Dear op there is nothing really challenging or serious about those dreams; 1. the snake dream you dreamt was borne out of the snake stories you read about on nairaland three days ago where a soldier killed a python and made a delicacy out of it....... coupled with some nollywood fictions you have watched in the past. 2. For second dream, you are probably having regrets about the past....you need to move on because you cant change the past... There are two ways out of a bad situation; A. Never get into it in the first place or B. Make it better. 3. If you are still hunting for job, you need to polish your skills as this will help to boost your self confidence level. |

To guide but d bible should be the best guide for every christian because nowadays the world is now full of prophets of doom....First Thessalonians 5:20-21 says this: “Do not despise prophesying.” Unfortunately, many of us, having seen some of the excesses and some of the craziness that has gone on in the name of a so-called prophet, despise prophesying. Don’t despise prophesying, “but test everything, holding fast to the good.” I like that because, to me, one of the things Paul seems to be saying is, “Don’t get too worried about the bad.” Obviously we reject the bad, but maybe the issue here is not necessarily pointing out everything that’s wrong in a prophecy but just letting some of that pass us by and honing in on and holding fast to the good. It is not the prophet who we test; rather, it is the prophetic words. A powerful word can sometimes come from a new Christian. Equally, however, no word is true simply because it came from someone who has a good track record of hearing from God. We are not told to test the Bible. The Bible, we know, is true. But we have to test prophetic words by what the Bible says. enilove: |
Uncle Paul is not even moved by any yeye prophesy... In uncle Paul's letter to the Philippians 1:21 says, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Most people focus on the second part of the verse, “to die is gain,” and contemplate the joys of heaven. But we should not overlook what comes before. The importance of the phrase “to live is Christ” cannot be overstated. In all honesty, this phrase should be central to every Christian’s life. In this statement, uncle Paul is saying that everything he has tried to be, everything he is, and everything he looked forward to being pointed to Christ. From the time of Paul’s conversion until his martyrdom, every move he made was aimed at advancing the knowledge, gospel, and church of Christ. Paul’s singular aim was to bring glory to Jesus. “To live is Christ” means that we proclaim the gospel of Christ. Uncle Paul preached in synagogues; he preached at riversides; he preached as a prisoner; he preached as an apostle; he preached as a tentmaker. His message was constant: “Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). He brought the message of Christ’s sacrifice to kings, soldiers, statesmen, priests, and philosophers, Jews and Gentiles, men and women. He would preach to literally anyone who would listen. “To live is Christ” means that we imitate the example of Christ. Everything that Jesus did and said, that’s what Paul wanted to do and say. The church benefitted from his godly example: “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). What would Jesus do? That’s what we want to do. Summary: If you are ready to do the will of God by all means, no prophecy ( good or evil) can stop/scare you because you have become fearless. |
No correlation between what happened and what the pastor said.....I am not moved by any prophecy and this is d reason; There is a Common Destiny for All Ecclediastes 9 1 So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God’s hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them. 2 All share a common destiny—the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good, so with the sinful; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them. 3 This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of people, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead. 4 Anyone who is among the living has hope—even a live dog is better off than a dead lion! 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. 6 Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun. |
