OK where are you from? Haters can talk and try to run down a tribe but they hide their tribes from getting the same treatment they dish out to others. Hypocrisy at his best. Yoruba land has no taboo in marriage and the same apply to most tribes i know.

Esan ladies are just toooooooooOo stubborn(but still don't mess with her), in a typical Esan village it's not difficult to find a native doctor, you can find two(2) in a street, but now na just phone call and they will use your destiny to play ten-ten, just 500 or less go just settle tje matter. A place where young kids and teenagers pride themselves more powerful than the other in spiritual matters

all these rules don't apply to all Esan people, most though. how many purebred Esan people can trace their lineage or family treee,some just 3 to 4 generations,while others can ttrace theirs to the era of slaves, some still have the canons in their possession and sound it when an important person dies.

Dis is so not true as a colleague of mine who is igbo but married to an esan man went on maternity leave(3mths) and resumed wit 1mth pregnancy though it was only her friends dat knew till d stomach bcame obvious.

To all those loosers that often look for anything negative to say when it comes to a certain state or tribe but when its news about Akwa ibom or Calabar witches thing you guys keep mute. What about ijebu ,benin etc and the ones in your village preventing you all to progess in life. Esan rock and haters go and die. Those ones with negative stereotype are always the first to cast stones. They are some tribe who are into cannibal, rituals and etc. African and Nigeria ethnic groups all have some weird practices before Christianity came. The only problem here the rules only apply to the ladies.
