Alright. Thanks. I searched and found none but just needed to find out if it was written in your ITA letter or if they asked you for it.

Did you submit a bank statement or anything to show your Financial capability after you received ITA? I'll appreciate if you can share the documents requested for in your ITA letter. Thanks so much.

Thanks for your comments. For now I have not come across such requirement. But it is expedient that one should go with enough money to sustain you within the first 6 months or a year. This is with the assumptions that you will get something doing even if not your choice work within that period. You gradually get their local experience which is usually valued. These experiences will eventually land you your dream job as you progresses. Most important thing is to be prepared. It's not going to be easy but you will sail through.

@Jmakinde, Congratulations! Thanks for being selfless and sharing your journey to inspire others. I'm inspired. Yours is proof that one can still get ITA without a job offer even though job offer increases your points and chances of being selected. I'm not in the NZ race for now because my points though over 100 is not up to 160. I'm here by the sidelines, cheering you all on while learning the process and all it takes. Keep supporting the likes of us by providing your updates and answering questions as much as you know and can. Thanks again Bro.

Please, what's the minimum relocation amount one has to demonstrate to show the capacity to support self or self+family upon relocation or is this not a requirement?

Will the request for academic record form carries the student number?
Which student number are you referring to? Your number issued by CES or any evaluation body you're using? If so, Yes. You must include your reference number in all correspondence.

Congrats to those who have gotten PPR and aced IELTS in this part.

Good morning house,we may have friends /colleagues who have issues with WAEC verification ;this is a simple way to do it : Ask the person to buy a WAEC scratch card, then go on WAEC website to view his result. He should then save his result in PDF format and scan to WES via Hellofax (same way certificates are sent).Importantly,he should download the WAEC verification form on his profile (via WES website) and fill same by inputting the scratch card pin/details on the form .WES will use that to verify and his WAEC will be acknowledged within few days. He needs not to pay a dime to anyone. I hope this will be helpful to someone.
This process must be ages ago. See the mail I got from WES 2days ago in response to my enquiry. Me too am trying to save time and money, and to avoid bandwagon effect. Am kinda not happy I joined the bandwagon to WES. If I had researched. I might have gone with another body like CES or ICES

To be honest, I've gotten 2 contacts here that can help me with NECO but as situation be, am yet to contract anyone so while waiting, I decided to contact WES to ask. I also wanted to know if they can exempt a candidate who has a Masters degree.

Please my people be guided. WES says its a MUST.

PS: I'll try to tweet this question to them on Tuesday when they're back to office, see if a different response comes in. I'll share then. Anyone can also help us with further verification, let's know if WES says one thing and does another or perhaps some of their customer service people are not fully educated on their process like we see in some Nigerian Banks. grin

It took about 5 weeks for Unilag to dispatch my transcript. I hope you used courier? I used NIPOST and after 2months the transcripts still had not arrived so I had to write WES to take out the credential and assess only my MSc. which had arrived and had been verified.
Thanks. I used courier. I don't have the option of withdrawal. Am hoping for the best.

Who has successfully sent Unilag transcript to WES. How did you track? The instruction on the portal says your date will be updated with a tracking number yet its getting close to 3weeks now and Unilag is yet to provide a tracking number.

I've been issued transcript some years back so was expecting it to be fast this time since its in my file already. If you have a contact that can help, please let me know. Thanks.

The documents need to be complete before verification will be sent
I doubt it. WES has sent a verification mail to one of my schools even though the others are yet to send my transcript to WES. I got an email from WES notifying me.

@ans123. However all must be complete before the final evaluation report is issued.

PPR STORY

ECA: I graduated from Yaba Tech with ND and HND in Food Technology. When I realized ND and HND can be evaluated to 2 or more degrees, I decided to give it a try. I have an evaluated course by course WES US transcript. I requested that WES US transfer my documents to WES Canada and paid the 210 CAD. However, after transferring my documents, WES insisted that I must provide SSCE/WAEC verification. I complained and explained to them that I already have a completed evaluated transcript in 2016 and that WAEC was not a requirement then. After several calls and emails to WES, they insisted I must provide WAEC verification. Since I was scheduled to complete my master's degree in December 2018, I decided to remove my ND and HND certificate from my WES account and evaluated my Msc without WAEC. That meant that I had to wait till January to send my Msc transcript to WES.

