Camera samples from Tecno boom J7. The 8mp camera performs better than its counterpart. The flash is also better. Note pictures are taken under the same condition. Judge by yourself

Notification on Tecno boom J7
|
swisscarter:Tecno has used the Dolby sound system on some of their phones but this one is better . We are not only talking about sound quality here but general reviews ok |
The action features in tecno boom J7 and infinix Hot Note. The first screen shot is from tecno boom J7 while the second is from the infinix Hot note
|
The music app detects the type of music being played. The sound quality will blown ur mind away. I played the same music on the Tecno boom J7 and infinix Hot Note. The sound production from the infinix sounds quack and chinko ish. I was just playing music from the phone every minute. The sound quality is amazing believe me. I connected it with my home theatre, the full power was unleashed
|
swisscarter:. This is quite different from Gionee drop down quick setting. This is a dedicated screen shot icon on the drop down. This can be accessed when you swipe down from the top of the phone or by long pressing the menu button. |
I have just gotten this phone along with the infinix Hot note device. In couple of days I will be coming out with comparison of the two phones. Let me assure people that are still doubting the performance of the battery. The 2020mAh battery is the best I have seen so far. Let me also say this, tecno J7 has one of the best launchers any android phone could ever boast of, be it Samsung or HTC and the UI remains the very best of all MTK devices. Most of the system apps are purely built by Tecno. From the lovely calendar app to the high quality music app. This is great innovation from tecno.......... Check out the beautiful themes this launcher boasts of. Amazing right?

Kevlar® is a material formed by combining para-
phenylenediamine and terephthaloyl chloride.
Aromatic polyamide (aramid) threads are the result.
They are further refined, by dissolving the threads
and spinning them into regular fibres. When woven,
Kevlar® forms a strong and flexible material. If
layers of the woven Kevlar® are combined with
layers of resin, the resulting ‘rigid’ material is light
and has twenty times the strength of steel. It is also
superior to specialist metal alloys. However, Kevlar®
is expensive due to the demands of the
manufacturing process and the need for specialist
equipment. KEVLAR, KEVLAR 29 AND KEVLAR 49 There are three main types of Kevlar®. 1. Kevlar® is used as a reinforcement material for some car tyres and bicycle tyres. It helps dramatically reduce puncture rates. This standard of tyre is more expensive than ordinary road tyres. They are of particular use with 4 x 4 vehicles, especially when the vehicle is being used off road and far away from recovery services. 2. Kevlar® 29 is used in the manufacture of body armour (panels) for lightweight military vehicles. A good example is the US Army’s ‘Bradley Fighting Vehicle’. This has been used extensively in Iraq and Afghanistan. Kevlar® 29 was selected for its armour, because it is lightweight and withstands attack from RPGs. The Kevlar® 29 panels protect the soldiers inside the vehicle. Kevlar® 29 is ideal because it is lightweight and non-flammable and it offers protection from high temperatures (fire bombs, Molotov cocktails etc...). Kevlar® 29 can also withstand the harsh environmental conditions, found in hot climates. 3. Kevlar® 49 is used for specialist boat hulls and in the aerospace industry. It is popular as a material for boats because it is lightweight and can withstand a considerable amount of force (torque - twisting force), tensile stress and impact. Hulls manufactured from traditional materials, such as fibreglass, are limited in their resistance to forces and stress. Also, a lightweight boat is faster on the water and uses less fuel to complete distances. Eurofighter is relatively light compared to other similar fighter jets, due to the selection of Kevlar ® 49 as a material in its manufacture. This means that it can fly faster and further, before in-flight refuelling is needed. It is more agile than its rivals due to excellent force (torque - twisting force) and tensile stress resistance. The plane is more likely to survive being hit by small arms fire, compared to other fighter planes, as Kevlar ® 49 has excellent impact resistance. FURTHER ADVANTAGES OF USING KEVLAR Kevlar® has a range of advantages, not only its relative low weight and high strength: Laminated Kevlar® is very stable at high temperatures and it is impact and scratch resistant. Kevlar® is often combined with other materials, to produce textiles with enhanced properties, such as fire resistant clothing for the Fire Services. Kevlar is used in some quality walking boots because it is waterproof (when combined with other materials as a composite) but also breathable, ensuring comfort. When Kevlar is used as a composite with rubber, it retains its flexibility. This composite material is used in the manufacture of Formula One Racing Car petrol tanks. The tank holds the petrol safely, even in the event of an accident. The material cannot be pieced by other car components, even during a high speed impact. The petrol does not escape / leak, avoiding fire and explosions. The lightweight tank, adds to the reduced weight of the entire vehicle, leading to a faster racing car.

