All you all bashing the Nigerians trying to bail out the club, why don't you go and buy the club yourselves.

I detest scammers and I cant tell you how much I hate them. Having said that, Nigeria's population is over 140 million only few of this people are the ones sending dubious messages to people, and not even all of them are nigeria. Moreover, when it comes to scamming and frauding, it doesnt end or start with nigeria, there are dubious traders i.e rogue traders, scammers and fraudsters in all part of the world, UK inclusive.

These guys are just trying to do business and make something for themselves and make their country proud, all they're getting from some of you inconsiderate elements on here is abuse.

I bet if it was to send aides to Africa, all of you will be up for it. These businessmen are reputable individuals who love football and I bet they mean good for Newcastle United. They deserve encouragement, support and appreciation for their afforts!!!

Guys, Guys, Guys

Are you not a little worried that the Nigerian Consortium are "sourcing for money" just to buy the Club? Is this how they wil be "sourcing for money" when we need to buy a good defender, or will we be "sourcing for money" when Owen wants to increase his wages to match the country's top striker, even though I'm a better striker than him?

Beware of Money "Sourcers". If i have to source for money to buy a car, how in the world will i be able to afford maintaining the carhuh?

There is always new development to this story everyday, i wonder when the countdown to the buy over will be?

Nigerians prepare Newcastle offer
Mike Ashley
Ashley has pumped £250m of his fortune into Newcastle

The Nigerian businessmen interested in taking over at Newcastle say they are finalising their bid to buy the club.

The consortium is reported to have a £350m takeover fund to buy the Magpies from owner Mike Ashley, but they may need another £100m to secure the deal.

"We're at the stage where we are doing the security checks on the individuals who have the money," said London-based businessman Chris Nathaniel.

He also said they would be keen to welcome back former boss Kevin Keegan.

"Kevin's a legend on Tyneside and I think anybody looking to buy that football club would not be very smart if they didn't have Kevin involved in some capacity, that's if Kevin wants to come back," added Nathaniel.

"If I was advising anyone that was buying the club I would certainly suggest Kevin would be the right man for the job."

Keegan left his second spell as manager on Tyneside on 4 September, only eight months after returning to St James' Park.

His relationship with Ashley deteriorated rapidly and his exit caused fury among Magpies' fans, who demanded the owner sell the club.

Toon takeover serious - Nathaniel

Ashley has since put Newcastle up for sale, saying he is unable to watch the team due to fears over his family's safety.

Nathaniel, one of whose parents is Nigerian, runs football and entertainment consultancy NVA Management and he is the frontman for the bid.

The four entrepreneurs involved have requested anonymity until the deal goes through.

"They're used to whatever they go for they get, and they don't want to be seen as failing in their country if they don't manage to secure this deal," said Nathaniel.

Newcastle have appointed investment bank Seymour Pierce to handle the sale.

Day by Day, i think if Mike Ashley really wants to sell the club to the highest bidder, he is going to sell to the Nigerians: read the lastest gist on BBC:

The Nigerian consortium interested in taking over crisis-torn Newcastle has talked up its plans to buy the club.

Frontman Chris Nathaniel told BBC Sport: "It's a serious offer, they're very serious business people and passionate football fans.

"We're still at the early stages, but hopefully in the next 48 hours we'll be in a position to make a statement and take the situation further."

Newcastle have appointed investment bank Seymour Pierce to handle the sale.

Kevin is a hero on Tyneside, he'd be a great choice but I can't say too much

Chris Nathaniel on Keegan
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, who has pumped £250m into the club, wants to sell the club after fan protests against him following the exit of Kevin Keegan as manager earlier this month.

Since Keegan left the club over a dispute regarding control of player transfers, Newcastle have lost their last three league games and on Wednesday crashed out of the Carling Cup after a home defeat by Spurs in front of a less than half full St James' Park.

"Newcastle should be achieving more than they are," added Nathaniel of NVA management.

"There is long-term potential at the club, there is a lot wrong at the club at the moment but they are determined to put that right by getting the right people in and using the right structure."

But Nathaniel remained tight-lipped over suggestions the consortium would try to tempt former manager Keegan to return to St James' Park.

"Kevin is a hero on Tyneside, he'd be a great choice but I can't say too much," said Nathaniel.