Thanks to all, for all the information and insight, shared on this platform. May it all end in praise.

Please is the bolded still possible? That is skipping WAEC/NECO if you have an MSC? Who knows should answer

I was at Standard Chartered bank this morning to make enquiry. I was told the minimum I can invest through primary market is 50m, while for seconday market is 500k at 10%. How true is this info of 50m minimum for primary market?
Similar info I got from Stanbic IBTC this morning. Difference is IBTC Secondary Market starts at N100k but still at 10%. FBN Secondary Market from N5m, I didn't ask for the rate.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Marula: 9:40am On May 14, 2019
RealityShot:
yes..6 Months = N~30000

IBTC/FBN/GTB best to least
I contacted IBTC and FBN.
IBTC says for TBills I can invest from N100k rate is at 10%. That seems quite low. Money Market rate is currently at 12.6%

FBN said from N5million for TBills. I didn't bother asking for the rate as my money no reach. However their Money Market Fund is at 13.1% currently so am thinking of going for this with the whole N500k.

I used the Formular (Principal x Rate x 1)/365 to calculate the daily yield and that placed the Mutual Market Fund yield of FBN higher than the Treasury Bills or is the calculation faulty or different for Treasury Bills? Please help. I want to make an informed decision. Thank you.

House please feel free to weigh in on this

Pls tell me more about the money market fund. Thanks
Am a newbie to all if this but below is the explanation I got from a friend who is into both Tbills and Money Market.

Money Market fund is a Mutual Fund pool managed by banks. They use the money to invest in different things like Tbills, Shares etc. Rate of return fluctuates and you get your interest at the end of the fixed period whereas Tbills is strictly Fed Govt, risk free, interest is paid upfront and interest rate us determined by the Federal Govt. That's a simple summary.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Marula: 8:49am On May 12, 2019
RealityShot:
put that 500k in 1year Tbills
Then put the interest (~60k) in money market fund if
You may not need it in the next 30 days
When you reach 1 million, you can invest all in Tbills
Oh wow! Thanks. I may need the money before a year so am looking at a 6months investment and then take it from there. Can I do N500k Tbills for 6months and what will be the likely yield? Which Bank or Investment house will you advise? Thank you.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Marula: 1:09pm On May 11, 2019
emmasoft:

1. yes you can start with N500k
2. IBTC or FBN (my opinion)
3. for primary auction within the week of deal date. That means you can do so before 16th May for next primary auction
4. Mutual fund and Tbills are actually same in principle. in mutual funds, you are pulling funds together with other investors through fund managers to buy TBills.
Thank you for answering. I've decided to go with IBTC Money Market Fund and get more money and go into Treasury bills too.

Seniors please I need your guidance. I have N500k that has been sitting in a bank that I want to invest. I've read through the thread not all the pages though. My questions are:
1. Can I start with N500k or must it be N1m
2. Which bank or investment house is the best to go with
3. When is the best time for me to register
4. I've also been reading up Mutual Funds don't know between Tbilis and mutual funds which is better and which I can go for with N500k.

Thanks for helping out.

Please does one need to 'officially' adopt the Child of a Spouse for this process? Child has living with couple for over 10years.

Please house, I want to ask if is possible for WES to do ECA for both Canada and Australia using one account
WES does multiple with one account but they have institutions and embassies list that they mail to. You just need to specify the institutions. Canada (IRCC is mandatory). Australia should be one of them. I just logged into my Account to help you check but it requires the full name of the Australian institution.

Am a newbie but can tell you this for free: The thread is for everyone as far as I know. People here are selfless and would've answered your question if they knew the answer. It's better to get the right answer than any answer that you'll work with and later regret. My 1 cent. As for me I can never answer a question I don't know and mislead the poster. I'd rather keep my mouth shut in this case fingers off the keyboard. Peace!
