Hmmmm, such a bad way to start a marriage. But it would have been ok for you and your husband to go for medical check-up before moving to the altar.

Pls let's stop usin' the word 'Temple', it's an ancient word, in this modern age, we see temple as a shrine or somethin' diabolic, I think Church would be more appropriate.

Y'all was lucky 2 have escaped the spirit of draw, twas really knockin' on your door yesternight, you should be really happy for that goal instead of lamentin' some squandered opportunities by your players. Remember the league is still open.

We played shyte in the first half, though we were more purposeful up front in the 2nd half & we should have been more than a goal up, to me the most important thing is that we got the three 'vital' points, & am happy for that.

To me Liv'pool hav not been dat convincin dis days, 2 home league games without a goal, & also d heat in on Paul Ince after a series of defeats, I think Blackburn would come out strong & if care isn't taken, they might suprise everyone.

Ujujoan:

Telling the truth does not justify the crime. Maybe its wrong to lie but the way I see it, if he valued her, he'll not tell her he's having a 'fling'. Thats like saying '. . I'm fucking that girl, but its you I love'. Thats absurd. Guys that love their GFs will rather die than have her find out he's cheating. I know its bad to lie but think about it, that the least of the probvem here.
To tell you the truth: Love endures all things and to me, I think it should be appropriate for the guy and the girl to be reciprocal to each other i.e opening up to each other. So to me it was the best thing to do, I know it might take the girl time to get over it, but that is the best way rather than the girl finding it herself - Thar wound be disastrous!

Ujujoan:

If he loves her, why is he having a fling. And he even had the guts to tell her. It means he dosent respect her or value her. He really dosent care if she walks away. The guy's a jerk and the girl is very stupid if she stays.
So what you wanted was for the guy to lie to the girl? To me I think it is good the guy told her the truth and it was left fot her to demonstrate her love by responding in a positively way instead of just walking out like that.

United's defence will stifle Adebayor. . . . .

ManU will have a weakened back 4 cause Ferdinand is not 100% fit for this & we have to ask the big questions by whatever means it takes to do so. I don't care about SAF spouting off about us not being able to win playing pretty - we know that now. I don't care that he said ManU played better football than us at our place - we know it's bollocks.

In fact I want us to do more of what we did when we scored our 1st goal - deep early crosses into the area from the flanks for Ade to attack & cause havoc - and I want at least 1 player to be following him 3 yards behind to pounce on the scaps. We've shown we can play that way - I just want to know why we stopped - especially during this slump??

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Man Utd Vs Arsenal: The Die Is Cast! by marlet01(m): 6:38pm On Apr 11, 2008
Looking at the several factors going into this match, most notably our relatively big slump and possibly derailed atmosphere inside the squad after that loss to Liverpool, its very difficult to predict anything when it comes to this match. According to some, this current Manchester United team is the best thing since sliced bread, tongue tongue but its not quite as easy as that is it. Manchester United have their weaknesses just like any other team and this was very evident against Middlesbrough for example. We should look to take advantage of their weak parts and try to go for the points up there. The way things are looking at the moment for us, even a draw up there would be considered a successful result.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by marlet01(m): 3:26pm On Apr 10, 2008
People need to realize how incredibly thin the line between triumph and heartbreak is at this level. We were 5 minutes away from a great european night, where no doubt we would have received a media self-service-fest about the incredible ability, style, quality, and mental strength by the brilliant team that has finally come of age.

Instead, we now have to hear all about liverpool's european legend and benitez's tactical mastermind. I have replayed the so called penalty a thousand times over, and no matter what team you support, there is absolutely no chance in hell that that was a penalty. Fabregas gave babel the slightest of pulls outside the area, but that doesnt matter because it was Touré who was judged to have comitted an offence, and if you watch closely, babel, aware of gallas's presence just in front of him, was clearly trying to make contact with Touré using his left arm before he tripped himself over. From any angle you look at it, there was absolutely no contact made by Touré what so ever. It was the most stone cold dive you will ever see.

What bothers me so much is people who say 'its your fault that you did not kill the game off' or other random highlighting of faults in our game, which, as legitemate as they are, does not in any way change the fact that we would be heading into a semi final tie with chelsea right now had it not been for yet another refereeing cock up. It was not because of the kop, it was not because of beintez or gerrard or torres or reina - it was not because of one wrong penalty call, but it was because of "Wenger"
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by marlet01(m): 3:49pm On Apr 04, 2008
Brown for me is being covered by Ferdinand and Vidic, I strongly believe that, if brown were so good, Fergie would have made him wear the shoes of Vidic when he was injured against Roma cause Fergie would have been commiting "Football Suicide" Brown cannot even be compared to Eboue or Sagna, he would be at par with Hoyte in ratings, so please enough of this Brown issue. cool

Back to the thread.

I don't think Wenger will put a weaker side, but I am sure Rafa will field a side minus two or even three his best available XI. Hyppia might not play at all this weekend. Their defenders looked knackered on Wednesday night.

The thing that worries me is the team's defense, especially the RB position. Touré was dumbfound in the last two games in that position. As much as I dislike Eboue, I am seriously between the two minds on whether to see Eboue being slotted in there. undecided undecided

I would rest Ade if I were Wenger. The team will need a super fit Ade in Anfield. Playing Bendtner and Theo upfront would not be too bad, considering they will face a weaker Liverpool defense minus Mascherano. Again, although Eboue being much to my dislike, this game in Emirates cool is the only game his presence can be indulged.

BTW, why no sight of Traore, Song, and Denilson? Don't tell me their confidence were too shattered after the cup games to face Liverpool.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by marlet01(m): 3:28pm On Apr 04, 2008
The magnitude of Wednesday's result will be visible to all in a week or so.

Our players are knackered and they can't be replaced. Liverpool have a massive edge as they can rest some players and still have a good chance at getting a result. Not to mention the fact that the harder they make us work on the weekend the less we will be able to do in the CL 2nd leg where they will have an even bigger edge over us.

We completely might have lost one trophy this wednesday and have a very high chance of losing the other within a week.

If I was Rafa Benitez right now I would be laughing at how good the result was for them on wednseday. They are in a ridiculously good position for both games and he knows that if he can make things difficult for us on the weekend we have even less chance of being a threat in the CL game.