This review captures it all This is going to be a non-techy review as I am anything but a techy. If you are interested in the J7’s specifications The Boom J7 is officially the first Android device that lasted more than 48 hours in my hands. Being a renowned die hard Blackberry 10 fan, I am quite shocked that I haven’t missed my BlackBerry much from the day I picked up this device. So, come with me for my opinion about this latest offering from TECNO. The Yays! My 1st Yay: Design My first yay for this device is the design. I am talking about looks, feel, colours and all of that. Being a designer, I am almost not attracted to coloured devices. The Boom J7 proved to be an exception. It was love at first sight. I immediately took some time to take in its lovely feel and colour and to caress it. very few devices in this price range give you the semblance of premium that the Boom J7 gives. The colour display too.. erm.. though not as badass as what is on those premium devices that cost as much as my dad’s first car, is very good and clear, with really beautiful wallpapers. As a matter of fact, the wallpapers are so beautiful that Mr Mo took one of it for his device My 2nd Yay: Selfies We all know that until recently, BlackBerry made horrible selfie cameras. As a result, I have been selfie starved for as long as I can remember (I used a Z10). This Boom J7 brought my swags back with its selfie and primary camera. With really clear pictures and well defined colours, one could easily mistake its photo for one from those other high end devices – you know, those ones that are equivalent to your house rent. My 3rd Yay: The Boom Player Boom Player is a music app built into the Boom J7 by TECNO. It is at the core of the new focus on entertainment. It gives the user access to an online music store to stream and/or download music tracks. It also lets the user play music from the device storage or memory card. This is officially my first use of an in-built music and videos streaming app on any device. And I must confess, it feel like I have been living in a cave all my life. It took split seconds for me to get the hang of it and ooo-la-la! I have been on music without end. I do not know how other music apps work, but this one actually gives me the lyrics for every song played and the lyrics downloads with the songs as well. Now, I just pick a song, download it and sing along every other time it plays on my device. For me, that’s the shiiii. Meanwhile, the loudspeaker on its back is simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! We had an in-house test with a really high end device, and honestly, the results blew our minds. And the bundled headphones are really good, producing clear audio. For a mid-range device like this, I can bet my dollars on the fact that it would blow its peers out of the waters. We have a comparison video going out shortly. Watch out for it. My 4th Yay: Ultra power Saving Mode I must not forget to mention that the Boom J7 has an Ultra Power Saving feature. This basically turns the device into an ordinary feature phone with the most basic of functions and without any internet connection. I once had to run on this mode during a weekend party when my battery ran low. Guess – it lasted an amazing 12 more hours of standard use on calls, text messaging, calculator, notebook for jottings and a sound recorder. Because joggling between modes is so easy, you can switch briefly into the smartphone mode to check your messages and switch back to feature phone mode. I particularly like this one because it helps me escape from the usual distractions of the smartphone features and strips me down to the basics when I need to. Nahs? Unfortunately, I have none. The device hasn’t misbehaved in all two weeks it has been with me. It hasn’t lagged once either. I do all my smartphone activities – mails, web browsing, social media, phone calls, mobile banking and some little measure of gaming. The battery is good but not exceptional. It keeps me going throughout my working hours, though one needs to charge up about once every 12 hrs. It doesn’t heat up like some other devices I know and its finishing looks like it will withstand some serious use. I am told by TECNO’s reps that the J7 costs between 23,000- 25,000. Not pricey at all for what it delivers. In my opinion, I think TECNO has hit a good note with the J7. The device can be described in just one word: BOOM! my verdict Tecno j7 is the best smartphone that cost btw 23,000 -25,000 .Forget about those octacore phones around now ,this is innovation at it best from Tecno |
Don't judge phone by specs, the real performance, features and customization is the real deal. This phone has it all believe. I will place this phone above my infinix hot note after playing with the phone for some hrs. Hugely customised ui, fast and responsive. |
lanre316:. I will advise you guys to try Innjoo lol. If this phone is sold at N15,500 then is worth it cos I recently bought an Innjoo i1k for my mum at 13k, the phone was sold for N15,500 before at jumia but since nobody bought it they reduced the price to 13k. Believe me the 5mp camera on that phone is the worst camera on ANY Phone. Even 1.2mp camera on my tecno java phone is way better. I have used tecno, and infinix very well but this Innjoo is crap of company. Infinix is really improving on their smartphone now cos I am currently using their infinix Hot note and is really good but they should ensure their phones come with accessories like pouch, screen guide. So tell me how this phone is expensive at N15,500? Innjoo i1k has 512mb and is dual core with no camera at all and they are selling it at 13k. |
echepops:Noo oo Phantom Z is better |
