I Think, the world and especially, some counties, dont wanna see the progress of Nigeria, i wont say, if they have an interest or they just feel happy each time there is misfortunes in Nigeria. For God sake, there are Kidnapping, everywhere in the world, but when it happens in Niger delta, BBC and some media, would magnify the issue, as if its something new in our vocabulary! it amazes me, am not saying that what the Niger delta guys are doing is right, but for God sake, let us be. and i feel some of our leaders are playing house-boys to they so called World Leader or they are just been diplomatic, i really dont know which one dem dey, cos i never see. Sometimes, some journalist residing in Nigeria working for all those International Media(BBC and CNN) are not helping matters, cos just because you are been paid in Naira or Dollars, i dont really care, does not mean u should sell your country. |
Hey guys, do you think this is a good move for our dear Peter Odemwingie, signing for Lokomotiv Moscow, a guy with his pace should be plying his trade in England not Moscow. Well i pray all goes well for him and he learns from Julius Aghahowa, anyway the deal is worth US $14 million |

WOMEN'S FINAL (ALL AFRICAN GAMES - ALGIERS) Nigeria and South Africa, would do battle in the final of the women's football in Algiers, Nigeria defeated, the host nation (Algeria) 5-0 to reach the final, while South Africa on the other hand defeated Ghana 2-0. Interestingly, Nigeria's Vera Okolo scored a hat-trick in the win over the Algerian's. So between Nigeria and South Africa, which of the two team is going to win Gold on Sunday |
Goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Nacer Barazite helped Arsenal to a comfortable 2-0 victory at Barnet on Saturday as Arsène Wenger’s side got their pre-season campaign underway. |
Thanks Brother, how i for do nah, am i Die Hard Gunner chap, Just trying to keep it real. |
Expect somersaulting Luka Modric in January Eduardo Da Silva will be joined by a former team-mate at Arsenal in 2008, according to our source at Dinamo Zagreb It seems as if Arsene Wenger will buy Dinamo Zagreb’s captain and playmaker Luka Modric, not now but in January. He is probably even better than Eduardo, a combination of Xavi, Cesc Fabregas and Pablo Aimar in style. His price tag will be about the same as Eduardo’s (£10m, around €15m – Dudu’s wages are about £30,000 per week) although the club have already turned down an offer of €15m from Shakhtar Donetsk. Even though the fee is the same, when Arsenal are involved, it’s different. You might ask why Arsene Wenger is waiting until January, and that he should snap Modric up now. I have heard the reason is “not to disturb the dressing room.” Whose, I don’t know.Does that mean that this autumn is the last chance for some Arsenal midfielders? It remains to be seen. Dinamo's "motto" is: "nema predaje, nema prodaje!"(no surrender, no sell out) and Dudu was sold merely because Arsenal wanted him (PSV, West Brom and Shakhtar were all turned down). They have tried to sign Robert Kovac from Juventus and not sell anyone, but for whatever reason the offer from Arsenal for Eduardo was successful. I believe he will be our last sale this summer, but these days you can't be sure of anything except dying, ![]() |
Hey, fellow Gunners(or should i say Comrades), , i just wanted you guys to read a lil truth about our new hitman or better still still "would be Hitman". truth about Eduardo at Dinamo Zagreb - A Croatian account.Dudu was 15 when his agent Suzano (pretty dodgy character) brought from Rio to Zagreb. It was in January and it was minus 10 degrees Celsius and twelve inches of snow, so you can imagine the shock for a young Brazilian who just came from hot sands of Copacabana! Despite the snow (the first in his life), strange language and unknown team-mates, Dudu showed his class and club decided to give him a chance, so he unpacked his bags in a country far away from his Brazil. His agent suddenly left him all alone (imagine that!) and Dudu was left with nothing, no money, no passport, no friends, just the club. It's true that he lived on stadium premises, but only for a while, certainly not in cold (although it was chilly for someone who just came from southern hemisphere). I know that, from a journalist's point of view, it sounds more effective that he was freezing to death, but it's just not true. He outclassed his team-mates in cadet and junior categories and was given a chance for