The attention of the Ogun State Government has been drawn to comments purportedly made by Governor Dapo Abiodun in reaction to statements made by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during his recent visit to party delegates in the state.
For the avoidance of doubt, the tweet released this morning was an extract to re emphasize the comments of Governor Abiodun to party faithful and appointees on May 29 during the celebration of his third year in office, which also coincided with his 62nd birthday.




The comments could, therefore, not have been a response to comments by Asiwaju Tinubu whose visits to Abeokuta came five days later.

While Governor Abiodun appreciates the media, including online platforms, as partners in progress with Government, he enjoins media practitioners to always report the truth at all times and refrain from giving vent to fake news, distortions and misinterpretations .

A driver is lucky to still have his penis intact after crashing his car while a woman was performing MouthAction on him.



Police say the motorist was receiving MouthAction from a woman while he was driving and this caused him to lose control of the wheel.



He crashed into an oncoming FedEx van in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US.

The collision was not life-threatening but the impact of the crash made the female passenger accidentally bite down hard on her lover's penis.



The SUV driver suffered serious bite injuries to his manhood. The female passenger, who was also practically naked in the car, suffered minor injuries.



Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue told News 10 that a crew was immediately sent to the scene of the head-on collision at North Ocean Boulevard and 19th Street.

The news channel says there were two people inside the FedEx truck whose injuries were minor compared to the naked pair in the SUV.



Fire officials confirmed the woman inside the SUV had been performing MouthAction on the male driver, which caused the collision and left him with injuries to his private area.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to take a final decision this weekend on the way forward as gov­ernors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) failed to agree on a consensus presidential candidate ahead of the party’s national convention sched­uled for Monday, June 6 in Abuja.
The president, who is currently on a trip to Spain at a meeting with the 22 governors of the party and the national chairman, Abdullahi Ada­mu, on Monday, had demanded to be allowed to choose his successor as a sign of reciprocity.

According to him, while governors, who just served their first term were given the privilege of securing second term ticket, outgoing ones, after serving out their consti­tutional two terms of eight years, also had the privilege to choose their successors, he asked to be allowed to choose his successor.

As a way forward, the gov­ernors met twice on Tuesday and Wednesday but could not agree on who to recommend to the president for consideration as there is a sharp division among them on who to pres­ent as a consensus candidate.

With 14 governors in the North and eight in the South, the battle has been turned into a North and South bat­tle with governors from both regions refusing to shift ground.


Daily Independent gathered that APC governors loyal to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a front­line presidential aspirant of the ruling party, have rejected the idea of a Northern con­sensus candidate ahead of the presidential primary.

The pro-Tinubu governors are led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Abdul­lahi Ganduje, Kano; Gboyega Oyetola, Osun; Babagana Zu­lum, Borno; and Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.

Credible presidency sourc­es had earlier informed Daily Independent that the presi­dent is desirous of having his deputy, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, succeed him even though he was yet to formally announce his choice.

There is palpable tension currently at the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) even as the presidential screening committee has disqualified 10 out of 23 aspirants screened to contest the party’s ticket.

Chief John Oyegun is currently submitting its reports to the national chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Committee, John Odigie Oyegun said only thirteen aspirants out of the twenty-three that appeared before the Committee were cleared.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a presidential candidate, has promised to rehabilitate Bakassi’s displaced people if elected.
He made the promise on Wednesday in Calabar, where he was meeting with delegates ahead of the All Progressives Congress’s upcoming presidential primary.

“We will create jobs, we will rehabilitate those who have been displaced in Bakassi,” Tinubu said, adding that he will make Calabar port operational.

Tinubu, who arrived with an entourage that included Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, told the delegates to vote for success and progress and to inquire about his achievements in Lagos.

“I can turn Nigeria around. We will bring back Nigeria’s prosperity. We will create commodity markets. Economic prosperity will be there for you and your children,” he said, adding that he will replicate his achievements in Lagos nationwide if elected president in 2023.

Former Borno governor Hashim Shettima stated that equity, justice, and fairness demand that power be transferred to the south, and that Tinubu is deserving of the position because he has made significant sacrifices to ensure the survival of democracy.

Ganduje also supported zoning the presidency to the South, claiming that Kano would swing votes in Tinubu’s favor.
