deandavid: bros abeg, what professional courses, can a microbiologist do?
You are asking for professional course as if you can pay for the ones available. Professional courses for mcb graduates has either been scrapped (clinical training), too expensive & not really mainstream mcb (environmental) or too long (food/industrial minimum of 3yrs after nysc). You are not ready for what you are asking for.

sova: Am a microbiologist, i believe in d present nd d fulture of diz grt course. we av a stake in nigeria, dia is a grt demand for microbioligist in health, tradomedical, food industries, pharmaceutical industries, breverages, brewing, environmental nd public health monitorin, lecturers nd researchers, epidemiologist, petroleum industries, community health services, customs, SON, NAFDAC etc.
Though u may need connection to gt hooked up deu to d condition for employment in nigeria, moreso, many of dix industries nw prefer 2.1 CGP holder
even without experience wt gud pay, bt d best u cn do for ur self is to increase ur knowledge, apply for sm professional courses.
Finally, remember, as far as dia ar reemerging disease, food nd breverage consumptn. Hope dey for us.

Stop deceiving yourself! There is no great demand for microbiologists in this country, maybe somewhere else, but certainly not nigeria. Avoid fallacious optimism! Mcb is not a good course in nigeria.

texaco1: bad .u know what?cool down ,dont do anything rash i know u are angry and it is understandable ,but if u try to relax u may end up avoiding an action u will later regret.
what pisses me off is the nonchalance he is currently displaying. arggh! angry he's acting as if he doesn't owe me anything. liberty reserve crashed, he was broke and needed money to pump into his business again. i was looking for an investment to make at the time. he convinced me to give him money for his business that he'll pay back with interest. 2 weeks later i noticed he has closed shop. i called him and he started telling me bull! angry i wan do am bad! seriously

PoliticsCourt Orders Arrest Of Lamorde EFCC Boss by marvelling(op): 4:34am On Jun 26, 2013
By IKECHUKWU NNOCHIRI

ABUJA — Justice Peter Kekemeke of an Abuja High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar to arrest the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Lamorde, for disobeying a valid court order.

Justice Kekemeke directed that the EFCC boss and an operative of the anti-graft agency, Mr Friday Ebelo, should be apprehended and kept in prison custody within the next two weeks, except they apologize to a lawyer whose fundamental human rights were allegedly violated by the commission.

Meantime, EFCC, yesterday, vowed to appeal the ruling.

We ‘ll appeal ruling — EFCC

Reacting to the order, spokesman of the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, who acknowledged that a copy of the order was served on the agency, said EFCC has perfected plans to get it vacated.

The court had on March 8 and December 5, 2012, ordered Lamorde to release the call-to-bar certificate of one Mr Innocent Onwu, apologize to him through a national newspaper as well as pay him N50, 000 as compensation.

Onwu who is an Abuja-based lawyer had on October 31, 2011, initiated a fundamental rights enforcement proceeding after he was detained by the EFCC between June 27 and July 1, 2011 without order of court.

His detention was sequel to a petition by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, accusing him of complicity in fraud pertaining to a case he was investigating for a client.

Dissatisfied with the way he was allegedly manhandled by the commission, Onwu demanded N300 million as compensation for the unlawful search of his house and office and the trauma he suffered in the hands of the EFCC.

Besides, the lawyer, claimed his ailing mother was admitted at the Garki General Hospital on the day he was arrested by the EFCC, insisting that despite his passionate pleas, the commission refused to release him to attend to his mother, resulting to her death three days later.

The court had on June 4 and June 24 this year, dismissed two applications filed by the EFCC counsel, Mr James Onu, wherein he sought to void the contempt proceeding.