the seniors (professionals, a-team) which he blew because he was seriously injured but didn't tell anyone about it! He was scared he would be dismissed and sent back to Brazil! Imagine that willpower, he was suffering great pain and didn't say a word. Luckily, his injury was picked up by the coaches and he was sent for an immediate operation. He recovered well and no one held a grudge for keeping the injury to himself. He showed us he has the will for big things. So, Dudu made it as a pro. His debut was in the Croatian Supercup (our version of Community Shield). Dudu came on as a sub and immediately scored against our arch rivals Hajduk Split (by the way, In their trophy room there's trophy that was given to them by ManU as a reminder of ManU's biggest euro-defeat - it was 6-0 for Hajduk!). The legend was born! Unfortunately, due to the incompetence of our various managers, Dudu was either sub or on loan. He was even called Da Svila (in Croat, svila=silk) instead of Da Silva. Now he's called Da Sila (in Croat, sila=force, power)! To cut a long story short, Dudu met a beautiful local girl, got married, had a kid, became Croatian citizen, won an U21 cap and all the time he couldn't stop scoring! It was shame that Pompey's Niko Kranjcar's dad was our national team manager for World Cup 2006, because he didn't care about Dudu (wasn't in our World Cup team) but only for his fat, slow son, He was our captain, this year league's top scorer and top assister (the year before he was second scorer, but only because he didn't take penalties). Dudu is a friendly guy, regular next-door-neighbour type, simple but very determined, injury-resistant, very cool finisher, quick and unpredictable dribbler, but best of all - he 's got nose for goal! All of us in Croatia hope he'll get his chance and quickly adapt to the Premiership and if he does that you'll get a new idol. As for us, there are plans to retire his number 24 jersey, but the only thing guaranteed is – and we're counting days – is his return to Dinamo. He promised it, and we know he'll keep up on his word! Somehow i know this guy is gonna be a big hit at the emirates, What do you think guys? Go Gunners, Go Dudu! |
Reyes returns to Arsenal, Real Madrid have sent Jose Antonio Reyes back to Arsenal after the two clubs were unable to agree a fee, according to reports in Spain. The 23-year-old winger moved to the Bernabeu as part of a loan swap deal with forward Julio Baptista, who failed to earn a permanent move to the Gunner Real opened talks with Arsenal over the Spanish international but baulked at the £13m price tag. |
CESC FABREGAS last night rejected a move to Real Madrid and insisted: “I couldn’t leave Arsenal in the lurch!”“I’m very grateful to Real and it is an honour that such a great club is interested in me. But after the departure of Thierry Henry to Barcelona I couldn’t leave Arsenal in the lurch. For all those prophets of doom, that has been wishing Arsenal Bad, i hope you are reading this, i dont know why people would just wish other's bad. The boy just said a piece of his mind that he aint going no where, did someone read in between the lines, in what he said "He added: “I would try to sign Eto’o — he would be the ideal replacement for Henry. I know it’s difficult, maybe impossible, but it would be the perfect solution.” Maybe Fabregas knows something we dont, He is a true Gunner. Watch out Guys, Wenger is gonna shock so many people, this coming daysssssss |
Let not your heart be troubled Chuckdee4, i think from his CV, this guy is gonna perform, i am not saying he is the Messiah, but his records, speaks for him, i have always known Wenger to go for the best he thinks would play his kinda futbol, Lets just keep our fingers crossed and keep praying, He might turn out to be the NEW TITI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HIS CV The 24-year-old has struck five times in the competition while continuing to star on the domestic stage - his 34 league goals in 32 games is a Croatian record and he ended the season with the first ever hat-trick in a Dinamo showdown with arch-rivals HNK Hajduk Split. |
Arsenal have swooped to sign Croatian international striker Eduardo da Silva from Dinamo Zagreb. The 24-year-old, who scored against England in a Euro 2008 qualifier in October, has signed a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium. The fee is undisclosed and Da Silva will be unveiled as an Arsenal player after completing a medical at the club. |
