we have only signed Eduardo and other targets seem to be going to other clubs. We've lost Henry, who admittedly didn't really contribute last season and throw in a few more squad members such as Ali, Flam and the 'Beast', on paper we are actually weaker than last season . Tottenham on the other hand have made a few signings of note mainly Bent and now Kaboul even though there are a few more these 2 have the potential to improve them immediatly.

Now this isn't a "Wenger must spend or we're doomed" post, I just want to grasp wether people here actually think we are in danger of loosing our Champions League status or wether the gloom merchants are over reacting as usual.

My personal opinion is a balanced one, I firmly believe in the potential of the current squad, even if it is a bit threadbare. And if we stay injury free for the most part belive no matter what the naysayers say we can psh Chelsea and Man Utd all the way. My worry is the way the our current bunch will act in the face of adversity, I dont see anyone really able to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and rally everybody else.

But being realistic and not just a fan I do believe that Spurs are closing in fast and if we have a season like the last two we will find ourselves outside the top 4 which would be a temporary disaster for a club of our stature, but am confident the lads can now push on and show a vast improvement with an addition or 2 more.

Come on Arsenal, come on Wenger and come on the new season it's been far too long already

The tournament has been fantastic and fasinating with alot of young talent, I hope Nigeria goes ahead and progresses to the finals, by sitting up abit.

Let's look at next season, with all the transfer speculation and gossip floating around, we are not certain if we will strengthen our first team the way it needs to be for next season. However, with Dein's and of Henry's depature, and many other unsolved troubles circulating, it seems as if it may affect our squad in the long run.

We are expected to finish in the top 4, however a 4th place finish is not enough this year, as Wenger acknowledges that his side need to challenge for the title next year. With the Spurs, Magpies, Pompey, and other mid-table teams splashing cash, will we be able to maintain our spot with our team as-is (presuming we don't add anyone)?

How do you think we will fare next season? B/cos we certainly need another striker that will partner Da silva and RVP if ADE goes for the nations cup,

Am sure we will still push towards the title next season.
