BusinessBeat Western Union, Moneygram Etc To Send Money To Nigeria (UK Residents ONLY) by Martinjol(op): 9:06am On Oct 20, 2015
Are you a UK resident that sends money home frequently and you usually use Western Union, MoneyGram, TransferWise and the likes, I'm offering a peer to peer idea to beat these middlemen as I usually have naira but I need pounds. Note that I don't offer the reverse i.e you want pounds and you give me naira - that's a no no.

I will give you internet rate of the day and NO CHARGES. You can agree with me that the aforementioned platforms beat down the internet rate and still charge you. If you're interested, please email marto_fbi@live.com OR sleekmartin@yahoo.com.

Note that you will have to transfer the pounds to me first before I transfer your naira to the Nigerian bank details that you give me - You can understand why because it's easier for you to find me out for fraud with my details here than for me to find you with your Nigerian details. You will get your money almost immediately via internet banking. Maximum wait will be 24 hours.

Please also note that this is subject to availability as I do not have an infinite amount of naira. Whatever amount you need though, please check with me first by email. I reply quickly - almost real time. No amount of money is too small but some amounts may be too big.

No catch here. You're helping me and I'm helping you. That's it

Business To BusinessRe: How To Buy From Uk At Good Retail Prices And Ship To Your Doorstep by Martinjol(op): 10:40pm On Mar 31, 2013
Hello everyone

Thanks to everyone that’s following this thread. It’s actually not as easy as I thought it will be. Let me point out that I’m an MSc student here and I’ve got other commitment too. I would therefore need to point some things out here.

First is that I can get anybody a quote but please note that if I get you a quote today, I cannot guarantee that the same price I gave you today will be available as the same in anything more than two days time. The reason for this is that everyone (even the whites) love low prices so if you as the buyer don’t pay on time, someone else might just go ahead and buy it. For this reason, I’ll advise that if you ask for a quote, make sure you have your money at hand such that you can pay on that day or the next day (as soon as possible). If you don’t pay quickly, you could get lucky and the product still available even a week after but I cannot guarantee that. But that particular day or the next is your best bet. Therefore do not be offended if the first thing I ask you is ‘do you have your money ready?’ This is all in a bid to lock the deal down for you as fast as we can.

Guys please, it really is very cold outside so please do not send me on a wild goose chase. If you want something, please don’t ask me to go out yet and get you a quote unless you know that you already have your money in reserve. The responsibility also lies on you to know how much you can get what you ask for in Nigeria. This is because I do not know all fair prices of all goods. If you cannot get or you do not know the Nigerian price of what you want, I would then ask you ‘how much are you looking at?’ so that I can try to see if I can get you something less or in that region. I will also tell you outrightly at times if you cannot get the product you want at the price you asked. Also, I cannot drive here neither do I have a car that can transport me, I have to get on the bus every time I go to town. This is not very convenient so if I have to do it, it has to be worth my while to be out there.

Also, for those planning on reselling, I cannot always guarantee you a good price but on some occasions, we might get lucky. However the more things you buy at a go, the better the price you will get; that’s for sure. For those planning on buying for their personal use, you will mostly get a good price that saves you quite some money in contrast to what you buy in Nigeria. Also for this category of people, remember that the more you buy at a go, the better prices you will get.

The truth is that things come at good prices here. It is shipping that is exorbitant. That is why it is good to buy more.
Please if you ask for a quote, give me some time to get back to you, if I don’t, then please don’t hesitate to bug me very
well, it all depends on how ‘ready’ you are but trust I’d do my best to remember to do all.

I can help you to procure various goods from the UK (phones like blackberry etc, tablets, games, different IT gadgets; may be brand new and clean uk used and many more other goods) and shipped to your door step in Nigeria in just 7 days.

How to go about this.
1. Browse through Ebay UK, Amazon UK, or any other UK store you prefer and send the price/link of your preferred product to me. Include the necessary details please.
2. I will source for the product and mail you the total price including door to door shipping fee plus my small service charge.
3. If you are okay with the deal, you will send me a go ahead email along with the Naira equivalent of the quotation I give to my GTB account.
4. I will buy and ship to your door step.
Simple!

However, I can guarantee you of a better price and better condition (cheaper than ebay) if you get it from me because I would make a face to face transaction here in UK local stores. I noticed that items could generally cheaper at the local stores than the Internet. People here just can't be bothered hitting the streets to check. They prefer to do all on their computer and pay for postage delivery.
For example from my research, I got a brand new blackberry bold 9900 at the local store for £200, if I add shipping costs (£38) and my service fee (£10), this totals to £248 which is N63240 (at the rate of £1 = N255) compared to konga.com and jumai.com.ng of N73000-N78000.
So you can either send me your links or I buy for you from here at a somewhat cheaper price.

Shipping Cost
1.) Door to door shipping at £38 for 0.1 – 2kg and £48 at 2.1kg to 5kg (Lagos only, other states attracts additional cost).
5kg to 20kg is charged at £75 flat rate.
2.) My service fee is £10 per transaction and your good will reach you within 7 working days.
However you can choose to order more than one item as long as your particular kilogramme range is not exceeded, it will be just £5 to ship each additional item but once exceeded, you will pay for the new kilogramme range it falls into.

Pounds to Naira
I will collect Naira at a rate of N255 (may change) but if you are willing to pay pounds into my Nigeria domiciliary account, you would be paying 103% of the total quotation eg if your good is £200 and shipping cost is £38, and my service fee is constant at £10, your whole quotation should amount to £248 but instead you will pay 103% of £240. This is because the bank will charge 3% to transfer it back here in Manchester. If you pay Naira, you will pay 255 x £248 in Naira.
Cheers!

sorry guys. As much as I'll like to communicate with these people on a different platform, a number of them want it done here so the whole nairalanders can see. It's like a form of protection for dem. If you don't like it then I'd stop pasting ads here and request people to contact me themselves.

2fishes: Do U mind posting your bank details on here?
What is the time frame for delivery and mode?
Does it include shipping to other states outside Lagos?
you will pay N1500 or lil more extra if not lag but i'll advice that since everyone most times has someone in lag, ask the person to get it for you. use the person's address. It's delivery at your doorstep. takes 7 working days from the time I dispatch it. Also before you pay into my account let me know so that I can walk into the store maybe a day before u pay so that the good will not have been sold. I'm saying this because I could advertise it and it might have gone by the time I get there and you will have paid. I can only refund ur money easily if you also have a gtb account and even this way u will be disappointed cos you wl av thought uv locked down the product
