Annabelle12344: I'm just worried. That he's going through pain emotionally. I wish he could be fine and happy as usual. because I'm happy with my man whom I'm getting married to. I understand the scenario. He's suffering from what's called oneitis. He's gotten so used to you that made him develope a deep feeling for you. This blinds him to every other options and makes him jealous and see anyone close to you as a threat. No matter how much you like him, he's the one that needs to fix himself. Not you. The best way is for him to keep distance and spend more time with his wife and other people. For a while till he's over you. |
Health › Re: Doctors Trained For Free In Nigeria To Serve For 9 Years Before Leaving - Ngige by Mason360(m): 9:16am On Nov 11, 2021 |
Throwback: I partly agree.
Nigeria has become a training ground for professionals who would benefit other foreign societies.
This is not just about Doctors but all professionals in Nigeria.
We are mostly trained for "free" in Nigeria, then owing to the poor renumeration in the country, many who are already gainfully employed here resign to go take up job offers abroad, without having to take student loans like their peers abroad who are still paying back from their salaries.
We work with them in their Google, or Microsoft, or Apple offices, in their law firms and hospitals, unknown to us that the salary we enjoy, they use to offset the student loans that got them the degree.
We just earn the same salary as them in their country, and have no student loan to worry about.
In Nigeria, you can be the child of a cleaner/janitor and pass through university with a lot of discomfort, but without owing a penny by the time of graduation. Abroad, the child of a janitor without a scholarship (academic or sport), is only in the university doing similar janitorial work. That's where you're wrong. My problem with you is the unequal comparison you are subjecting Nigeria to. So you expect Nigerian students to obtain student loans like other countries. For what exactly. What are the loans justifying? Our sub par archaic educational system?, our non existent facilities?, Have you gone to our medical schools? Have you gone to teaching hospitals? So what should they be taking loans for. We already know we are in high shortage of medical personnels so Nigeria as a whole can't afford to unsubsidize medical education because then only wealthy folks would attend medical school which would further deepen the deficiency we already have. Abroad they already have systems in place that demands student loans. Functional healthcare systems an facilities, fully equipped medical colleges. These costs money so student loans are a must to see them through. Jobs with great renumeration waiting immediately they are done. Welfare packages etc. Please you and your minister should should take your biased out of touch mindset to the sewers. Face Nigeria's reality and fix our whole healthcare/ educational system because if you think that this declaration would stop the Exodus, you are jonzing. |

An old man with few months left to live... still dragging power with youths.
Smh. I guess you couldn't counter my statement so you decided to throw shots at me. You just verified that you an authentic baby. And you are boldly displaying your severe ignorance and immaturity for everyone to see. From your response I've deduced the class of IQ you have. Pathetic loser. Don't bother quoting me again, I won't reply so I don't get infected. |

Show off and true wealth are two different things. I think this thread was created by a kid. A grown ass kid at least. Let Cubana build a refinery or a world class stadium alone. Then we can have an argument. Kids. |

Gwebmaster: Is physiotherapy a good course , speaking of the job availability in Nigeria? Are you seriously asking this? Then you don't know the value of the discipline you chose. I have physiotherapists as friends. The least they are earning currently is 120k per month for their housemanship. They will have way more once they start working fully. |

You'll be combining mbbs and bds in one head. Dental students are the most feared in medical school. You'll definitely pay clinical fee . And it's usually expensive. Equipment and all. At medilag it's even up to 180k+ . Dental training and equipment is expensive. |

Rocktation: The reality is that Nigeria is a terrible place to be. He may not even get admitted with a score of 280, without knowing nobody. Admission based on merit, has since been dead and buried. Worse still, is that when they finish with their man-know-man and you interact with some of them that they push to become the dokitas, you won't be able to differentiate them from native doctors. Don't have this mentality. It's not totally true. Most federal universities like Unilag admit purely on merit basis first before considering man know man, extra leg and all that poo. The remaining spaces they fill in are of those who rejected the admission or didn't have the clearance requirement. If you meet the cutoff, u get admitted. As simple as that. |
