Greetings to everyone please I need urgent response and advice.

I made an application for my step daughter. And below is the response from Ukvi. My mother is currently here with me in the Uk.

Pls kindly advice on what to do.

It’s nothing to worry about. I got the same email and the application was successful.

Pls tell us the mistake you avoided and what info helped.

The Mistake I avoided.

Firstly I have done 4 successful visit visa application for my mum twice, myself and now my brother as well as 4 unsuccessful visa applications in the past before this successful ones.
I noticed a pattern with all the application.

You don’t need to quote too much money as money you will spend as a single applicant that has someone that will accommodate you when you arrive in the UK. If you have a low disposable income, keep it around £500 for a 2 weeks visit.

I noticed a lot of single applicants quoting £2,000 to £3,000 for a 10 days visit. It might affect the application especially if your disposable income is not so much. From my personal experience. Keep it around £500 for a single applicant that has someone that will accommodate you when you arrive in the UK.

In addition, the caseworker wants to establish 3 things.

1. Your personal circumstance (Do you have the money you claim to want to spend in your personal account and is the money more than your 3 months disposable income. (It doesn’t matter if you have a sponsor or not.)

2. You have strong ties to Nigeria (you can show this through professional work, Professional qualification exam you are currently writing, family, properties etc)

This is why I will advise that you don’t quote so much money if you have a low disposable income.

3. Is your reason for visiting genuine enough.

For my own application I was only earning 130k disposable income as at that time and I was doing my ACCA exam in Nigeria when I applied. I used my ACCA exam as my ties simply because I am not married and have a low disposable income. (With God’s grace and information i got on this platform,I was given).

For my mum, I stated she is a petty trader, No registered company, No CAC documents. No tax clearance certificate. I didn’t even add pictures of her Shop. I just explained that the income she is getting is sales she makes from her petty trade.

I will advise newbies to please take time to read alot on this forum. The information here is a big live saver. I learnt many of the info from this forum.

I want to say a big thank you to you guys on this platform. The information you share is priceless.

My Elder brother’s visa got approved. 1st time traveler.

Biometrics: 2nd April, 2024
Collection: 12th April, 2024.

I submitted his bank statement, evidence of his 2 properties, invitation letter from my Uni and invitation letter from my Elder sister and other documents.

I stated he will be spending £450. He earns 700k after tax.

I would have made some mistakes but the information I got reading this platform is amazing.

Thank you so so much guys God bless

Please I need your advise guys..

I arrived in the UK in December 2021 on a student visa for an MSc in Financial Technology (January intake). My course ends April 2023.
I have been working part time as a Care assistant for about 2 months. Now the care home is willing to sponsor me on a health and care visa if I want.

I don’t want to apply for a post study visa as I see it as a risk and also a waste of time.

Please can I switch to a skilled worker visa even before finishing my course in April 2023 or I have to wait 3 months to my course end date.

The care home has agreed to station my shift in such a way that it won’t affect my studies even after I switch.

The best thing is to test for malaria, and took malaria injection before coming to uk. If u re coming with those drugs u must come with doctor's prescription and beside she supposed check the drugs in and not inside her hand bag.

For me I had no issue at Heathrow, when I was with my malaria drugs. I was treating Malaria when I came in. It took some days before I was cured

Please help me!!

Biometrics was done on 25th November (priority application). Till now it’s still at DMC. I have sent 2 paid mail and made a call through to them. Their response was that a decision has NOT yet been made.

I asked if they need any supporting documents to process my application but they said NO. That they would have mailed me if they need anything.

Yesterday I sent another paid mail to them and I got this. Does it mean it will be worked on or what else do you advise I do.

Please help me!!!!

Are you certain they would request for the account statement of the principal being the Student? I suppose that's a close chapter?

I was thinking it's the POF of the dependants that's necessary at this stage?

They will likely request it because they will think your trying to recycle the funds for your dependent.
So please make sure the funds your dependent presents covers all of you (including yourself) to avoid delay at DMC.