The truth is that, if they are really genuine businessmen, they do have the rights to spend their money on whatever they want to buy, but if somehow, they are related to people in Government, that is where we can now start to question their intentions? They people that are asking why they did not invest this money in Nigeria's Premier League should wait until they turn into businessmen/women and invest their money in a system that does not work efficiently and see the rewards.

Magpies Set For Nigerian Takeover?
Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is reportedly close to selling the club to a Nigerian consortium who have expressed an interest in buying the club.

If the deal goes through, history will be made as it will be the first African consortium to take over a Premier League team.

The consortium, led by a company called NVA Management, is comprised of a set of wealthy African gentleman, who have so far reportedly offered Ashley £350m for the club.

Ashley has refused this, however, stating that he will only accept a bid of £400m. There was also some interest shown in the club from a Dubai consortium, but this has seemed to have faded as the bid was again to low in Ashley’s opinion.

The CEO of NVA Management has told KickOffNigeria that the Nigerians are now favourites to take over the club.

"All along I have been working hard to get wealthy and football loving Nigerian Entrepreneurs to buy the club since the owner Mike Ashley indicated his willingness to sell the club to the person, people or entrepreneurs that can meet the 400 million pounds selling price of the club," he said.

"Right now I am happy to tell you that well meaning Nigerians have responded and the consortium of Nigerian entrepreneurs has so far contributed 350 million pounds to buy the club but the club boss, Ashley stood his ground that he won't sell the club until the money is raised to the asking price of 400 million pounds.

"So what that means is that we need to raise another 50 or 100 million pounds to shut the door behind the other top Arab companies that are also interested in the club. The Arab companies have also indicated interest and made offer but they haven't met the asking price too."

I think we have so many students of economics here, trying to tell us how such money would have been spent, good as those ideas may sound, We never really stopped and ask ourselves that, its a Man of God we are referring to here, the Question we should ask is this, "Did God speak to him about this Project or Not"?, If God did, then we should not try to question this Project, but if he is doing it just to boost his ego, then we have a problem. So many people on here are hypocrites, you talk about the poor as if you really care about them, When was the last time you gave those on the street something? Who told you RCCG does not support the beggars or the homeless? The positive Side of this Project is that, 1. The Members of RCCG will have a better place to assemble, come rain, come sunshine, 2. Some fella's would be employed there to work.

It is like a Journey which you can deside to get to your destination no matter the pot holes and seen of accident on the way.
Marrage is quite enjoyable, you can make your marrage what you want it to be, by the help of the holy spirit.
I am a woman, I enjoyed my marrage even when I was pregnant and while nursing my babies.
Good enough you have not signed the dotted line, you can pray to get your missing bone. Ones that is done, make up your mind not to fail in the journey of marrage and you will see things just working to your advantage.
All you need do is to respect each other and each others openion, admire each other no matter what and also be tolerance.

@Martin007: I read the Bible. I studied it, intensely for 5 years in High school. I made

defend the indefensible.

You should now have the courage to pick up the Qur'an and you will get the answers to
whatever cloud Bible left on the table. Further, what you could not even attempt answer
above, the answers are clear in the Qur'an. God is One. He does not resemble any of His
creations. He is independent, while His creations are dependent, solely on Him. He is complete
and need no assistance. So He can not be three but Just One. Jesus is His slave and Messenger.
So, also is the Holy ghost/spirit, in the personality of Angel Gabriel.
You said you did study the bible for 5years? and you are sure you know all about the bible and we have fellas who have studied the bible for years and are still learning new things each day? i bow for you. Well, i think you were never a christian, even though you did study it for 5years and made good grades in it. Am so happy for your claim that studying the bible left more questions in your mind than answers and so you are now a muslim, am sure your questions have been answered. See, am still studying the bible, even as i am a christian and i cant fully answer the question of Trinity, cos its out of human scope or knowledge, but to the little God has revealed to me about trinity, i will like to explain it this way. We have have the imprints of the maker in each and everyone of us, have you ever considered why the human consist of (Body, Soul and Spirit) three components, but still that is 1( You sir Olabowale) you really can't explain why, can you? can you also tell me why we all are scared of dying? its because from the beginining, we were created to live forever and not die.

@Martin007:If the 'WORD' became flesh and dwell with us, please tell me, what
happened to the ONE WHO SPOKE THE WORD?

