mojounited: No, I don't live there. I do visit from time to time for work purpose.
You'll need to visit Enugu town a bit more to really enjoy and have a real feel of Enugu, because 9th Mile is one lonely and boring place (you can't even find delicacies like Okpa and Ofe Akwu).
Thanks. I plan to visit the town frequently when I fully settle down. Even though I don't eat, I know there's plenty okpa here.
manitobor: On the first of April 2019, I boarded an intra-city vehicle and dropped at my destination unaware that a guy sitting beside me in the bus had stolen my phone from my pocket. The bus I boarded had picked the guy on the way and he sat next to me. I had no inkling at all that he had the intention of picking my pocket though something told me that this guy's way 'no pure' as he was casting uncanny and surreptitious glances towards my direction, with a weird look on his face. Little did I know he was busy
It was several minutes after I had alighted at my destination that I realised that my smartphone was missing from my pocket. I used a friend's phone to dial my number and found out that the criminal had already switched it off. I resigned to fate knowing fully well that my chances of getting back the phone was slim. I however kept dialling my number till evening, it was still switched off. 6 AM in the morning of 2nd April I dialled my number again and it was ringing but wasn't picked up at the other end. After a few more attempts, the rogue switched off the phone again.
I decided to contact MTN that day to block the line, which they did. However, to my chagrin, when I went to the ATM that same morning to make a withdrawal, I found out the my account balance had changed and that the criminals have succeeded in withdrawing some thousands of Naira from my account. I rushed inside the bank immediately and blocked the account.
What I am still dazed about is how it's possible for criminals to withdraw money from someone's bank account just by getting hold of the sim card. Mind you, my phone can only be accessed via a PIN, so the possibility of them making a transfer using my bank's mobile app is ruled out. So how did they do it?
Has anyone ever been victim of such? Please share so others can learn.
Mods, can you please move to front page so others can learn? Thanks.
I think the banks are culpable or at least their staff are. I had this ugly experience too earlier in the year. ATM and phone were in fact on me all day, not stolen or misplaced but money still managed to be withdrawn from my account. I was shocked when I got email notification went to the bank they said the money is still in my account that it hasnt left yet. Filled all the forms they gave after complaining but they still went ahead and to debit my account after 2 days. It's such a a bad experience and until banks are held liable for happenings these ugly incidents will continue.
samsard: I spent the whole of today and a good part of yesterday Trying to get the right passport to upload, it's the most unnecessary stress any programmer has ever put me through, I can't count the number of passports I edited, on the internet, my phone & on PC. The dimensions were right, background color, positioning and everything. Yet it wasn't uploading. I was finally able to get a copy uploaded. My battery is at 28% from 100% with intermittent charging.
How did you do it bro? Haven't been able to upload mine

Kollyman: I have heard people complaining about the quality of service renders by their Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) the truth is that the PFAs don't exist in isolation, they have rules, guidelines and the PRA 2004 & 2014(as amended ) guiding their modes of operations. I want to seize this opportunity to say that the guides stated above are not inhumane but the interpretations by various PFAs creates the bottle neck that makes clients (RSA holders) suffers.
The truth is that most of the guidelines are available for the public consumptions but due to our attitudes to reading things we felt would not add an immediately value to our lives, we allow it slip through our hands.
I can confidently tell you that "if your PFA knows that you know where to run to when they give bad service, they wouldn't try mess with you". I remember those days when we have some customers walk-in through our door, we quickly assign the best hand to attend to them. This is due to the fact that if we misbehave in anyway as an organisation, we would be in for a serious trouble.
I have worked in various departments of one of the biggest PFAs in the country and I am privilledged to have access to some vital informations which could be useful to RSA holders.
Please note:
1. This thread is not meant to promote/demote any PFA 2. It is not meant to market any PFA or insurance products 3. Any service/advise given on this thread is without any cost /fee 4. Do not disclose your pension information to anybody 5. Other pension gurus in the house are also free to contribute
If your issues cannot be solved on this thread, I can likewise provide you with contact details of some top officials of some of the big PFAs in the country to enable you escalate to a higher authority within the organisation.
Please feel free to ask any questions with regards to your pensions.
Baby if u wanna make a career of this u gotta work on your presentation skills. #blessup!