1. Did He not have any ability to Speak in the maintime, Yes or No?
2. Did His further utterances have not the same value as the 'Word' that became flesh?
3. Now that His word has became flesh, has His power of authority gone, diminished or the same?
4. Did His word by becoming flesh became the power instead of the speaker?
5 Between the Speaker and the Word that became flesh, which is truly the Master?
6 When the word died, did the Speaker who spoke the Word died also?
7. When the Word was on the Cross was the Speaker also?
8 When the Word was being tried by the people and the authority,, the Speaker also?

My man, I have tons of questions, and we can do this all day and ll night. Please answer
each and every one from your conscience, not from your head/tongue, so as to safe face.

I know you have lots of questions to ask, so does every "Man" in this world, cos even as Christians we don't claim that we understand all the "attributes" of God, his ways are not ours ways neither his thoughts our thoughts. Our God is Three in 1, whether its the God(Father) speaking or God(son) or God(Holy spirit), They all speak as one and their is no contradictions in their statement, cos they speak as 1. To all your questions you asked. The answer to those questions are all in the Bible, if you really want to know study the Bible and don't come here trying to claim you know all, i aint gonna mention anything about the Quran cos i have not read it. Look its true that Christianity evolved from Judaism, (Lets put it this way, its like A woman(Judaism) Pregnant with a baby(Christianity) it gave birth to Christianity, and as you know a baby, sometimes/Most times would be different from the Mother. so its Christianity, its very different from Judaism, thats why we still have some of the Books of Moses in the Bible, and we have no qualms about it. Look Judaism came before Christianity, and we as Christianity ain't doubting the fact that we have some similarities with Judaism, but i know Islam came way behind Christianity, so where did Mohammad get his "writings" from? Lets not deceive ourselves here, Mohammad did copy most things from the Torah and the Bible and formed the Quran with giving credits to Judaism and Christianity, to me i think thats piracy? grin.

I really dont have much to contribute right now, cause the truth is on the table, but for obvious reasons some people would not accept the truth, its been like that for years, whether we argue from now till Christ comes again, some people would not still accept the truth. The basis and foundation of christianity is this: "The Word Became Flesh and Dwelt among Us" I do not know of any other religion with that theme. God bless all the Defenders of Our faith.

In this time and age, i can see from all corners that its hard to remain in Marriage, so many things are not going on well, look at the economy, social life, religion, i mean Naija factor? Sometimes i don't blame those who get married to others cos of their wealth, but there are real dangers in such marriages. I wonder how many women on here or in Nigeria remain in Marriage, because of what their "church, "society", "family" would say if they decide to leave, or how many women are staying put in a marriage that is a crisis and outside the home they wear make up as if all is well. Would you stay in an abusive Marriage just because of your Kids? To all those whose marriages are on "icebergs" i pray God will restore such homes. I think women deserve better treatment from we(men) and vice - versa.

Myomy: I really feel for you, but on a more serious note, no man can help you except God, you are looking for a male friend, which is not wrong, but you would have to watch out, cos i feel at this time in your life you are very vulnerable to "Temptations" from other men, am here thinking about what you wrote that you just want a man that you would talk to and share your feelings with, oh my, wake up dear, remember also you wrote that, your husband would not even touch you, so if you find another man who eventually touches you and one thing leads to another, before you know it something you never imagined in your life would happen. Looking getting a male friend, is not bad, but it wont really solve your problems, having sex with another man would compound your problems. Don't you have a Pastor in your church you can talk to? what about your brothers, relations? are they all dead? I really feel for you, cos emotional torment is worst than if he had punched you self. I really wish you the very best and please take it to God in prayer.

I think, we as africans are naturally gifted athletes in every kind of sport you can think about, but i think the only problem we are having is that we sometimes "cheat with out true age" but that is not as bad as someone taking drugs. I guess the white man knows how to cover up his/her own error and then look for faults in others, why cant they like Akon, just take the blame and lets move on with life, its not fair.

We all saw it coming and finally its here, Martin Jol Coach of Tottenham has been showed the door!! I feel for him, with all the quality players at his disposal? They way things are going, i wonder where they would finish in the League table at the end of the Season? I thought they were challenging for the "Big Four" but they are down there "The Small Three"

Next season should be a little bit good for them, i heard Sevilla coach Juane Ramos has reportedly agreed to become Spurs' new manager at the start of next season.
